Patrick Mahomes: He is having an incredible season
Bing Bong replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every AFC team has holes but the Chargers. I don't see how whatever NFC team that makes it isn't a lock for the SB. -
AW23 Beef with the Bills-Any insight?
Bing Bong replied to plenzmd1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nvm I guess. You said he needs to move on with his life. Maybe I misunderstood. just don't think we should say this about every Bill making an effort to stay in Buffalo. But I really don't know the story here we just seem quick to pass judgement over a poorly worded tweet -

It's a stupid tweet sure. Why do we want to boot him out of town so bad. -

Exactly what's the difference. I don't know what AW is peeved about but how is his attempt to stay engrained in the community different. JK was once a relatively rich young man retired that stuck in Buffalo getting to know the community just like AW is. But AW needs to move on.. -
McDermott is going to cost us in a big game
Bing Bong replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure. But it's simply a mistake. And I'm talking about the whole Peterman tenure.. like starting him this season. It's a stretch to call that overrated or hysterical.. I guess I'd agree if you're talking about a few people calling for his head. It's not a huge deal but it was dumb. Anyways that was an important game we threw. Just saying this can't happen when we are in a playoff race again. Hindsight's 20/20 and all but watch your doe eyed, questionable decision making, noodle arm, rookie QB practice as you game plan for an Irvin and Bosa pass rush on the road next time McD and maybe carry a better backup.. last year AND this year. ALL rookie mistakes. I'm okay with a rookie HC mistake (as he certainly has merits) I hope he fixes and doesn't repeat. -
I'm reading DK Metcalf.. but as a reach at the position we'd currently draft at. Not that I mind it so long as he's not a Heyward Bey or Ted Ginn type reach. Really wouldn't want to blow that pick like that. Shannon Sharpe says he plays with a piano on his back ?. But no i'd love it. Have a hard time seeing McDermott go for it but seems like a good fit for Allen . I wouldn't bank on him being my no. 1 however. Really looking for a stud here. I think our need for literally every offensive position other than Quarterback gives us leeway for BPA regardless. Ideally WR but whatever. Any position on offense. Unfortunate that it's stacked on D but if there's no WR (which is really what I want to know) I think a trade down for as many OL first round grades as possible is gravy as well. I'd still take a Mike Evans caliber WR if such exists with a high pick.

So.. I'm assuming free agents are going to be prorated up as well as re-signs going forward. Sounds like these increases don't make much of a difference as we should mind that every team is getting it and consequently we shouldn't complain if we sign a FA for what would be a ludicrous contract for any position 2 years ago.

Black Monday Is Coming: Which Coaches Get Fired?
Bing Bong replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I motion we shorten this list. -
That's my ultimate priority I want to see this off-season. I know we have the money and likely a decent draft position. I'd take an elite pass rusher if it's there for the taking and no great WR or OL is available but I want a stud WR and OL, OL, OL, OL. I have no idea if there's that guy in the top 10 in the draft. Don't want to reach for a Ted Ginn type if this draft is weak. And if Tyrell Williams is available (I keep hearing him come up), he's a solid get we should go after but that's not enough IMO. Who's the best guy in the draft ? Who's the best guy likely available in FA? That's essentially my question.

If Frazier is going to insist on never blitzing we need some quality pass rushers in the offseason. And given that we need all the offense we can get this offseason.. Frazier better learn a few blitz plays .

Bing Bong replied to HomeskillitMoorman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely. And why should he? Has a lot of merits. Great defensive mind for this era of football. Then again if we're buying to the argument he's running personnell as well (which I sincerely hope not) then yeah.. he's digging his own grave. I can't let the Chargers game slide. I'll chalk up the Peterman experience to a former DC making a rookie HC mistake with a QB. But boy that's a major screw up last year I never want to see again. If we bench Allen after a few bad games for god knows who the next late draft QB he falls in love with at some point he ain't learning. -

Can't see him being fired. Likely on a very short leash next year. -

Wowww no Adam Gase?? He's the worst coach on the board IMO. Wanted to see who voted for McD lol and why he's on this poll. Clearly not getting fired. Yeahhh we should shorten this list because a. Interim coaches aren't getting fired until end of year. Damage to the team is already done. b. We can rule out year 1 and most year 2 coaches.. like McDermott. Nah I say take him off if that's likely the case. I'd say Koetter, Bowls, and Gase are the main suspects . Although Gase likely stays.. undeservedly. I just personally think is a bad coach. His record isn't horrible but he's had a much better team to work with than anyone on this list. Maybe Vance Joseph. Tossup between those 3 -

I can see that happening to athletes I guess. Sounds like those up in Buffalo got to know him after he got real success. He was a real quiet humble guy for a star athlete at my highschool and college. But I'd really like to know wtf he's talking about. Being denied to run out the field isn't even Bills Mafia that he's complaining about right? Dude.. why are we coveting a man's money who lost his career to injury. I don't know the story here but what he got paid for what he did with the Bills and subsequently got injured for doing his job has nothing to do with it. -

Is he? I wouldn't really know. He was a pretty humble shy kid in highschool for a superstar athlete. Maybe he's changed after being in Buffalo as a Pro athlete.. definitely leads you to douche territory getting to that highest level. I'd like to know what he's like now.. any anecdotes? -

Do you honestly have ANY idea what he's talking about though? Maybe some drunk Bills Mafia fan berated his performance with the Bills. But he probably wanted handouts lol. Makes sense. Sounds like he's trying to be a part of the Buffalo community. Do you say this about Jim Kelly too? Embraces Buffalo but that sad ba*****d should probably move on with his life too huh. -
I was expecting a chart graphic Actually we did this at length with early Tyrod and his outside throws. I'm VERY curious to see Allen's. I'll bet no checkdowns. A lot of intermediate middle routes. And deeper completions spread evenly.

That's true and all. But I prefer that over late round younguns underperforming. We need to address this whole group feels like, and I'd prefer shoring up the interior first. He's below average but not horrible. Whatever. I know very little OL evaluation or about our OL. I'll chill with the hot takes and defer to y'all.. they seem so bad on paper but seem somewhat capable at times?? Or maybe it's JA balling out and Barkley throwing quickly. The run blocking ain't passing my eye test and I've been told Mills is okay at that. That's a hot take haha. I'll say the legs and reckless abandoness to run of Kaep or early Cam (which is better than Elway's I have to imagine), and basically everything else Favre.. reckless, powerful, confident but certainly not Marino perfect. I guess Favre guts and Kelly guts are the same around here. I don't think anybody will have Favre guts but Allen certainly seems up for it.. Whatever announcer said he is Steve Young.. no way. He's Favre with wheels. Don't get me wrong. That is AWESOME. But he's going to be a frustrating and fun gunslinger. Not a constant league leader of passer rating, but a gutsy gunslinger that hits more home runs than he makes crippling mistakes (which I'll imagine he'll do a lot of both) I don't see Randall Cunningham though.. he was like a slippery water bug while Allen gallops tall like Kaep. He scrambles and doesn't read option, but it's completely vertical running like how Kaep gashed the Packers.

Tonight’s game thread Seahawks Vikings
Bing Bong replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I mean this dude can at least put up numbers haha I mean there are so many worse free agent signings. He was high priced and all but he's not even in Haynesworth's ballpark. -
Sure but it's irrelevant to my point of what he can do next week (or the OP if I understand correctly) a rookie 5th rounder can have potential but we're just talking about what would have worked out better this season. Sounds like he's our better interior OL from the other posts. Not that it's a high bar. I can't judge interior OL but feels like I constantly hear his named called for holding penalties.

Jordan's got a weak argument for his hit. Dirty play. I'm not too worked up because I didn't think it was a hard hit really. Just looked that way. I'm sure it hurt like hell, but to Pat's point (who was an excellent punt coverage guy for a friggin punter) he's gotta be aware that he either is showing no attempt to make a play, or have his head on a swivel and go in aggressively. SH did neither and got a dirty cheapshot for it. Hard to tell from the replays but it makes sense not to slowly jog towards the returner ball watching like you think you're sneaking by the blockers and not be aware of where all the blockers are coming from. I also still hate his argument on the slide tackle earlier. SH clearly pulled up and purposefully didn't make contact. I think even football players should recognize that was a slip up that he righted by pulling his body away as he started the motion.
