It would be a VERY popular thread lol. We already have a Foster WR1 thread floating around.

Well CBBlitz for sure. I love his work (he has to get paid by some media outlet right??) He's working full time on this board and I certainly love that. Probably get 90% of my football news from him and a few others.

the people with a giant number of posts don't start threads lol. This place would be deeeaaaaaad. The 30k+ group prefers to crap on 80% threads as inferior before they settle down and start having a conversation eventually. If you're seriously taking suggestions I'm perfectly fine the way it is. A lot of threads are started, for the most part by people with low post counts / rep points, and lurkers with 5 or so posts can make great threads with a topic they feel compelled to bring up that's a fresh perspective rather than same-old same-old type threads (Josh Allen will be MVP / Josh Allen will be best Bills QB ever!).

WR Technique Q - Overthrow to Foster

right? He wasn't even dead on accurate. Didn't need to be. You throw an arc like that and as long as you have the distance the WR has a cakewalk finding the ball. That play simply looks like a decision by Rivers to forgoe the difficult strike to make it easier for everybody (himself included) to throw and catch. He's got some even more exaggerated comical floaters for 40-50 yard longballs, they're hard to find on youtube but I remember when many were making fun of him for that. But it works so dang well. -

But I have to disagree with this man.. Just don't touch a woman like that, idiot or not, aggravating you or not. No matter what's said just be verbal or ignore it. Women can really try to tick you off as opposing fans (or any situation when they want to rile you up). And they can get away with doing stupid stuff you can't do back. It happens to me and I just have to grudgingly accept that they are to be ignored. -

It's definitely fan culture to some degree. I'm in Dallas and notice a marked difference in fan etiquette at Mavericks games (I go to a lot) and what I see from like.. Pistons fans on TV. Cowboys, Mavs and Stars games all seem pretty tame from everywhere else I've been.. with the lone exception of when Philly is in town. Yeah people get aggravated after drinking a lot and then being cut off. They're annoyed and looking for something else to do, and are already drunk enough to do damage. I think unless you keep it dry (blech) you might as well serve the whole time, you serve at all and you're going to have drunks anyway. -

That's just harmless fun /s (to everybody but himself and whoever he unfortunately may have landed on). but THAT'S something I would do blackout drunk. Maybe I'm a pansy with no testosterone but the LAST thing I would do is fight anyone.. talk trash hammered drunk and get my *** kicked? pretty likely. I'm not proud of my Cowboys game 2-3 years ago. Had a few too many and REALLY aggravated some Cowboys fans making fun of the Greg Hardy signing and Zeke scandal and calling them out for rooting for criminals (easy go-to trash talk for enemy fans. I'd have a field day with the Redskins fans) but man idk how I didn't get beat to a pulp that day. -
Well I ain't complaining to take it down either lol. Just a minor nuisance being at the top of the feed.

Heard about this. Don't understand violence at a football game for any reason.. talk trash / be witty / deescelate when a meathead takes legitimate offense. This story goes above and beyond. Make sure this ain't us boys. -
WR Technique Q - Overthrow to Foster
Bing Bong replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's what I wanted. Him getting thrown to the fire and exceeding expectations is all the more reason to know he has the confidence and makes no excuses, doesn't feel sorry for himself. I said all year I'm perfectly fine with throwing him to the fire to find out his gumption. I don't believe in "David Carr"ing a QB. Allen has the exact intangibles I look for. -
Then don't bump it! I don't want it at the top of my feed either so I check what's going on and it's you bumping it back up to the top because you want it to go away. Simple solution haha
-
And not bump it voicing your displeasure. The thread will die by virtue of being ignored if I don't constantly see it bumped to the top because people keep chiming in to remove lmao.

WR Technique Q - Overthrow to Foster
Bing Bong replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
His biggest critic needs to be his Quarterback coach. He played well. But not perfect. I simply try to find where he can improve on these plays. I certainly don't want Allen apologists on this board coaching him. "Eh not your fault, Foster didn't run fast enough". There's ALWAYS room for improvement in JA's game and that's not being negative about his performance it's hoping he improves on these small details so it's no longer everybody else's fault.. it can be his great play in a few years that leaves no one to blame save for a blatant drop. Yep. Chemistry is huge. That play with Zay open in the end zone. Was simply JA going by the play design not knowing where Zay wanted it lead to him at that specific cover 0 man point in the play with his guy beat. He didn't know how far behind his man was and certainly didn't want to stop and not be open if he had a better man covering him. Fitz to Stevie was a perfect example of chemistry working out when Fitz got a knack for where Stevie wanted to go and expected the ball. -

Also why I didn't exactly love the first half hail Mary as well. We all know Allen has the arm, hail Mary's don't have nearly the shot Rodgers gets with it because Quarterbacks with weaker arms can't throw that far and straight up lob it so your tall recievers have a better chance of finding and getting to the ball in time to play jump ball (which they have an advantage over smaller CBs). Allen can certainly do that. Again, same premise sort of.. some players he can learn from as he develops. -
WR Technique Q - Overthrow to Foster

Pretty condescending post thrown at you. I agree with that point. But when Josh is throwing such a low arc it makes it harder for the WR to do what you say. He puts air in the ball and goes a bit longer on it.. it's a slower play albeit but it's easier for the QB and WRs to recognize that acceleration to where the ball is going to go no? I don't know my Xs and O's like you do.. just an observance so correct me if I'm wrong. But Phillip Rivers throws throws these comical floaters that work so well. I have to imaging JA and Foster would be better off floating it up there focusing on the completion even if it doesn't net a home run. When the man is beat, he's beat. Phillip understands when he arcs it, the margin for error is significantly reduced and he's more concerned with getting the completion first and letting the WR do what your saying with an easier level of difficulty -

Phillip Rivers is the king of those high floaters for big completions.. to the point it looked crazy how well it worked for him. -

WR Technique Q - Overthrow to Foster
Bing Bong replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was my impression. To someones point earlier, sure, Foster didn't accelerate like the best in the game.. but Allen just didn't arc the ball for Foster to have more time to be able to kick it into that gear. Would have been great if he was dead accurate: ball gets to him faster. But lofting the ball higher and a little farther makes it so much easier for both QB and WR.. even if it slows the play down so that it's not a TD, focus on getting the catch. -
Bills fans thoughts on our meltdown this year?
Bing Bong replied to Ice bowl 67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya gotta deal with it though. It's certainly a fault of Rodgers for being so stubborn and difficult, especially as he's gained more validation in the years after the SB. But there's nothing the FO can really do about it. I'm envisioning a defensive minded HC (who leaves the pampering to the OC), and a more quarterback friendly, been there, done that, sort of OC to be Rodgers' playcaller/yes man. Like a.. Frank Reich type or something. -
This take is also a bummer out of left field 4 weeks too late.

Welcome to our world Ice Bowl 67! I love you now more than ever. You've been inducted into a Bills season of the 21st century. Best luck for all of us next year. Nah, and you won't be. I mean you're not even in the same conference so.. ya just walked a mile in our shoes this year.. call it character building -
lol I've crapped on "The Process" since we coined it. Gotta put it in my 2 cents here in essay form. Just hate the slogan, not always the actions.
