A lot of offensive possessions leading to no first downs isn't gonna win you a game either. Not 5 interception bad but not good either. Even when the defence was a turnover machine the team the Bills would barely win when it should of been total destruction. The Miami game should of been total destruction and it wasn't. You can say it was a bad move after the fact but don't be afraid to acknowledge that the team was spanked two games in a row before the benching. Not exactly any easy sell to say it would of been a win if not for the benching of Tyrod. We barely beat KC in the same fashion that we barely beat the Colts with a rookie and his backup.

I think another poster said it best that the message was sent when they benched him. That's a clear indication of what the people in charge think of his ability. I like Tyrod. The experiment was almost good enough. How much of the offensive struggles is directly on him I don't know but the chatter is out there and the negatives people say about him are starting to define him. If Tyrod breaks the drought by some miracle then of course perceptions change. If not then I think that experiment is over.

I think starting Nate Peterman was a desperate move. The team looked like it was on a serious down trend. Nate Peterman was an unknown and instead of sitting on his hands the HC took the risk and it backfired. It could of been a good move if Nate put on a great performance. It was a bad move because he threw 5 interceptions. You wouldn't know if it was worth the risk until you take it. People look like geniuses when they take risks and it works. People look like fools when those risks backfire. The point is before you take a risk you can't know if it will pay off. It might of made a difference or it might not have. The Bills could of still lost with Tyrod or they might of won. The world will never know. The thing that no one could deny is the team was losing and that respective 5-2 was fading away into Oblivion. I applaud the HC for at least trying to shake things up and fix the season. It answered questions I had at the time. I never will have to wonder if Nate could of saved the season. I know now that the Bills will just have to live with what Tyrod can do. I think the HC admitting it was a calculated risk should be respected. That everything was falling apart anyway so what did he have to lose when the team was losing badly anyway. It's not like he benched a guy that was lighting it up all year.

"Patriot Way": Officiating Catalog
Lfod replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think your team wins so much it has become boring to you as a fan. It's just like being a kid living in a candy shop. None of the candy taste the same. I think secretly your a closet Bills fan and just defend the Pats stuff as a defensive mechanism because of denial. You put on the Pats gear but you don't get that feeling of hope at the start of the season anymore because it's the same every year for you. Top of the division and Superbowl. Then you pull out a Bills uniform and put it on and you feel that hope you don't get from the Pats anymore. You want the Bills to take the Patriots out so you can experience loss again. -
So if we end up 9-7 and lose a tie-breaker...

The Jets and Panthers for me personally. Deep down I just wanna say the offensive side of the ball and just point to that. -
Gronk already cost us the playoffs
Lfod replied to re enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The premise for this can not be a realistic hope. Like man we could really win this game if the Pats*** rest starters. The Bills could of done better through the stretch to not be hanging on a thread at this point. I wouldn't want to be the Bills needing a win at Pat's**. What cost us the playoffs was not getting into better position earlier in the season so they wouldn't have to depend on beating a team the offence scored 3 points on during the last match up. What cost us the Playoffs if anything was an offence that often can not put a ton of points on the board or have at least the possibility of that. The last match up 23 points scored by the Patriots wasn't unbeatable. I think 3 touchdowns on offense could of done it. I wouldn't have wanted it this way. I would of rather been in better position at this point but that's the way it turned out so let's hope instead of the hopes the Pats go easy on us, let's hope the Bills don't go easy on them. P.s. I'd rather they just make plays. Thats how you get revenge against Gronk. Shut down Brady and intercept his passes. -
I didn't know it was that bad. Hard to argue with that.

I kinda think the entire offence has struggled this year to the point I am not worried about being focused on a rookie WR. Besides when you throw young guys on the team you sort of have to be understanding of the struggle. I guess people bust sometimes or the term "bust" wouldn't exist. Look at the bright side he hasn't been injured 5 times this year. I guess when he's the only one on offence not playing to a desired level I'll be more critical. I do understand the concern but your pointing at the white spec in the pile of chicken poo. I don't even think the wide receivers on this team get enough targets that his one target and drop a game is really effecting the big picture. Like yea his drop in the game against the Panthers hurt but that wasn't the real reason we lost that game. It's just the reason we didn't win. The entire offence was a bust in a few games this year for sure. My only beef is trading up. You just can't give up extra picks for a dude that will struggle.

Do we make the upset in Foxboro?
Lfod replied to Braedenstearns's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It sure would be nice. I think the defense would keep us in the game for sure and that's all I can say. -
Any new coach would have a catch phrase. Every business has some catch phrase. At Lowe's they want you to "Love where you live" at Burger King you can "Have it your way." Bills have "One Buffalo" and "Trust the process." I don't care what the catch phrase is because it's just words. They absolutely mean nothing to a fan or player unless your successful. It's a lot easier to buy into the "Patriot Way" because it's proven and trusting the process is unproven. What matters to me is the action behind those words. The things that happen behind the scenes. I want to trust that the process is a serious thing that brings blood, sweat, tears and eventually championships. I don't want a catch phrase to make me feel good. Everybody trust the process if the process wins. So chances are we won't make the playoffs. The Bills have not in a long time. When they finally do it will be something so special that no other fan besides a Bill fan will understand how special. The feeling will never be compared to a Patriots playoffs. A Patriots Superbowl will never be as awesome as when the Bills go next. I'm a fan. I have no choice but to buy in. If I didn't think I could anymore I wouldn't watch the sport. Bills are my team. They are the underdog I am an underdog. I sympathize with thier flaws just as I know I have my own. The Bills have been borderline Playoff team for the last few years and I don't think it will be long. Just have to let the dust settle after the shake up and see what we have. I just think it's to soon to call it a failed experiment. We seen the gutting of the team lead to a similar record we had before it was done. What we have not seen is what the rescource from all that will bring in. That will be the point I feel like I can lean tword bad or good. I feel like I only seen half of the process at this point.

Will Bills Honor McCoy when career over
Lfod replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dumb question so please don't laugh to hard. Does the wall ever fill up or have limited spaces? Do you ever have to remove a name to make room for another. I know it's a dumb question. -
I'm not gonna hold the Nate Peterman quarter back change over his head. It backfired on him but he showed me that he is will to do anything and leave no stone unturned to make this team better.

Official fire Rick Dennison thread
Lfod replied to Buffalo Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that teams know we lean heavy on the run game because of a deficiency in the passing game. Our team knows this as well. The problem is that even if everyone in the world knew his next move would be a shady run he would still call it. At least that's the way it looks to me. Anyway his job is OC and the offensive side of the ball stalls out to much and that's on him at the end of the day. I'm not fully on board with firing him because there is a lot I don't know. How much is it because of execution. How much is it him being forced to be one dimensional because a weak passing attack. It's been a strange year indeed. From a hot start to a tire fire to still in the hunt. The offense has been a hot mess for the most part this year and he inherited it or is the cause of it. I'm not fully sure what the answer is. -
If Tyrod can make plays like he did today in the first half on a more consistent basis I would call him franchise because we would be more then just in the hunt right now.

I'll own up to it. I predicted a bills loss today. I was wrong and the Bills played a good game. Was a sloppy second half and you almost didn't get your chance to see people eat crow. I was wrong the offense was far more productive then I would have thought and the defense played how I thought they would. The Bills didn't look at all like they would lose even when they were slipping. I never want to be right if I think the Bills will lose. That's never a good feeling for me. I'll eat my crow. Yummy! Please keep in my that I don't pound the table on my opinions. I won't just say people are wrong if they disagree with me. Was a good game and a great team win. I'm not gonna even say that we won't beat the Patriots. Go Bills!

Good game. Sloppy second half. Shouldn't of let Miami sniff a chance at recovery. -

I think sometimes the Bills think the game is over before it is. Still in good position but didn't have to be this way. -

McBigBalls just being aggressive after being questioned about the 4th and 1in overtime vs the Colts. Don't question Coach or he has to show you.
