  1. I've been assuming #12 in 2018 is less valuable to teams and us compared to our 2019 1st rd pick. Now I'm questioning that...
  2. If we trade up for a qb, what positions on the o-line are the ones we target this year and next for an upgrade? C, RG, RT, LG (in that order?) Do we have long term clarity at any of those spots yet?
  3. The conviction (negative or positive) of some on a specific player is comedic to me. Yes, I'm that guy. Willfully acknowledging I have convictions about people having convictions.
  4. "2019 has no QB's. This one has 4-5. It's now or never" Two of your convictions in that statement could be right. They could be wrong. The only thing I'm confident in saying is that it is not now or never.
  5. If you say so. It's weird because I want a QB this year. Just not how I would think or speak about it. I always try to remove my own ego/hubris. Keyword: try
  6. And that is perfectly well within your right to be mad if that's what happens. I wouldn't love it as a fan either. I just maybe happen to see the state of the team differently, playoff-drought-breakage notwithstanding.
  7. What if we somehow end up with an extra 1st Rounder in 2019, don't take a quarterback in 2018 draft, and roll with Peterman/Vet/undrafted rookie in 2018, resulting in a 5-11 record and our own top 10 pick? What if the top 4 guys in your opinion (and most analysts) is not their top 4? What if they have 1 guy rated as worthy of trading up for and they can't get there? What if 2019 is the best QB class in the past 15 years? Why box yourself in with this nonsense?
  8. If this was sarcasm, I apologize. I'm no Allen homer by any means, but 4th round?!?! And I've read a lot about him as well. Even watched 2 whole games! And I wasn't that impressed in that huge sample size. But 4th round?!? **My Personal QB Strategy Disclosure: I just want the Bills to like a guy enough they go up and get him. (that's my first choice of options). Do I have a top 4 rankings of those guys in my head? Sure. Do I for one second pretend to know where they SHOULD slot? Nope. But that's not a cool take in this Hot Take world.
  9. by the time we get to the draft the Bills will have been linked to each of the top quarterbacks (if they haven't already) in publications I'd consider trustworthy. is this just inevitable these days for all QB needy teams considering the amount of publications/journalists in the sport? is this the organization making sure no one can get a solid read on us? muddy waters.
  10. First and foremost it's how I feel about the Quarterback, how I feel about Kirk Cousins. Some will argue he's a top 10 quarterback. I can't say that they're wrong. But I believe them to be wrong. I personally would rather roll the dice on a rookie. I understand the odds and the crapshoot nature of that strategy. I understand there's no guarantee there's a rookie we love enough to move up and draft. I just know how I feel about the Kirk Cousins the QB and I do not want to go that route. With that being said, if they do sign Cousins, I'll quickly be on board and can appreciate the value of being able to fill holes with the draft picks. It's just not my preference or first choice of how things could shake out.
  11. I can't speak for everyone, but I'm kind of sick of this comment/sentiment. It shows lack of understanding of someone else's argument. You don't need to agree but come on.
  12. My friend keeps talking about getting a QB at #21. I'd hope whichever QB we take (if we do) that we believe they belong at the top of the 1st round. Would we have the necessary intel on all the other teams to sit pat and draft at 21 if you're convinced on someone? I want them to be convinced of whoever they take and that means in a weird way that I hope they trade up. Or trade back on one of the picks, acquire more ammunition and make the 2019 draft your QB draft. I'm really okay with any route they choose here which is funny because they are very different options.
  13. I would lose all faith in the process if they sign Cousins.
  14. I had dream last night Bengals won and the bills were tied late in 4th...
  15. Owen OWEEEN! In all seriousness, I had nightmares as a child from TMFTT and Goonies because of her. glad she is dead, fiction or not.
  16. Fair point and as a usual grass lot tailgater, I do favor less police presence ;). Btw, how have I never stumbled upon one of these scenes?? Head must be in the clouds. Or already affected decisions on new stadium planning... Or is that too far?
  17. I don't condone the actions. However, as long as no one is harming anyone else other than themselves, go for it. Very surprised so many people are "embarrassed" and seem to care so much about our national image. I understand why the bills and city do not like it. I do not get anyone that is personally embarrassed or embarrassed on behalf of another entity. Go bills. The football team.
  18. I like mcd but sounds like he is using confirmation bias and in fact not learning from mistakes if he would make same choice again. Again as someone said, bigger picture is important, more important in fact, which is why I like mcd... But it is correct to worry about his in game decision making skills thus far. I'm not calling for riverboat Ron with our current roster but I do expect better than punting in that spot. And wasting a timeout. Someone was lobbying to go for it.
  19. I don't know how I feel about my team responding and retaliating in yesterday's game. I really don't know. What I do know are my feelings regarding Jim Kelly, and that is that I don't care what he has to say about the current state of the bills. He needs to stop this or politely decline to answer or give a boring response. I don't think he's doing a service to the team by making those comments. I can only see how the comment could hurt the team (and I don't think it truly 'hurts' the team, but it is divisive), and I can't see how that helps the current team and organization in any way. He can say the things he does as that is his right, I just disagree with doing so. Should I assume that Jim's best interests are the teams best interest? Probably not. And has he done a tremendous amount of good in the community? Of course. Just fatigued from this kind of thing which I'm sure is a direct result of the fatigue caused by being a Buffalo Bills fan.
  20. Could we view this as a positive? I'd almost rather they get after tyrod as compared to the containment strategy. Sad.
