  1. That's why you go for 2. The most probable thing happening was/is KC fg. Being down 5 gives you a chance if they kick the fg. If you miss the 2 pt you are still down 7.
  2. good thing it isn't a penny... " What he and his fellow researchers discovered (here’s a PDF of their paper) is that most games of chance involving coins aren’t as even as you’d think. For example, even the 50/50 coin toss really isn’t 50/50 — it’s closer to 51/49, biased toward whatever side was up when the coin was thrown into the air." https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/gamblers-take-note-the-odds-in-a-coin-flip-arent-quite-5050-145465423/#:~:text=For example%2C even the 50,was thrown into the air.&text=The spinning coin tends to,it finally comes to rest.
  3. Isn't his point in his post to defend against people saying it's ridiculous we would even consider it ? That's how I took it. In which case I agree with Aristocrat.
  4. I would guess you're right about the terms/length for each team and what they are offering. I don't necessarily agree with your last sentence.
  5. I've listened to this so many times I've convinced myself its the best song ever...
  6. Most COVID spread and deaths are not the result of malicious intent... Ignorance can be just as destructive.
  7. The NFL knows most of their fans don't care that their math and protocols have gaping holes.
  8. I wonder if the calculus was the possibility miami-denver won't matter in the standings. Could be way off depending on when it's rescheduled.
  9. Do you think they went this route of postponing DEN v MIA because they are likely to end up not needing to play that game cuz they suck?
  10. I say we beat the Chiefs 25% of the time. Which must blow your mind.
  11. From article today: "I'm not sure what's crazier: the idea that Allen would be third in the MVP race after four games, or that Bills fans might realistically be able to get angry at his being only third in the MVP race after four games." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30066061/2020-nfl-quarter-season-awards-picks-mvp-rookies-year-top-coach-best-catch-more
  12. Fair point as I have no idea how the TV coverage would work. I just think if the league wanted it on a Friday or Saturday, they would ask for a waiver, and it would be granted by the government. I don't think there is risk of jeopardizing their relationship with college football due to the reasons. But if the broadcast range was severely limited as precedent seems to suggest, then everything I said is moot I'd imagine.
  13. check out the wikipedia page. an exemption occurred due to Hurricane Wilma https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_Broadcasting_Act_of_1961
  14. to your point maybe? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sports_Broadcasting_Act_of_1961 "Exceptions[edit] This portion of the act has since been partially circumvented; the NFL extended its season in 1978 to allow a few weeks of Friday night or Saturday games if the league so wished. Late-season Saturday games have been common since then, but Friday night games are still extremely rare; the league has played only eight Friday games since 1978, mostly because of the NFL's restrictions during Christmas. In 2005, a Miami Dolphins-Kansas City Chiefs matchup, scheduled for Sunday, October 23 in Miami, was moved up to 7pm Friday night due to Hurricane Wilma. The game was televised only within 75 miles of Miami and Kansas City.[4][5][6]"
  15. I thought the season shouldn't happen. I went against my own principles by watching and enjoying the ride. I disgust myself but have accepted this. If one person (that could be someone not even in contact with a Tenn player) dies...man, what are we doing? I think we are all Pieces of you know what. That's how I feel. Sorry, not sorry.
  16. When baseball started out rough, I thought if Marlins ended up playing 50/60 games, I'd be okay with them going by win % for all teams. with nfl being 16 games, Idk if that works as well here. I don't think it would even be an option or is even being discussed as an option. I just thought win % is pretty fair if enough games played but with talking to friends and hearing others opinions on here, it seems that would not be kosher for most.
  17. I thought it was a joke when I saw the link to the Lockport Union Sun and Journal hahahah crazy times.
  18. For me, they're just words. Under most circumstances, I love it. C-word, F-word, it don't matter. Love 'em all. Kill 'em with kindness? Kill 'em with a nicely timed F-bomb.
  19. that's not my rational, that's yours. and I would say his misses have definitely had a negative impact. I'm just not ready to give up on a kicker we spent a draft pick on and one that this coaching staff sees every day in practice. if you want to write off a kicker after his first 4 games, that's your right. I just disagree.
  20. At this moment I believe you are making it a bigger deal than it is.
