  1. Just knowing he is on the PS may get Bass to get "his mind right".
  2. I defended Bass for a long time. It's time for him to get his head straight. He has to have competition. Maybe that will help. If he can't take that pressure, he sure won't take playoff pressure.
  3. If I had it my way, I would have these kickers compete and the best gets a PS slot. Continue the competition (now with Bass) and elevate him for a game if it looks promising.
  4. It seems to me an UFA with void years can be considered a CFA IF the Void years expire "Automatically". I have seen that in a lot of contracts notes, but I don't see it in Coopers. Not saying it isn't there. Pretty confusing "legalese" but FWIW here is the rule in the CBA. https://overthecap.com/collective-bargaining-agreement/appendix/V 8. No UFA shall qualify as a CFA unless and until the maximum possible term of the player’s contract (“Maximum Possible Term”) has expired, and all other requirements have been satisfied. The Maximum Possible Term of any Player Contract shall be determined as of the date of such contract’s execution and shall include all years of the contract (including, without limitation, option years and voidable years). Notwithstanding the foregoing, a UFA shall qualify as a CFA if the Maximum Possible Term of the player’s contract failed to expire solely as the result of a provision stating that a specified contract year or years shall void automatically upon a specified day or date or upon the achievement of a roster condition with no additional contingencies (“Automatic Voidable Year”), unless the expired contract is a renegotiated contract that included a new or earlier Automatic Voidable Year within the Maximum Possible Term of the player’s prior contract and such void occurred. For the avoidance of doubt, no UFA shall qualify as a CFA if the Maximum Possible Term of the player’s contract is reduced as the result of the player’s or the Club’s decision to exercise, or not to exercise, any contractual rights, whether individually or in combination. No UFA shall qualify as a CFA if the player’s NFL Player Contract is renegotiated to reduce the Maximum Possible Term of the contract. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Paragraph 9, in the event a Club elects not to exercise a Fifth-Year Option under Article 7, Section 7, nothing in Article 6 or this Appendix shall operate to preclude the player from qualifying as a CFA upon expiration of the fourth year of his Rookie Contract if all other requirements are satisfied.
  5. I meant that IMO to fit him into the #1 role with the other WRs and their new roles, is not going to happen overnight. I still think that.
  6. I'm not sure there is time for that during the season. IMO.
  7. It seems to me it will take Brady a while to look up Amairi's film and fit him totally in. Not sure what the WR roles will be once that happens. It would be nice for Cooper to help some with Keon's development.
  8. That would be a bit of shock for me, but I never say "never". If he picks things up it's fine with me.
  9. Amari won't start in my opinion, but he will get snaps Sunday.
  10. MVS was a wishful lottery ticket that didn't have one number right. Had to move on. I for one am a little shocked on how badly he failed in Buffalo. Oh well.
  11. Corrected the 7th to a 6th next year. Adding the possibility of an extension OR the comp pick (which in my opinion should be at least a 4th in 2026). Getting Cooper for $800k lessens the big cap hit for the Diggs trade. IMO, IF Amari clicks with Josh (which is a possibility) Beane could make a back loaded contract work. But like you said, that's all about next year. Let's hope he fits right in and makes a difference.
  12. True. He has too many push kicks that don't get enough elevation. Yes but $4.3M this year and $3M next year. His current cap hit is $4.4M. Technically a cut saves 100k this season.
  13. Got the W. No major injuries. Bills have Titans at home next week. Jets go to Pittsburgh for SNF. With a little luck, could be up 3 1/2 games on the Jets next Sunday.
  14. His dead money is the same for trades or outright cut. It equals to almost half of his remaining cap hit. I'm for taking the risk he will come back worth the difference in dead vs cap hit.
  15. He whacked his head hard. Was it enough to "officially" be a concussion. I don't know and I can't see how any one of us fans can. Boxers take shots to the head and get dazed all the time. Every one of those hits are not a concussion. I do know that I don't want to see him get whacked again this week.
  16. The Buffalo Bills are a lot better team than their norm. I like that. I'm hoping for the big season every year with Josh and company. I'm really, really, trying to take this season "one game at a time". I'm not trying to dig into the what's and why's this year. Now the Buffalo Sabres....................................................................................................................................................................
  17. I think this might be accurate. I got a laugh out of it too.
  18. I spent a lot of time there years ago when I was stationed in Florida in the Air Force. Venice was a cool town to visit. When I visit the west coast now, I can't believe how it has grown in population. There is a lot of people facing a perilous night.
  19. Sarasota sounds like it will be ground zero. I have a good friend living in Englewood and she is going to stay in place. I wish she would evac. Most of the western coast has the barrier islands but I always thought about a hurricane hitting around Venice. There is nothing but beach and ocean in that town. I wouldn't want to be there today.
  20. Sometimes I wonder how much fans on this board actually look at the rest of the NFL teams. Have you all seen what is happening so far this year? Currently there are 5 teams with a better record than the Bills. That includes the Vikings and Commanders (who NO ONE would have guessed). The Ravens game was a bad one. Texans could have gone either way and surely was a heartbreaker. I'm going to sit back and watch the games hoping they stack enough wins to get into the dance.
  21. Approval is only determined with an evaluation of all his moves. There are hits, misses and a lot of grey areas. Then his players are given to coaches who need to dovetail it all together.
  22. Just wanted to post in this thread again to help push it to its Sesquicentennial page. I will only add that I am disappointed in how Curtis Samuel has played/used along with Dawson Knox. These 2 players need schemes and targets.
  23. Cook TD. Comeback time with Houston once again?
