  1. Which brings me to my questions. How much is the players responsibility and how much on the coaches during a game. Also, specifically concerning the "everybody eats" scheme of Brady's, how much influence (play by play) does he have and how does he call it. If he has little influence than it's all on Josh and the players. Of course, that holds true on both sides of the ball.
  2. Just to let you know why I'm asking. It seems to me that Brady is establishing this "everybody eats" system as a true offensive scheme. If the team (for the sake of argument) has a bunch of WR2s, distributing the ball to the correct player becomes pretty important. More so than if you have a Ja'Marr Chase who gets the lion's share. I think his system has a good chance of success. I just wonder how much his doing is and how much is the players responsibility. Espceially Josh's. Thanks for your knowledge and input!
  3. I get the rules and the hot reads. Both are driven by the players on the field. I see your point about the iPad on the sidelines. I guess I wonder how much the OC can influence the nuances of plays during the drive with what he and his guys are seeing and how he could get the info the players.
  4. LOL. A quick check of Youtube.
  5. I often wondered about one aspect of play calling on pass plays. Let's say there are 3 WRs. The OC wants to switch the 1st, 2nd 3rd reads to the 3rd read becoming the 1st because of a trend he is seeing. Is that in the play call or does he tell the QB that in the headset. How do the WRs get that info?
  6. I think it was Matt Simms. @Steptide
  7. I'm doubting an all-out "bust". He needs to stay healthy and work with Josh all summer. His injury messed with his head last year IMO. Allen had plenty to share about Coleman from what he's noticed this offseason. "He looks very smooth right now. I feel like he's put on some muscle, he's moving quicker, not just physically but mentally with our offensive system. I just think he's attacked this offseason the way you would want a second-year receiver to attack." In addition to the on-field aspects of Coleman's game, Allen has built chemistry with him off the field, too. "I love the kid, he's got such a good head on his shoulders, he's a very positive person and he loves the game of football. That's what I love about him is he wants to be the best that he can be, and we're gonna continue to work hard and get to a good spot heading into the season. We're gonna continue to grow the more reps that we get."
  8. He's young and has had 3 different teams, coaches and QBs in the last 3 years. This season is his first with any stability. He knows what he has to do, and I will wait another year to see how he handles it. It might be his floor is higher than many think.
  9. LOL. I remember being at that game with my dad.
  10. I have. It's just wearing thin on me. LOL.
  11. AB signing with the Bills would have been a bad thing. There is no debating this.
  12. Things are pointing in the direction that your numbers seem more than reasonable. I would actually consider bumping up the TDs. If everyone stays relatively healthy, I think the WR/TE group can put up some decent reception numbers.
  13. Good point. Also, expecting a rookie to play a full NFL schedule PLUS playoffs is a lot to ask.
  14. Evaluating the Cincinnatti Bengals by themselves is a perfectly valid discussion. Not everything has to be "compared".
  15. If Cook holds out, he doesn't get paid.
  16. You're welcome.
  17. $12.5M was my "Beane top number". I think Beane sticks to it. Cook will test the market in March and end up taking that deal. His 2026 cap hit would be manageable and in 2027 Knox and Samuel come off the books. That's the year I see them starting to push Josh's money way out too. IMO FWIW.
  18. Tre was signed for some insurance before the draft. If he is willing to go to the PS after camp, I think his signing will be worth it.
  19. 90% of the "arguments" in this place are stupid.
  20. It's my favorite Kim picture.
