  1. It's why we are on message boards and not GMs!
  2. No. This was back I'm guessing around 1970. East side of Buffalo somewhere I can't remember. Just always remembered the name.
  3. I'm hoping it's a "wizard" deal. LOL. I have no idea. I knew that $7.1M was crazy but...................
  4. He runs with what's the term, "reckless abandonment." Maybe limiting his touches will keep him healthy? I guess we will see.
  5. I apologize for all of my shortcomings!
  6. Wow. There is the Bills 35% snaps RB.
  7. I agree players release and maybe a trade can happen before the draft. When it comes to Wagner, he just screams a 1-2 year contract at his age. What we don't know is how many other teams (if any) are now looking for a guy like him. Every week that goes by lowers his market price.
  8. I can see Beane looking around for a trade. I have to admit to myself that when it comes to bigger UFAs before the draft I give it next to 0%. When Beane was asked in his presser about a bigger bodied RB he did say that after the draft teams that pick up RBs will be looking to unload some. I have no real worry that he can find a guy to acquire before OTAs. This guy is going to get less than 35% of the snaps so I don't see him being that costly.
  9. I never hated Devin at all. He's a good player and teammate. It's just the way the RB world is in the NFL. When Cook got drafted I think his chances of another contract in Buffalo was highly diminished.
  10. 85 of James Cook's 91 rushes were on 1st and 2nd down. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CookJa01/splits/2022/
  11. ........and he wants to be our Latex salesman.
  12. "Wings and Things". First chicken wings I ever had.
  13. Well, I would be lying if I said I understand the Twitter world.
  14. James Cook is a 2nd round draft pick and the starter for the Buffalo Bills. He will take 65% of the snaps just like Devin did last year.
  15. One good thing is any LTBE money is used in the calculations but yes, we will have to wait for the exact details.
  16. There is now also a chance that a couple of other Bills FAs maybe get 7th round comp pick on top of this. Nothing to get too excited about, but worth mentioning.
  17. That's it Bills fans. It is going to mean if Beane signs a big dollar UFA before the draft it costs a 3rd round pick next year. I doubt strongly he gives that up. He's only going to sign vet minimum type guys to bring to camp to compete. We can take a break from FA and look to the draft. After the draft I see the RB signed.
  18. I don't think Beane even knows who will be there at #27 worth the position of the pick. That's my real worry. He will no doubt try to trade back but if he can't it could be a tough situation.
  19. I'll wait for the draft to see if one is taken NLT Day 2.
  20. What adds to the confusion is Miami only has 4 WRs who realistically are locks. The cost for a WR#5 for Sherfield is puzzling. The fish did have a 4th rounder last year, Erik Ezukanma, who had a total of 3 yards receiving and inactive for 16 games.
  21. I'll say you are sticking to your guns.
  22. You keep saying this and you don't listen to others giving the facts. I thought maybe you would want to check up on them. https://overthecap.com/the-basics-and-methodology-of-projecting-the-nfls-compensatory-draft-picks
  23. Unfortunately, it's a first 2 day pick and some other vet minimum players and that's it for this year. That's just the reality. I know you are all-in on WR talent and while of course that is wanted, the OL has to improve. More time for Josh and having Dawson Knox able to get more free releases off the line could be a big difference in the offense. They got to get Knox's yardage up to 800 yards this year. He had a 74% catch rate, so I don't want to hear from fans he can't catch a ball. Add an incremental improvement to some of the depth WRs and you would have to admit it's a plan.
  24. Jeudy is a good WR for the Broncos and has some BAD QBs throwing him the ball. He had a lot of drops his first season, probably why the fans have that in their heads. He does always seem to have a nagging injury and giving up a 1st (or 2nd with a player) seems too much in my book for a guy who will be a 5th year option wanting to get big money next season. If he was a #15 overall pick for the Bills, a lot of people on this board would be calling his 750 yard, 3 TD per year play a bust.
  25. I agree with your post. Adding a WR in the first 2 days and another OL should give enough for Josh. I could see a possible TE later either with a later round pick or after the draft in FA. The rest can be MLB and D if they want. Beane will sign a big bodied RB after the draft. There will be guys like that available. I don't make an excuse, but injuries were brutal for the team, and they have to protect against that this year like you said.
