  1. I just don't see Cook holding out during the season. He sure can't hold out the entire year. He only has 3 years accrued. Rookies on their 4th year don't hold out. It's guys on 5th year options and tagged players that do. I don't see a trade either. He will play this year and either sign what Beane is offering for next year or move on in free agency. Those are the agreed upon rules.
  2. According to Spotrac, 25%. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/position/_/year/2025
  3. The Falcons have pick #46. They only have 5 picks and 2 of them are 7th rounders. They just may be a good trade partner.
  4. Also, the importance of the expanded PS with its callups make some 6th and 7th rounders making their way there important too.
  5. He is under a rookie contract. It's suicide for a rookie to hold out the entire year. I don't see a trade either. He plays for the Bills and if Beane and Cook can't work out an extension by next spring he will be a FA.
  6. None. It's based on AAV. It's adding up the average salaries. Examples: Josh is $55M. Knox is the AAV of his contract $9.8M, not the cap hit which is $14.5M this year.
  7. Happy Birthday! Thank you for all you have done. Go Bills.
  8. He spent his entire rookie 4-year contract in Arizona. Went to the Jets and got injured. Now he is a FA. I don't think it's that bad.
  9. Pride goes before a fall.
  10. Well said! If anyone wants to keep an eye on this stuff Spotrac has all the data. Spotrac shows Bills are #7AAV. WR for Buffalo are #13AAV. This has data broke down to cash, cap and AAV. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/position/_/year/2025
  11. $10M over the cap is for all players. The Top 51 is at $662K. The Top 51 is all that matters right now.
  12. He has an injury history that is a bit concerning. Leki Fotu has a history of injuries, including a knee injury that landed him on injured reserve in late October 2024, a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the first five games of the regular season, and a broken hand that led to an IR placement in November 2023. Here's a more detailed breakdown of Fotu's injury history: 2024 Season: Hamstring Strain (Preseason): Missed the first five games of the regular season due to a hamstring injury. Knee Injury (Week 8): Placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on October 31, 2024. 2023 Season: Broken Hand (Week 12): Suffered a broken hand and was placed on injured reserve. 2022 Season: Shoulder Strain (Week 17): Missed one game with a shoulder strain. Shoulder Strain (Week 14): Missed one game with a shoulder strain
  13. They probably would want to check out his knee.
  14. I'll be expecting that draft night. 5th pick and the night will be over early. Get a good night sleep for Day 2.
  15. Bills don't have a 3rd and the Jags have 10 picks already including 2 3rds, 2 4ths and 2 6ths. Don't know if you have ever seen the Rich Hill Draft Trade Chart. You might want to take a look if you want to talk draft trades. https://www.drafttek.com/NFL-Trade-Value-Chart-Rich-Hill.asp?RequestTeam=jax
  16. LOL. I don't quite mean it that way.
  17. I agree with all you say. I would add, from my perspective the players could do some more to raise their stature too. There is some good talent on this team and a lot of players have shined for moments only to regress. Ed Oliver shows it at times but not nearly enough. McDermott has his family culture and that's great, but I think some of the coaches need to get these guys to bring a little more meanness to their game. A little more attitude. I'm thinking of Spencer Brown as an example. A little of Spencer Brown's attitude in Dalton Kincaid would do a lot for his game IMO.
  18. I would bet that Beane is hoping for Bosa to make a comeback, and he gets extended. Nobody likes dead cap money but if you want to play the game you have to pay. This year so far, the Bills have $29M in dead cap. It's right in the middle of the pack. I look at dead cap in 2 parts. One, it's the interest price of getting players today and paying tomorrow. The other is the cost of getting rid of players who have decreased in value. Typically, that is caused by injuries or old age. Tre White, Von Miller, Hyde and now Milano come to mind.
  19. They will start soon; I believe after June 1st. But for all the players like Bosa, technically they are on the team until the start of next year, then the money goes to dead cap. It's all part of the bookkeeping of the NFL.
  20. Half of that goes away if Bosa, McGovern and Ogunjobi are re-signed. The majority ($11M) of the remainder is Milano. You have to add up Milano and all the "red" players dead cap. It's accurate.
  21. Just to update my earlier post after the Ogunjobi and Shenault contracts, Beane has $662K in cap with Gilliam, Green, Johnson and Jackson left to subtract. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/_/year/2025/sort/cap_total_top51/dir/desc
  22. Yes, but I'm not sure when the "savings" show up. I'm assuming the savings come when he goes on suspension at the start of the year.
  23. Bills have 67 on roster so 23 more. Beane will probably draft at least 8 and add another 10 UDFAs minimum. Probably another 5 vets or so. There is always a big churn with the lower tiered players that cost nothing to switch out.
