  1. He may very well be gone before that. If he isn't, I agree, grab him. Remember, he play tackle as well as center.
  2. Vick + sack = Ron Mexico or it might be Vick, in the sack = herpes It's going to be fun stadiums when Michael is on the road.
  3. While hanging around an airport newstand today, I read an article indicating Dylan McFarland was seriously being considered as a starting tackle. I know there have been other posts regarding this possiblility. If even one of these longshots (DF, Bannon, etc.) pans out, we may not be as bad off as we appear to be. But I's rather have to pray less and see TD sign someone. Also, another publication projects Baas as no better than a second, and more likely a third round pick. I'd be surprised if he lasted past the mid-second round. Also, the guy is really attractive in that he played guard his first three years at Michigan. They do say, however, he has a problem keeping weight on.
  4. If Shelton is so valuable, why is no one else chasing after him? Denny Green knows something, and he's not talking. TD knows something, and he's not biting.
  5. Take the streetcar to the Garden District (get off at Washington or Jackson). Pick up a walking tour guide to the District. Your wife will love the architecture; also check out the architecture as you ride the car. An interesting walk from there is over to Market Street; all sorts of unique shops. From the Garden District, you're not far from one of the best restaurants in town, by far, Jacques Imo's. In the area where you are staying, check out Mother's Restaurant. It's cafeteria style, very popular, and has great, authentic Cajun cooking.
  6. Binghamton University '63 (than known as Harpur College) Fellow alumnus is Tony Kornheiser
  7. The coming style in court attire, no doubt.
  8. You put the current Rochester team in Sabres uniforms next year, against scabs, and it might be really interesting. Of course, no one knows how many NHL regulars will jump the picket line once the ice, and their feet, get cold.
  9. I'll be back in Buffalo, in a few weeks, for the first time in a while. Who has the best wings in town these days? My wife is especially desperate. Thanks.
  10. Until the NHL gets on-side, it's anyone's guess. The Sabres' best young players, and they have more good ones than most, are getting tremendous experience at Rochester this year. So that's a plus.
  11. I was thinking this show would be real gimicky and not believable. But they've done an excellent job making it believable and compelling, at least thus far. Jim, the blond cop, cannot, obviously, see the female detective. But she will certainly get your attention.
  12. Gardner is great, if you like crucial drops. The Redskins have good reason for wanting to get rid of him.
  13. The remark that really intrigues me relates to Bannon. This guy can really move, for his size, and could become a helacious blocker on sweeps. Yes, what he will do in the trenches is the big question. I trust McNally and think his two projects are really worth watching, and should be given the benefit of a lot of doubts.
  14. You are all too much. Do you really think TD has no clue? He already has Jennings replacement on the team. TD will go after a top notch center and move Teague back to his natural position. The big concern is that much more needs to be done to bolster the OL. Wish TD luck. I think he has a clue.
  15. Could Bannon have been sent to NFL Europe to learn an OL position? He certainly has potential, which won't be developed strictly by going to training camp.
  16. Drew Bledsoe. He's seems to be all everyone wants to continue to talk about.
  17. Don't be so sure TD's target won't be a center. Move Teague back to his natural position, either as a starter or back-up.
  18. Stewart has always been a novelty who cannot play. Sign Fiedler, who will be a solid back-up if he stays healthy, knows the division, is intelligent, and will not go around complaining if he is not playing (remember Dougie?).
  19. It's pro sports. Live with it. Trades that don't pan out are a dime a dozen. Hindsight is easy; trading to ones advantage isn't.
