  1. Well, you can go to the Metro Diner or Clark's Fish Camp to eat. I really advise you to go grab a bite to eat at Clark's. Budwieser has a plant there and they give tours. Oh and the Gentleman's club is across the street from the Bud plant.
  2. It falls in line of what the Bears paid Mike Glennon. Teams always overpay for a decent QB.
  3. Well I guess the job isn't open anyways according to the new GM Dorsey. According to this article, Hue is expected to retain his job. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21819024/new-cleveland-browns-gm-john-dorsey-expects-hue-jackson-coach-2018
  4. I'm retired military too! I retired this year, but I recently got a civil service job. Trust me, it gets boring sitting around the house, but you must find something to do to keep your mind occupied. Register for classes, volunteer for habitat for humanity, find a local organization and get involved. Do something that makes you happy.
  5. Wow! I read that Hue was safe after the Sashi firing. Oh my have things changed.
  6. I'll admit I don't follow the Bears, but I thought Wheaton was pretty good when he played with Big Ben. I also thought Inman was decent when he played with Rivers, but other than that, I can't say much about the talent around him. He does have two good receivers in Meredith and Kevin White hurt this year. Next year he should have a pretty good supporting cast to help him out.
  7. I saw him live when Carolina played Jacksonville in a preseason game back in August. I thought he looked better than Chad Henne during the game. I didn't know anything about the guy at the time, but he looked good against backups. If we let TJ Yates go then I don't have much confidence in this guy making the team.
  8. The refs job on a run play is to watch the QB until the play moves downfield. On passing plays, his/her job is to watch the QB from drop to release. So, it's unclear how they missed that one because it was a clear shot to the head.
  9. I recall him playing for the Titans for a little while, but I don't remember if he played a whole year. Where did you see that sign? I travel to Lucedale everytime I go home (closest Walmart) and have never saw that sign. You probably passed through my hometown of Beaumont too! If you blink you missed it.
  10. I didn't know this until about 10 years ago, but Eric Moulds use to come to my house when he was little. I really don't remember because I was little too. It was pretty cool when his mom and my my mom were talking about their kids and my mom told his that I was in the US Air Force. His mom replied that her son played in the NFL. Well, his mom won those bragging rights. Lol
  11. It was rumored that Hue really like Wentz, but they didn't draft him, which I assume had more to do with Hue not selling it to Sashi better. Cleveland is on the cusp of being a good football team. They just needs a few more pieces on Defense and a legit QB. They actually have a decent offense now. I'm actually picking them to upset the Ravens this week. Call me crazy, but I have them winning.
  12. I think the Packers hill is too tough to climb. Currently, they're one game behind the Seahawks and are tied with Cowboys and Lions. They have the Viking, the Panthers and the Lions to finish out the year. Honestly, the Lions look like they could make it in before the Packers.
  13. Seriously, did you watch any of the Brown's games last year? I get that it was the Browns, but he wasn't very good.
  14. My opinion is go after Case Keenum because he'd be much cheaper than Cousins and probably produce about the same. Then draft one of the remaining QBs with a second round pick.
  15. Cmon man, you know that a guy not on the Bills roster is better than what we have. Like I always tell my neighbor, the best QB in town is the one on the bench or not even on the roster until you have to play said QB and he craps the bed.
  16. Hey, I had a cousin that played wr on the Saints practice squad with that last name. He and Eric Moulds battled during his high school days in Mississippi.
  17. Man, I really don't like comments like this. I'm sure you're just kidding about the cost, but.....Ok, I'm off my soapbox now. Anyways, I like Cousins too, but I'm not sure he magically turns this team around. I imagine the record would be similar to what we are right now, but at an asking price where we all say we should have stuck with Peterman and see what he blossoms into.
  18. I'm not so sure it was Dennison's idea to start Peterman. I don't have the link, but shortly after the Chargers game Tyrod referred to Dennison as his friend. He said he even gave Dennison pointers during the Chargers game. He never spoke so highly of McD. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but it seems like his entire body language changes when the reporters ask questions about McDermott.
  19. Ok, I'll give you that one, but Matthews caught one placed about the same height as that pass and stayed upright. Again, I'll admit it wasn't a great pass. Anyways, I'm happy about the victory. Go Bills!
  20. Please watch the play again...sure it wasn't a great throw, but O'leary didn't have to go to his knees to make the catch. He indeed was bracing for a hit which didn't come. He could have very easily caught it with his hands. The ball was waist high.
  21. You know, I feel like the Bills take this one from KC 27-21. We had them last year until we didn't challenge the Jeremy Maclin long catch that resulted in a score. I was watching the game in Alaska with a fellow Bills fan and was screaming for a challenge. Anyways, I have a good feeling about this one.
