If it weren't for Allen's off the charts athleticism and arm talent his mediocre decision making would be much more apparent. Even then he has games like this where he doesn't seem to understand protecting the football and winning what should be an easy game. -

The funny thing is all the "we can't run the ball" talk. We run the ball just fine. We don't have a short yardage or goal line back so we use Allen but between the 20's we run the ball just fine. We just choose not to. -

Hopefully sitting in the locker room losing to the Falcons gives the whole team something to think about and they come out in the second half a little hungrier. It's the GD Falcons. Run the ball more and play defense. We're averaging a first down every two carries we don't need to throw it 50 times. -

Averaging over 5 yards a rush any reason we have to throw 90 percent of the time? -

We might have one of the best goal line backs in the league .................... Allen. -
I think we miss Lorenzo and Kyle both veterans who new how to get it done. One thing I will say for all our edge rushers is that if our interior rushers got better penetration our edge rushers would see more sacks. Kyle used to constantly be in the backfield or disrupting plays. Oliver and lately Phillips seem to be stepping up their games hopefully the whole line is coming around and we will see benefits. It's not uncommon for it to take several seasons for D lineman to develop.

You also have to take into account the difference between someone who has only had 23 passes thrown at them and someone who has 50 plus passes thrown their way. It is great, hopefully he can keep it up.

I like seeing the negative plays the defense was hanging on the Pats offense and I like seeing Singletary getting carries (enough to keep them honest) and being used in the passing game also. Like seeing McKenzie doing well with that said I will be happy when Davis is back to go with him and Diggs. -

I think like you said they made contact before 5 yards which is allowed and the cb was going to jam him and he was being physical with the cb but I'm never going to say a fist full of jersey shouldn't draw a penalty. -
If Moss was 30 pounds heavier. They keep drafting 205 pound running backs and calling them between the tackle runners. I certainly wouldn't argue with a 3rd and short goaline back to go with DS but someone who came in around 230 plus pounds would be a nice start. That's probably why our third down/goal line back is also our QB.

So we made mistakes and lost. Had we not made those mistakes we probably win ............. so we're on the same page I guess. -

Going to say what no one wants to hear. It was a good game and a win is a win but make the same mistakes (turnovers and penalties) against the Pats and we will most likely lose. At some point you need to bring your full A game when it's needed and throwing pics and bringing back multiple 10 plus yard runs because of penalties will not get it done. It's not can they beat the Pats, no doubt they can, but will they. -

Not sure I can follow that sentiment. I like Sanders and liked the signing but he's not a great blocker and he's best in the slot. -

If we ran this well every game it would only make the passing game that much better. -

It's not garbage time when you are trying to run out the clock against a team that is trying to stop the run. Garbage time is when you are down multiple scores and running is easy because they are trying to keep you from throwing. -

Again even bad runs serve a purpose and help set up the pass. I'm not saying we are going to be a great running team or that we shouldn't still lean on the passing game but I'm as convinced as I've ever been that the running game helps the pass even when it's not ripping off big chunks of yardage. -

Not a gripe with Breida but we need a "big" back. Someone who weighs in at 230 plus who can fall forward and move the pile. That was Moss's problem. They kept calling him the between the tackles guy when he weighed 205. -

Josh has 8 picks in the last 6 games. As good as he is if we want to get back to being as good as last year he needs to be better. -

No reason Carolina should have ever even sniffed the red zone. If we didn't give them the ball I doubt they are driving the field. Gotta stop beating ourselves. -

First four games Singletary averaged 70 ish yards on 12 carries. Would love to see that kind of balance.
