  1. Horton looks like the projected starter across from Smith-Njigba. Wish we would have taken that swing, Horton wasn't taken until the 5th round. Said it before the draft we'll see if he sticks around in NE, but Larison reminds me of Ekeler.
  2. I bought a Ryobi because it runs on 18v batteries that are the same as my power tools and I have 5 or 6 batteries around the house. I also live in a small city and only have 1/3 of an acre for my yard. The plus side is that the mower is very light. You can literally throw the thing around. Like others have said, I do tend to go through 2 or 3 batteries but I have a bunch of them and mow my lawn probably every two weeks. If my lawn was much bigger I don't think I'd still use this mower. I know they make bigger ones and even riding electric mowers. If I was going to invest that much I might just buy one of those GPS mower things on tracks that will mow your lawn in the summer and snow blow your driveway in the winter.
  3. I felt like we saw a lot of Bishop last year and that's even with him not showing a great ability to lock down coverage. Elam got a lot of chances. Hairston will see the field once he's healthy. I'd bet on it. Who was the only WR to catch a TD from someone other than Allen in the last 4 years (for what it's worth)?
  4. Would love to see Samuel earn a little bit of the contract we're paying him. His cap hit and dead money he's isn't going anywhere (this year), but if he doesn't show something we have a 2026 out. I'm not rooting against him though. Wish he'd break out and have some good production instead of filling the injury list with his name week after week.
  5. I'm not saying it can't happen but for those thinking they're going to see Keon take over the slot for a few weeks I wouldn't hold my breath. I get it that St. Brown has everyone looking for a big slot but I highly doubt our coaching staff sees Keon doing what St. Brown is doing. AJ Brown maybe but not St Brown.
  6. So they have a "legit" reason to shut down their best WR through some meaningless games. Sounds perfect to me. As long as he's ready for the regular season. More reps for whoever is expected to play behind Shakir. Hopefully Moore can step in and show something.
  7. Our LB's are always hurt so I could see Thompson sticking just as insurance. Not that he doesn't get nicked up also but it's another body. Our CB's are always nicked up and Ingram has years of experience (with some success) and plays special teams so I expect to see him on the roster. I also can't see Walker not being on the 53. Either Walker or Carter may end up mysteriously on injured reserve with the ability to return when the other DL players come back from suspension while they decide who we need in uniform on Sundays. No offense to Carter but I bet he's not on the roster either by the end of the year or certainly by next season.
  8. Not my cup of tea but he played well in Indy with a one cut and go style and a decent line.
  9. There is a large contingent of posters who would just draft a WR first every year no matter what. Every single year they start thread after thread railing on about how we need to trade half our picks away and draft so and so WR. I've seen a lot of amazing WR's have amazing years and almost none of them had anything to do with a SB win. There's also no rule saying you have to draft equal amounts of offense and defense. Beane feels like the defense is keeping us from winning it all he could draft all defense every year. He wants to draft a WR with our first 3 picks he can do that also ............... and someone would still rant about how we need to draft a WR in the next draft. Are there times we should draft a WR, no doubt, but there are two things of absolute certainty. A broken clock will be right twice a day and there will be post upon post about who our next WR should be and how much we should trade away to get them.
  10. No offense to Oliver but it looks like a RB and two Olineman standing there.
  11. Couple of options I like but I'll go with LB. Bernard has an out at 3 years with little dead cap and a decent size cap hit. If he can't stay healthy they'll need a LB. Dorian is up after 2026 and Milano leaves a ton of dead cap. If we draft a LB with the first pick we get (fingers crossed) a day one starter and plus athlete on a rookie contract. I could easily see WR or Safety here also depending on how the players we have do this year and what athletes are available when we draft in the first next year.
  12. Who should I see if my horse lost a shoe?
  13. Haven't seen any news and I'm curious, has their been a Prather sighting?
  14. I have nothing bad to say about Roman. The guy made offenses with Kaepernick, Taylor, and Lamar all top offenses. He's been successful everywhere he's been.
  15. Bosa is a healthy season away from still being a superstar. While it may be unlikely it's not impossible to think that if Bosa stays healthy he could be a force on defense. He looked really good in last years playoffs. So many pessimists, and maybe they're right, but I'm going hope he's still got at least one more good season in him.
  16. Coaching makes such a difference. If Gailey had Schwartz as his DC or if Pettine had been the DC while Rex was here with Greg Roman. There were a number of years between 2010 and the arrival of McDermott where we were a decent defense away from making the playoffs. You either need a mistake eraser at QB or defense and we had neither many years. Bledsoe was a Willie Parker away from making the playoffs if I remember right. Unfortunately Fast Willie pooped all over our playoff hopes.
  17. Right or wrong I feel like I should pick one side of the fence or the other on Bosa. Will he be effective and productive or not? I'm going to pick the unpopular notion that he's going to stay healthy and have a good year for us. Everyone else (minus the rookies) will be what we've already seen that they are. I'm thinking Bosa, Rousseau, and AJ will get a lot of playing time. I'm hoping that with the snaps they get that Jackson and Solomon getting some sacks will leave us feeling like they have bright futures rushing QB's giving us options with keeping (or not) Bosa and AJ in the future. Bosa 14 sacks Rousseau 8 sacks AJ 6 sacks Jackson 4 sacks Solomon 4 sacks
  18. I see Coleman's ceiling as a better Gabe Davis. That said Davis was good for 40 to 50 catches. I feel like Kincaid has a much higher ceiling than what we've even seen but I'd be lying if I said I have confidence in him hitting it. Like you I'd guess that if they both had good seasons they'd be right there but I'm (reluctantly) pessimistic they'll do it. I'll bet they both have up and down games and look like they could do it some weeks but over the course of the season I think we continue to run the ball and let everyone eat and they come up short. Coleman 44 receptions Kincaid 63 receptions
  19. Suggested this before. Started started playing it in 23 when we had to basically win out to get into the playoffs.
  20. I haven't researched it but I've been told the Eagles played a lot of coverage we play, they just did it better. I'm really hoping as much for our additions in the secondary as I am for additions on the line.
  21. Your also leaving out over 300 yards of rushing so almost 700 yards of offense total but I'll give you that shootout might be a little bit of a stretch. When two teams score over 50 points and should of had more it certainly wasn't a defensive battle.
  22. Wait what? I must have missed some context on this one. So we wouldn't have won a shootout with the team that we beat in a shootout? I agree but for the sake of slowing down a pass rush running more the 3 times in a half will help your QB more than hurt. Part of our problem pass rushing is that we play so light in the box that our Dline comes off the line looking for the run and never gets to the QB. When we run on teams it makes Allen's job easier.
  23. I think running the ball is a key contributor to Allen turning the ball over less and not running the ball certainly didn't do Mahommes any favors vs the Eagles. I'm not looking it up but I think they only gave the RB's 3 carries the whole first half so the Eagles just came after Mahommes and he made mistakes.
  24. The Broncos were number 1 in EPA and we hung 30 on them and Cook ran all over them. Remove the one awful Bengals game and the offense is averaging 26 points in our playoff losses and we're losing by less than a TD even though the defense is giving up over 30 in those games. It's your opinion and your entitled to it but I'll stand by my opinion that the offense is capable of keeping us in any game. Maybe I'm getting bad info but I thought the Ravens were 8th overall and 2 spots better than the Eagles vs the run.
  25. Eagles run defense wasn't better than the Chiefs. Eagles, Chiefs, and Ravens all would have given us similar problems. Enough defense to make it hard to break it open and a run game that would keep our pass rush in check leaving our secondary that couldn't cover. We had enough offense and just enough defense to beat Lamar. We had almost enough offense and not enough defense in a winnable game vs the Mahommes. If I had to guess we would have been in another close game where we would need to pull something out to win if we had ended up playing the Eagles. I certainly think the offense is ready to win a championship. The defense has to find some playoff swagger somewhere. Even the years with pretty decent talent when the game is on the line we don't make the stops we need in the playoffs. They certainly are trying to infuse the defense with difference makers so I can't say they're not trying.
