  1. This is 100% true. I also hope to learn more about the men in black, and what, if anything, should be their official roles in NFL playoff games.
  2. It wasnt a "prevent " D. Was a conventional cover 4 zone. The LBs (at least 49) just dropped too deep. A bad, bad mistake. I hope they learn from it.
  3. this is 100% wrong. The refs never catch the ball. They're old men. They usually drop it.
  4. I like McD, and think hes the coach for Bflo. Blue collar, tough, hardworking. Having said that, he made several key mistakes yesterday. I have no idea who made the conservative O and D play calls, so I wont go there. But with respect to general CEO calls, the punt on 4th and 4 from the 38 yd line was a mistake. Gained them 18 yds. Not punting on 4th and 27 was also a mistake. I think McD panicked there, thinking that they couldnt get the ball back. And not vigorously protesting the reversed KO TD was a huge mistake.
  5. Yikes! Glad you're not on my team! Say the Texans muff a punt. Should the Bills hand him the ball and say, I know you didnt mean to drop this?
  6. As i said in the other thread. 100% chance that every NFL ST coach is showing this to his team, telling his returner to ALWAYS TAKE A EFFIN KNEE!!! Texans lucked out and avoided the TD, or safety. At the time, I said McD should've blown up, that Bellichek would have done so. Mistake by McD in my book.
  7. Sorry, you’re wrong. throwing a challenge flag in the final two minutes is. throwing a challenge flag and being told you can’t challenge the play happens all the time. And the final call in the field, after the men in black intervention, was touchback. There would have been no penalty for throwing a challenge flag.
  8. yeah, but he can certainly throw a challenge flag, get the refs attention, be told he can’t challenge it. because as a scoring play it was reviewed. then you’d have a stop in play, and a few minutes to think things through. instead of having the 4 men in black on the sidelines telling the official what to call.
  9. Actually, according to the rule book, the call on Ford was wrong. Look at Mike Periera twitter for an explanation
  10. So, clearly, the official who signaled TD on the play was applying the rules to the letter. Can we all agree on that? then, he wusses out a let himself be overruled. To compund the problem, McD didn't challenge the ruling. This is critical. You can bet that over coaches-Bellicheck for instance- who know the rules back and forwards would have run on the field, complained long and loudly. by the way, I thought I saw a flag on the field after this play, and thought maybe OBrien was going to get an unsportsmanlike or something. Did they just pick this up?
  11. Lets look at the play from this viewpoint. Its my opinion that every ST coordinator in the NFL is telling his KO returners to MAKE THE F SURE you either take a knee or signal fair catch. Anyone disagree? Any why would they be doing that, if its OK to just act like youre giving yourself up? Because everyone knows Houston dodged a bullet here, without penalty. Nope. Not even once. Show me a play, or report where a TD was signaled and reversed after a guy tossed the live ball to an official.
  12. I sort of remember Doug Flutie made a similar play a few years back and was complimented on his "creativity". Cause the RB caught the ball and made a huge gain.
  13. How are the Bills to know this isn't a trick play? Where a dude on the rec ieving team is going to pick up the ball and run for a TD? Sort of like this pla y we all know? lookit, clearly the Houston KR made a mistake. So did josh Allen when he didn't tuck the ball as he was going down. By rule, it was a cheap TD for the Bills. I,m really disappointed that McD let that go. You can be sure that Bellicheck,k who knows the rules backwards and forwards, wouldn't have let that go.
  14. Read the rule carefully. Offensive player can't INITIATE contact. Did Ford initiate contact or did 54 initiate contact. Looks really close, huh? it was a BS call. Common sense didn't prevail. On on a related topic, Bellicheck know the rules backwards and forwards. He would have called TO, jumped and screamed to make sure Bills were awarded that TD on the kickoff. He didn't signal fair catch or take a knee, like every other KO reciev r does.
  15. Let me get this straight. You can't block a D that's chasing your QB?
  16. Ball was spotted wrong on the intentional grounding. Buffalo should have been 5 yds closer and had a shot at a 54 ydFG
  17. Ah, I love this dude. Alligator arms Irvin dropped several key passes over the middle in Miamis championships loss to psu.
  18. Sorry dude, youre badly misinformed. Watch any college or NFL game. Most OL are wearing very sturdy knee braces. Its a good idea. You want to see MORE knee injuries?? the stretchy fabric knee braces are for girls gymnastics.
  19. Google UA2532. Its most recent flights are to Houston, Providence, Pitts, Dallas, in reverse order. See a pattern here? Looks like its the Bills team charter.
  20. Hi all-- I'm a long time Bills fan. I was at the Rockpile the game that Joe Namath threw 8 TD passes. But three were pick sixes, and Bills won 37-35. My son and I are going to our first game since 1999. Any advice on parking? He wants to park at the Hammer Lot for the complete Bills experience. When do we need to get there? Given that Bills are probably resting a bunch of starters, I dont think it will be a sell out. Would love to hear any and all opinions. Go Bills!
  21. Anyone have Bellicheks number? if anyone had video of bills sideline he would.
