Ed Oliver doesn't look very good

This guy Burke is a true idiot. His entire article is based upon a false premise--if Bills go 4-12. Thats like me writing an article stating if Brian Burke gets seen receiving oral sex from a tranny hooker in a bathroom on Chipewa Street then he has a 98% likelihood of being fired. Whereas if the same scenario were applied to Jerry Sullivan he'd only have a 94% chance of being fired. Probably because he doesnt have a real job.

Receiver competition with two games left
pennstate10 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think it's a crazy idea to keep 7 WR. This would include both Williams and McKenzie. Williams, I think, may be the only WR on the roster with the ball skills to high point contested catches. What other spot spot would you "short "? i think either TE or LB. because Bills base offense is 11 personnel, and their base defense is a 4-2-5. I'm using base here to signify most common alignment. -
[Vague Title] Trade alert...
pennstate10 replied to Bills4life1924's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ive followed Psu pretty closely and seen all of their games the past few years. Bates played out of position the past 2 years at tackle. He was much better at guard. He's never played center. One of of the biggest weaknesses of psu OL was inability to pick up stunts and pass off the DL. This was through the OL, but maybe most noticeable on Bates side. I don't know if this was player awareness, coaching, or something else but it was a problem. I dont see Bates being anything other than stopgap OT in the NFL. Look at his arm length and wingspan. I do think he can play guard in the NFL, and maybe center. -
Funny story about Urschel. While at Psu, players would miss spring practice days for various reasons. If they weren’t at practice their names would be on a board with different colors too signify the reason for missing practice. For instance, black meant personal reason, red meant injured, green meant player had a class or test, etc. one day Urschel was late for practice and his name was in purple. Bill OBrien (head coach at the time) asks one of the staff “where the hell is urachel and why is his name in purple”. Staff says “purple means he’s teaching a class.” True story.

RD 3, Pick 74: RB Devin Singletary, Florida Atlantic

Yeah but he’s had 700 carries the past 3 years so he’s like 29 in RB years. -
1). Not sure that I believe the narrative about tanking. Kelly played his heart out and team nearly won at the end. In fact, that was the first game I began to think the the Bills were getting better. 2). Bullough was a true moron. He once said on TV "Well, that's just spilled milk over the dam". And during a draft discussion (in reference to Napolean MacCallum), " well, we're looking at that Bonaparte guy from Navy".

Anyone remember when Marv Levy came up with a Bills fight song and sang it on TV? "Go Bills, for we are here to cheer for you Go Bills, da da daa da da da With victroy in sight, We'll fight with all our might So go Bills fight Bills win!" It popped in my mind this morning and I cant get rid of it Catchy little tune.

I've lived in MD for the past 20 years. Best wings I've had here were from Shuckin Shack, a hole in the wall on Market Street in DT Frederick. As good as the ones we used to get at Lebros in Getzville.

Non-call affected Super Bowl too
pennstate10 replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Officials for the most part were OK. But 3 pretty bad calls. No surprise, all were key calls, and all went against the Rams. 1)Roughing on NRC. Guy made a tackle and his helmet bumped up against the RB. Bogus call. 2). Holding on Rams center leading to 30 yd loss. Guy wasn't holding at all. The Pats DT turned and fell. 3). Hands to the face on Rams DL. Yeah, his hands were in the guy's face. The guy who had clamped onto his jersey and wouldn't let go. Should have been holding. -
NRC on the “non-call” (Update: FINED!)
pennstate10 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, thats your opinion. But not mine. Even in real time, it wasnt ROUGHING the passer. In real time, the rushers hand might have grazed Bradys helmet. But certainly wasnt a "shot" to the head. Was a complete and total BS call. -
1993 Houston Wildcard Comeback- Where were you guys

I was at a sports bar on Sheridan drive. Forget the name of the place. Left at halftime and went home. Listned to beginning of second half on radio and tied some flies. Turned it off after pick six and went out to the garage wife called me in after Bills second TD and we huddled around the radio listening to the rest. I vaguely remember that somehow the blackout got lifted and were able to watch the OT on TV. -

Until we sort this officiating we are going nowhere
pennstate10 replied to Jasovon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are basically two types of missed calls. 1) an obvious foul that the officials don't call 2) a non-foul that the officials do call i can accept missed calls much more easily than phantom calls. the personal foul on 97 was a horrible call. Guy was just celebrating after his TFL. Watch the Dolphins first TD. The WR drops the ball right at DB feet. Why wasn't that taunting? And the PI on Milano was bogus as well. Bills FO needs to hassle the NFL officiating and say this is unacceptable. Show all of the specific bogus calls and non-calls. And McD and Beane need to subtly suggest that NFL officiating is horrendous in all of their interviews. It's not whining, it's making it clear to nfl that their is a problem. -

If Jags can lose 7 straight no reason we can't win 7 straight. -

PFF Has Hughes Highest Rated
pennstate10 replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know the best DL keep their jerseys really, really tight, so OL cant hold them. But is it legal to put vaseline on the jerseys? It should be. Ref: Hey you have vaseline on your jersey. Why? Hughes: I aint planning on throwing no spitballs. Just trying to keep those fat boys from grabbing on to me. Ref: Unsportsmanlike, # 55. -
I'm betting he'd stone All-NHL right wing Jalen Ramsey....

I remember that year well. Was my first year as a Bills fan. Went to the Rockpile for my first pro game. Saw Namath throw 8 TD passes in the game. But 3 of them were to the Bills, who won 37-35! Remember that Raiders game on TV. Was heartbroken when Rutkowski fumbled on the 5-10 yd line, Bills trailing the mighty Raiders only 13-10. Remember the ball laying on the field for an eternity before covered by the Raiders. Still think it was OOB and a bad call. Fast forward 15 years. I was a resident at CHOB, sitting in the residents office (really more of a closet) on Hodge St. My fellow residents were talking Bills football. And how bad they were (this is 1984). One of the other residents pipes up. "Not as bad as in 1968. They couldnt protect their QBs at all". Guys name was Bob Darragh (now a pediatric cardiologist). His bother's name was Dan.
