The weirdest part to me about the drought years, is that we made hires at the time that seemed like good ones. Tom Donahoe and Doug Whaley worked for the Steelers before coming over to Bills. Donahoe was there throughout the 90s as "Director of Football Operations" and was part of building very successful teams. Including going to the Super Bowl in 1995 and multiple championship game appearances. After he was let go by us, he became a Senior Advisor and then won a Super Bowl as the Senior Director of Player Personnel" with the Eagles in 2017. He made some good signings and draft picks with the Bills but somehow just couldn't figure it out as far as actually having a good team. Whaley was also part if the Steelers organization throughout the 2000's when they made and won 2 Super Bowls. Yet, comes here and is a huge failure. Buddy Nix was actually a scout for us back in the 90s working under Butler and AJ Smith when we still built solid teams throughout the 90s. He followed Butler and Smith over to San Diego. He was the director of Player Personnel and then became assistant GM after Butler died. Him and Smith built solid teams there the entire decade. He comes back to Buffalo and can't figure it out. It's mind blowing how ridiculous and baffling it all was Thank God for Beane and McDermott who had a sure plan and built it their way and have made it work

He was only GM one year. And he was here right up until McDermott's first year. He was president I believe when Buddy Nix was here so they weren't separate times

This is why I tell anyone who screams for Beane and McDermott to be fired, we could easily be right back in the mess that preceeded them. I get they haven't won a Super Bowl. I understand where their critics are coming from but I would much rather have the competence we have had for nearly the last decade even if we never win one than go back to the nearly 2 decades before it.

He has been talking since last season that he wants no part of paying a RB over $10 million a year and was more than willing to let Cook walk -

Someone go check on Bulldog -
That would suck to hit a kick like that and have it actually not count. I would have waited until the regular season so, that it would have counted in the record books

I see no way McDermott gets fired after this season. I do think, however, that he could be put on the hotseat next season by either missing the playoffs or wild card playoff loss this season. Otherwise, if we keep doing what we are doing and at least getting to the divisional or championship round every year, I honestly think the job will be McDermotts as long as he wants it. Keep in mind the Bills and Allen aren't the only one struggling to win a title. The Ravens have yet to get to a Super Bowl with Lamar and Burrow had yet to win one also, although he has been there. If Lamar had one and Burrow had one, my viewpoint might be different

Yeah, it just seemed lighter to me than most episodes of Hard Knocks that I have seen. But it's only the first one. It's still cool seeing us being part of it, though

Kind of a weak first episode. But it's only one. I expect it to get better once they get further into it

Reporter to James Cook: James... why are you not practicing today? Cook: Business Reporter: why did you just decide to do it? Cook: Mind your (points at reporter) Reporter: Business? Cook: Exactly Reporter: what did your friend say about this? Cook: He opened a (points at reporter) Reporter: I know, I know business. But James, don't you feel you owe it to your teammates to be out there? What if they say something to you? Cook: I'll give them the (points at reporter) Reporter: (sighs) Business....but James....do you know anything about Radio Shack? Cook: Yeah, it ran out of (points to reporter) Reporter: Thank you, James

What killers? Who did they kill? Why did they kill them? I need details

It will just end up being another Myles Garrett situation anyway

Why the Commanders wouldn't be all over this would be a mystery

Bills have a playoff problem..It’s not Josh Allen (Warren Sharp)
Buffalo03 replied to BillytheKid's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's definitely possible. Or we have our score called back by a penalty lol -

If we scored late in that Chiefs game last year, I'm almost certain it was getting called back on a penalty anyway. I have seen so many different videos of how it didn't seem the refs were gonna let the Chiefs lose that game -
Grape accusations?

Maybe someone can explain to me like I'm dumb. But what is the point to 7 on 7?

Josh already got his MVP. We know how this works for us. Now, we're gonna lose in the wild card round -
LBs wearing 24? Geez

I honestly don't know who would keep them anymore after they lost Sunday Ticket. That was literally the only reason why me and many people I know even kept them as long as we did in the first place

It's Sauce Gardner's turn. Extended through 2030, $120 Million.
Buffalo03 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesn't he only have 1 career INT since he has been in the league? I remember people saying that Austin Johnson, our backup DT who had 2 last year now had more than Sauce in his whole career
