You can't compare life situations to sports. They are 2 totally different things. And also I still think you're wrong when you say we aren't close. You're wrong. We are very close. Let me ask you something. We were win away from a Super Bowl. We scored 30 or more points 13 times and over 40 points 5 times. All we to do had was win this game and it's 50/50 that we win a Super Bowl. Now let me ask you, if we had won the Super Bowl this year with this same roster, would you be making the same argument? Because that is literally how close we were. The other thing to think about here is, football playoffs are only one game. If football was best of 7 like other sports, how many times do you think we could beat the Chiefs? 3? Maybe on another really good day 4? It's all about being better on that day. We were the better team in the regular season game. We didn't play like it in the playoffs. The fact that we can beat them in the regular season tells me in a best of 7, we could get them 3 or maybe 4 times. That's not way off. We also didn't have Benford after early in the game and no Rapp. Every single one of their players was healthy. There's a lot of factors that go into a one game single elimination game. It's not as simple as it sounds

They aren't winning a championship period. But that's just because that's how it goes being a Bills fan. We had a head coach that had 4 straight shots with a HOF QB and still couldn't win a Super Bowl. We had a bunch of other regimes that couldn't win anything. We have McDermott who has gone to the playoffs in 7 out of 8 seasons with another HOF talent QB in Allen. What makes you think the next regime would be different? Hasn't our history alone been enough to make you realize it doesn't matter what we do?

They only lost to Cincy once in the playoffs. KC has ended our season 4 times in the last 5 years. But outside of Burrow one time, no one else is getting past them either. That should tell you right there that it's not just us or as much of a talent thing. Mahomes and the Chiefs literally beat everyone. He is 18-3 in the playoffs with 2 of the losses coming to Brady. We make the playoffs every year. We have gotten to the Championship game twice. You don't do that if you're not good enough. We are a top 4 team every season going into the playoffs

What makes you think Allen isn't all that great at reading defenses or presnap reads? He explains what he saw and the types of defensive looks he get in press conferences all the time

We can't get over the hump because of the Chiefs. Plain and simple. But look at it this way, who else is getting past them besides Burrow one time? If the Chiefs were any other playoff team or had any other QB, then we would have been to at least 2 Super Bowls by now

I don't think there is that much of a talent gap. How many really good teams beat 3 or 4 really good teams in a row without dropping 1 or 2 besides the Chiefs? It doesn't really happen. We just made the AFC Championship game. We lost by 3 points and if not for stupid play calls we probably win that game. Think about it, we definitely could be in the Super Bowl right now and may have won it. And the only thing that stood in the way of that was one game but had we won it, we wouldn't be having this conversation. We are in good hands with Beane. You don't come one game away from the Super Bowl with an extremely far off talent gap

I still don't really get the hate for Beane. We were literally just one game away from the Super Bowl. I swear we could actually win the Lombardi and fans would complain that he got his fingerprints on it and should have worn gloves. We will be fine with him as GM

Levy lost 4 straight Super Bowls. Every coach we have had until McDermott. Did nothing. McDermott himself has now made the playoffs in 7 out of 8 years on the job and still nothing. But you magically think that a bunch of different regimes, 2 of which have HOF QBs in Kelly and now Allen, are gonna all of a sudden take us to the promise land? How many more regimes do you need to see before you realize it will never happen?

No, you missed the point of my post. The regime AND GM doesn't matter. We had Polian and John Butler in the 90s. One is a borderline HOFer or may be a HOFer and the other was a good GM. What came of it? Nothing. More GMs through the drought...nothing. Beane comes, the best GM since the 90s by far and maybe even better and nothing. It doesn't matter who we get to coach or GM. Nothing is going to change

At what point will you realize regime doesn't matter? We had Levy who went to 4 straight and didn't win. Multiple other ones between him and McDermott. And then McDermott makes the playoffs 7 our of 8 years and 2 championship games and still doesn't get there.
