  1. Yes, one more year into the rebuild and still 54 million in dead cap money. Likely still 1-3 record and everyone on this board still pissed. The rebuild doesn't come into view until next year.
  2. This is the NFL. I can barely tell you what is going to happen next week much less 10 years from now. I will reserve my judgement on the Allen - Mahomes debate for a time much farther in the future .
  3. What a difference a week makes. Last week at this time the vast majority a posters were sky high and there was a lot of discussion about how the Bills could go to Lambeau and win. I think it's best to put down the magnifying glass when trying to assess what's going on at OBD and look big picture. 2018 - 54 million in dead cap money 2019 - 2 million in dead cap money The ability to spend roughly 190 million next year compared to 123 million this year is everything I need to know to give Beane more time.
  4. Are you kidding with the SF Giants? Are you really devastated that they haven't won a world series in 4 years and only won three in the last 9? Don't try to draw an equivalency between the Giants "struggles" and the Bills.
  5. I don't think that firing Daboll is going to fix all the offensive problems but he sure isn't doing Allen any favors by constantly calling slow developing 5 and 7 step drop pass plays. He leaves Allen waiting for receivers to get open and as we all have seen these guys are having difficulty creating separation. Have any of you seen the play calling Matt Nagy is doing in Chicago? That's what an innovative modern offense looks like in the NFL.
  6. Why do we have to think about stuff like this? Can't we just enjoy what Allen did last week?
  7. The white version of Blake Bortles? Oh, wait Blake Bortles is the white version of Blake Bortles.
  8. You must be one of those fans that consider the modern era to be post Super Bowl run. Bills 41 Oilers 38 F-OT Period ... Exclamation point.
  9. I would say that Benjamin had a great rookie year then missed his 2nd year completely. After that he has been on a downward spiral.
  10. Referring to Kelvin Benjamin as a weapon is a very generous assessment of his time in Buffalo and frankly the vast majority of his career.
  11. Hopefully Browns fans don't look back at the end of the year and wish they had a do-over for the first 2 games of the season.
  12. The Browns need 8 more wins to have a legit shot at making the playoffs. That schedule looks pretty rough. I'm not sure I would feel confident with them getting to 9-6-1 considering they've won 9 or more games twice since 1995.
  13. What was even worse was Hue saying in week 1 of camp that Tyrod was the starter. Why would you not wait to see what you had in both QBs through at least a couple preseason games before making that decision? Nobody was forcing him to make that announcement.
  14. And just like 80% of the other threads; people know nothing about the subject but that doesn't stop them from posting a reply.
  15. I was only kidding. I agree that both are going to be good players but they lack experience.
  16. So wait … a 20 year old linebacker starting his 2nd game and a 22 year old QB starting his 1st game didn't grade out well? They suck.
  17. The other choice in this situation is to simply fill in players at positions of need year after year without unloading bloated contracts until the end of time. This is a great way to go somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7 every year like the Bills did for the most part between 2000 and 2016.
  18. Couldn't agree with this more. McCoy has had a great career but the Bills have entirely too much money tied up in this position. By my rough count McCoy has four 100 yard rushing performances in his last 20 regular season and playoff games. This O-line hasn't helped him at all but you definitely need more production if you're gonna lay out that kind of money.
  19. I agree. What we witnessed the first 2 games of the season was two teams with roughly 5 mil in dead cap money beating the daylights out of a team with 54 mil in dead cap money. Many of us thought the Bills were going to be bad this year and now that they are proving us all right we're somehow mad about it?
  20. You should go to TripAdvisor and leave them a bad review.
  21. I was reading your post with interest until you lost me with this one.
  22. What I'm sure of is the Pegula's didn't sign off on continued mediocrity. The Bills showed during the playoff drought that if you just keep plugging holes every year without having a long term plan in place it's pretty easy to finish around .500 in this league (9-7 two times 8-8 three times 7-9 four times during the drought). I don't think that we can draw too many conclusions from what the McBeane legacy will be remembered for at least until next year when they are not eating 54 mil. in dead cap money.
  23. I would argue that neither one of you went out on top.
