  1. The same thing you saw against Tampa. How did they follow that up? I think they finish 10-7 and need help to make it. They have been too inconsistent all season to think they are about to go on a run.
  2. He's a good coach for fixing the culture but he's shown he's not one to get a team to a Super Bowl win. I'm not a believer in the mindset of "if injuries, luck and plays go our way we can win a Superbowl"
  3. What if that Super Bowl win never comes? For every one that says if the Bills change regimes that it may fail, it can equally be successful. I honestly believe the drought years has hurt the mindset of many fans. Many seem scared that if a change happens, that a return to the drought years is automatic.
  4. I have my doubts he will upgrade the WR room much. At least not in a significant way. It's all due to focusing on culture and fit over talent. They seem very against talent if it comes with a diva attitude
  5. Sure there is a possibility that going all in doesn't work, you don't win a Super Bowl and are back to being irrelevant for multiple seasons. I am also of the opinion that Beane and McDermott has gotten this team as far as they can take them. A lot of that has to do how they built this team. They focus on culture over talent isn't working. It wins in the regular season but you need elite playnakers on both sides of the ball to win a Super Bowl. Another one is drafting for team fit versus taking the best player available.
  6. Bolded is where IMO where the difference in opinion on McDermott stems from. For me, I want to see a Super Bowl championship. If that means mortgaging some of the future and using multiple void years like the Eagles are so be it. If that also comes with going back to the drought years that's fine. We won a Super Bowl. The difference is those that don't want change is they like knowing they are a playoff team every season. They want to win a Super Bowl but they don't want to mortgage the future for it. They believe that one of these years everything will go their way and they will win.
  7. I disagree with the weak schedule nonsense. Outside of 3 games, they have the same schedule as the Bills.
  8. A championship team is none of the AFC teams. From watching games around the league, whatever AFC team makes it to the Super Bowl, it's going to be a similar result to last season. The NFC team blowing out the AFC team. I'm sorry an AFC championship isn't good enough.
  9. This team hasn't been able to string multiple good weeks in a row since the 4-0 start. They are too inconsistent to win 4 games in a row to a Super Bowl.
  10. Last season they benefited from a high turnover differential. Teams have lots of film on the Bills offense now. Since the WR don't get a lot of separation that many stack to box and dare Buffalo to beat them with the passing game.
  11. I agree he's not incompetent. IMO Beane and McDermott focus too much on culture and fit over talent. The biggest reason why the Bills struggle in the playoffs is lack of elite playnakers on both sides of the ball.
  12. I disagree. IMO KC and the Bills aren't underperforming this season. This is what they are. KC won a lot of 1 score games that helped them overachieve last season. The Bills relied on a high turnover differential to win a lot of games. Both teams have regressed to the average.
  13. As @Kirby Jackson posted in another thread. You don’t win because of the gap between Dawson Knox and Quentin Morris. You win because of the gap between George Pickens and Elijah Moore (or even Josh Palmer). Maybe that’s a good way of putting it. The Bills would rather have Knox and Palmer than Pickens and Morris. If you give them 4 players they’ll take the 2nd and 3rd best over the 1st and 4th. I just don’t think that’s a championship plan. That’s how Carolina was built too. They were both fortunate to get MVP QBs. You never trade a dollar for 4 quarters. Beane would trade 10 dollars for 40 quarters if offered. A fuller roster of B to D level talent isn't winning you a Super Bowl.
  14. Cause it is dumb. The guy hasn't hit 1000 yards since 2021. He's not going to make them any better. This regime refuses to target actual elite talent.
  15. It definitely does. It feels like Beane and McDermott value culture over talent.
  16. Record wise sure it's similar. This offense and defense is much worse talent wise and scheme wise. They are not the same at all. As the previous poster said, many don't want to accept that this team may not be that good. They are likely a year or two from getting back to being a top team again.
  17. All teams struggle at times. But great teams don't have multiple games were they struggle to get to 7 points in a half. In 5 of their last 7 games they have had halves were they scored 7 points or less. Yet all of a sudden they are flip a switch cause it's November and December. They are what their record says they are.
  18. This team is not those teams. It's not just a couple of bad losses but how they have looked in their wins too. They consistently struggle to put up points in multiple halves of games. I don't see how all of a sudden they flip a switch.
  19. If want to make it make sense, people have to look at this team realistically. Josh has regressed this season, the offense struggles for halves at a time in most games to put up points and the defense can't stop a nose bleed. This team isn't that good. The 3-4 record in their last 7 games shows that. Many seem to think this is still a Super Bowl caliber team and this season they are far from it.
  20. Even if the Pat lose, the Bills still need to win multiple games in a row to catch them. The way they have been playing I don't see it. The are 3-4 since their 4-0 start.
  21. Turnovers has happened on both sides of the ball. The offense has turned the ball over more than they did last season and the defense has gotten fewer turnovers this season. They have regressed to the mean and it's making a big difference in how this team plays.
  22. They kind of were wiped off the map. For a team whose supposedly has one of the best offenses in the league, they again struggled to put up points in the 2nd half.
  23. I'm not confused at all. If you search old threads about Jeremy White, many put him with Schop in terms of their endless critism of the Bills
  24. What a joke. This team is mid at best. It's not just one game. It's been multiple where the offense struggles to score in halves.
  25. This is a mid team at best. 10-7 missing the playoffs
