  1. Most people on this board and the media have been saying this year that TT is slowing down the Offense and is failing to move the chains, but here are the top QB passers on 3rd down in the NFL this year. Completion % Yards Passer Rating Josh McGowan 70.8 1,043 103.6 Drew Brees 67.5 859 94.2 Carson Wentz 66.4 1,043 125.7 Tyrod Taylor 65.4 707 88.0 Case Keenum 64.9 771 86.6 All of the top 5 QBs have played in 12 games I believe except Taylor who has been in just over 11(injury last week and Peterman game.) Looking at these figures, it would seem our problem is more on 1st and 2nd down, so place the blame where you wish.
  2. How many fans do you think will say they are happy with another year out of the playoffs. You need research for this?
  3. Is it a plus if a guy can't stay on the field. Of course not . Benjamin was damaged goods when he got here, same for Matthews. Good teams don't keep injury prone guys. As far as the QB or WRs. It is the chicken and the egg. The QB was no good because the WRs are bad, or the WRs are no good because the QBs are bad. Who knows, you can argue it forever.
  4. Just spin from McCoach. What is he going to say "We blew it. He was practicing great and we were just trusting the process, and I am upset that we have a hard time judging talent". When he said next question, it means he did not want to answer it
  5. This thread is not about strong or weak divisions and not about QBs. It is about the fact that these three coaches were hired again once they were gone from Buffalo. People believed in these guys, and they are having success. The question is why did they fail here, and were given another chance I think the answer is complex with various reasons. You can say Ownership, GMs, money, talent, experience or whatever. You can even say our coach is having success at 6-6. I disagree but see the other viewpoint. The point is the three are doing well, and we are going on eighteen years of not doing well. Something, or some things are wrong here and we are never are able to fix it. .
  6. Sorry about the title. It should be personell. However a lot of people are missing the point. The AFC is very weak this year and we would be in if we didn't lose all the talent we almost gave away. Due to free agency the NFL is a now league, and depending on the draft for improvement in years to come is not valid. This is a old team and there is no guarantee we will not be worse after the draft next year. These two guys from Carolina were given the keys to the kingdom, whereas ownership should have hired a football czar to pick a proven management team. This is on ownership, for the same way its on them for the Sabres. We have lost talent, and it may be three to five years before they are shown the door, but their decisions have been poor and no own has even brought up Benjamin. He had been injured in Carolina, and he is still injured. Carolina knew what they were doing in getting rid of him. He may make out in years to come, but again, this management has made poor choices this year, and that is what we are talking about, not years to come.
  7. Virgil: Disagree about the WR swaps. Woods, Witkins and Goodwin(8-99 yards yesterday) have all been productive. More productive than they were here last year. And what did we get who has been productive. NOBODY. I don't want to hear about draft choices. When they lose talent like LB Eric Lee off the practice squad on Nov. 11, to of course the Pats, this management group does not have a clue what talent is.
  8. Injuries happen but did you notice Goodwin had 8 catches for 99 yards yesterday, and Sammy another TD.
  9. This regime lost me for good when they had Eric Lee on the practice squad and the Pats took him on Nov.11. All over the field yesterday including the Bills backfield and the National announcers wondered if he has enough snaps to get him to the Pro Bowl. They were supposed to hire the GM who hires the Coach, but Ownership hired the Coach who hired the GM who has not spoken on the state of the team all year long. Ryan a D Coach and McDermott another D Coach. I don't think Ownership and Management would know talent if it hit them in the face on the way out the door. Is ownership getting a pass with the Sabres like they are getting with the Bills?
  10. We do need to keep our draft picks, but when you have two guys who don't have a clue, then what. The latest case in point. Eric Lee was claimed off the practice squad Nov. 11, as they didn't think he was good enough for the roster. The Pats took him and he was all over the field last night, and in the Buffalo backfield all night. The announcers wondered if he got enough snaps to go to the Pro Bowl, and you want McBeane to pick the draftees.
  11. They pick at the bottom of the barrel because its all about the money. They owe Rex for three more years, so they got these two guys cheap. You want proven coaches, GMs or football czars to run the program you need to pay them good money. When they say its not about the money it IS about the money. Money talks and bull---- walks.
  12. He has more money than he and his family can ever use. Like Revis has come back for no pay, Eli would do the same if he thought he could win.
  13. Matthews is finished weather by injuries or not does not matter. The Pats dumped Tate and Jones has been a dissapointment. They might like Watkins, Woods or Goodwin. Oh I forgot we sent them packing.
  14. When he was drafted by the Chargers years ago he refused to play for them and forced the trade to the Giants. What in your mind makes you think he would want to play here.
  15. To the fool who said we are .500. 500 and a metro card buys you a subway ride or 500 gets you a 18th year out of the playoffs. I!ve asked this before more than once and no one knows. Who hired these guys from Carolina, or were all the assistants names put on a dart board and McBeane was hit with the darts. We deserve better, and a little anger out of management, but the only thing I have heard is trust the process. With all the talent sent away we have basically no WRs, no backup RB, no backup QB, and a OL and D with more holes than swiss cheese. I don't know how Dareus, Ragland, Darby did today, but are WR couldn't catch the ball over Gilmour. Today, Goodwin 8 catches 99 yards, Watkins a TD, and a guy who couldn't make the roster was taken off the practice quard 11/9 by the Pats and was all over the field today including in the Buffalo backfield. Finally, why would any other QB want to play here. Years ago Eli was drafted by the Chargers and wouldn't play for them forcing a trade to the Giants.
  16. Tennessee and Jacksonville tied for the AFC South lead, and the LA Chargers tied for the lead in the AFC West today. All Coached by former Bills Coaches who either weren't good enough here or had to get away from this organization. I!m not smart enough to know what that means, maybe others can tell me.
  17. Who once said "The truth hurts. You can't handle the truth".
  18. Guys. The future is now. The NFL is a now league, and with the decisions made this year, what makes you think this group knows how to make decisions. Are you forgetting , as long as Beane and McDermott have been in the NFL no one, not one team hired them for the positions they are in now. Maybe management made all the great decisions with the Sabres. Haven't checked lately, how are they doing in the NHL?
  19. How many drops did we make today? Anybody know the numbers. By the way, Goodwin had 8 receptions for 99 yards, Watkins another TD.If Brady has these WRs I guarantee you he would have been retired already.
  20. Why didn't you make the thread, they had a tough year or a tough decade.
  21. The winning teams have the good ones who are tall enough to get the job done.
  22. If you don't know the answer to the thread, then you have not been watching Bills football.
