An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game
MJS replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
The defensive performance and allowing 44 points is certainly something the coaches should be criticized for. I'm with you on that. The end of the game sequences, when the game was basically already lost unless a miracle happened, is what is being overreacted to. That's what this thread is about. -

Anything good the team does is attributed to anyone but McDermott. Anything bad is automatically heaped on McDermott's shoulders. -

It wasn't that bad. Fans are overreacting big time. But what else is new? Every win and fans are chanting "Super Bowl!" and every loss the fans are chanting "Fire McDermott!" -
I don't think Bosa was actually Offside.

McD will be the scapegoat to hide the real issue this week

Exactly. We were already in almost guaranteed loss territory by then. Down two scores with 1 minute left. Everything had to go perfectly. And it didn't. Shocker. -
12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread
MJS replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
He started blocking while the ball was in the air for sure. But his block was a bear hug, with his arms around the backside of the defender. Isn't that illegal even if he had waited till the ball was caught? -

He still makes clock management mistakes. Most coaches do. It is a lot harder to make those decisions in the split seconds they need to than many realize. Fans are always nitpicking well after these things happen. -

On that last TD to Nacua, they set a pick play to get him open and the other receiver just bear hugged the defender to set a pick. Is that allowed? -

They couldn't stop Nacua and they couldn't get pressure on Stafford. That is the reason the Bills lost. It was already a slim chance at the end that the Bills could win. It was a two score game with a minute left. Whatever you feel about the clock management, the bulk of the blame should be on the defense and containing Nacua. Great game by Josh Allen. It was a very entertaining game. The Rams wanted it more and needed it more, I suppose. Kudos to them. -

No, he doesn't, actually. He doesn't have that many goal line TDs. -

A couple of Josh Allen's best games are from his rookie season. Nobody was paying attention enough before 2020 to realize that Josh came into the league with all of the tools to be great. He just had to develop them. -
I don't get how they are related, though. Do the players get more injured if they try hard? Are injuries preventable by not trying your hardest to get the 1 seed? This regime doesn't rush players back ever, so that's not going to happen regardless.

Always the ray of sunshine. -
True, haha. The Dolphins and Jets really crashed and burned this year. They should be embarrassed. It shows the difference between accumulating talent and building a team.

Funny that he blocked you, because BullBuchanan is the SINGULAR person that I have ever blocked on this site. I've had my fights with other posters for sure, but I've never felt like I needed to block anyone until him. He should feel honored.

6 Offensive Linemen: The Bills' most effective offensive personnel grouping
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't the Bills tie that record in one of the recent seasons? I seem to remember that being a talking point. -

The 6th olineman is technically a TE, which means they can pass him the ball. Don't be surprised if they do that sometime in the playoffs. -
Week 14, Bills v. Rams, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Why? They seem beatable to me. Goff is still a statue. They are banged up on defense. They have gotten stopped and punted multiple times already tonight. I don't see the mystique in them that you do.

Dumb challenge.

I'm assuming he means now that the number of playoff teams has been expanded.
