  1. Last time Cam played it was clear his arm/shoulder was completely shot. He couldn't get the ball to receivers. He was underthrowing everything and skipping the ball at the feet of receivers. You haven't seen him play much at all. He is always injured.
  2. Just one player needs to make the right play in the right moment.
  3. I don't care who it is as long as someone steps up and rushes the passer effectively. If it is Solomon, great. Do I expect a 5th round developmental guy to be the answer? No, not really. But you never know.
  4. He's only 28. For some reason I thought he was older.
  5. Why are we talking about 2017?
  6. There are some good drought players who don't get their due because of the bad teams they played on: Terrence McGee, Chris Kelsey, Nate Clements, Aaron Schobel, and London Fletcher are a few. Lee Evans, of course. I also think Joe Ferguson gets forgotten sometimes. He had some good years.
  7. I think he'll look better than he did last year. He was with the Jets, afterall.
  8. I think we're getting off topic. I never claimed that Sanders was small or couldn't play the run. I stated that the Bills have targeted penetration and pass rush ability at the DT spot. Fans have been clamoring for a big, run stuffing nose tackle type player for awhile. The Bills have shown over and over that they don't care about that. They want a certain type of defenisve tackle and they continue to bring in guys of that type. The scheme itself is designed to stop the pass, not the run. If they stop the run, great, but if they give up some rushing yards, they are fine with that if they are able to limit passing production, big passing plays, force long drives, and get some turnovers.
  9. Actually, the contract doesn't allow for that, which is why there are affixed fines and penalties. That's like saying the league allows you to beat your girlfriend or do drugs with game suspensions. Discipline for not adhering to the rules and contracts is not the same.
  10. He is a penetrating style DT, not a run stuffing DT.
  11. I don't think you understand what you are watching if you think that.
  12. They did stunts a lot when McDermott was the coordinator. That dried up a lot last year.
  13. They get fined for missing mandatory time and they lose an accrued season if they hold out for enough games. Like I said, terminating it early is, in fact, fulfilling the contract because the contracts allow for that.
  14. That's part of the contract, though. The player agrees to that and it is spelled out exactly what will happen if the contract is terminated early, including paying out gaurenteed money. There aren't provisions in contracts to allow players to skip mandatory practices or games, though.
  15. Or we could compare games where the Bills defense played well and the Lions defense did not. If we are looking at 1 game samples between two teams, we can tell literally any story we want. Just pick the games you want to fit whatever narrative you want. Look, the defense has to play better against the Chiefs in the playoffs. That's a fact. It has to happen. I agree with that.
  16. That's exactly what I thought as well. Plus, why use the last name of Joe Brady but the first name of Dalton Kincaid? That's just unkind to readers.
  17. The Bills defense is already focused on turnovers. They have been excellent in that regard. Under McDermott they were a lot more aggressive with blitzing, sometimes too aggressive, but less so last year with Babich. We also didn't run as many stunts, which hurts Oliver's effectiveness. I'd like to see Babich move a little more towards McDermott's aggressiveness with blitzing and stunts. The secondary issues were because of a lack of talent and experience, not because they were playing passive off coverage all the time. They weren't. With better talent this year and development of young players, the back 7 should be better. But the Bills are going to give up rushing yards by design. Fans need to be ready for that. They choose to play light boxes and bring in penetrating d tackles instead of big bodies that can clog up running lanes. They choose to play linebackers who are fast and small and can cover the field instead of ones who can take on blockers and tackle runners. It's just what they choose to do. And they doubled down on that approach with TJ Sanders and even Deon Walker (who is big bodied, but plays more like a penetrating 3 tech).
  18. He was pretty decent. Here's to a happy retirement 🍻
  19. That was an incredible hurdle for sure and he had a heck of a season. Good for him. Do they ever put defensive players on the cover? I seem to remember Troy Polamalu was on it once?
  20. KC is a scrappy team. They can make the plays they need at the right moments. Even when things aren't going their way, they usually get back into it. That Josh Allen run to win the game was one of the most clutch plays I've ever seen.
  21. They used to be overrated. Every season they talked about how the Cowboys "underachieved". Well, if you consistently underachieve, it just means you aren't as good as people think. Their players were overrated as well. Now, I think most people have caught on and don't see them as a top team or a potential superbowl contender.
  22. I'd take Kelce in his prime over all of the other guys you mentioned except maybe Gronk. Plus, he CAN block. He just isn't asked to that much. He has blocked well on screen plays that I've seen. Coming out of College he was seen as a good blocking TE.
  23. Lots of fast guys fail.
