  1. Contracts go both ways. If you are not performing as a player, the team should have a way to protect themselves.
  2. I guess my question is whether or not the NFL as a whole is one business, or at least a multiple businesses underneath one umbrella business. That could mean the owners can get together and decide whatever they want and it wouldn't be collusion. If they are separate businesses, that's where collusion comes in.
  3. He isn't so much aggressive as just smart. He goes for it when he should. One point doesn't do much for us there. Two points does. That's why they went for two. It's a math problem, not an aggressive vs conservative issue.
  4. I guess I just don't understand why those are the only two options. Why isn't it an option for White to take a couple of more weeks to get right mentally and completely ready physically to then finish strong with the team for the last few games and the playoffs? Would that really be the end of the world?
  5. The Jets are for real and Zach Wilson is an ok QB... oh wait! It's clear Zach Wilson is a bust and the Jets are going nowhere with him. The Dolphins are a true threat to the Bills in the AFC East... but actually their success is just a mirage and they aren't that good... oh wait, they are actually really good. The Bills are clearly going to win the superbowl and are the best team ever... oh no, we will actually miss the playoffs and everyone should be fired... oh wait, the Bills are probably good and will make the playoffs. Phew! The Vikings are the best team in the league and will go to the superbowl... well, actually they suck and will miss the playoffs. Notice any trends here? It's fans overreacting to every single win and loss for every single team. Goodness gracious, people! Bad team win games sometimes, and good teams lose to bad teams sometimes, and this year especially has been very hard to predict in the NFL. You don't need to keep making definitive statements about teams. It's a foolish approach.
  6. Great coaching by McDermott today and a great moment as well.
  7. We literally had threads started claiming the losses were squarely on McDermott.
  8. Accuracy is not Wilson's problem. He has a strong, accurate arm. His problem is not being able to process the defense or make good decisions under pressure. And he has a long injury history.
  9. Looked like great coaching to keep him from getting too frustrated and to be ready for targets when they come. Agree. I was very impressed by McDermott and thought both of them handled it really well. There are a million things to demand a head coach's attention during a game, but he took the time to spend a few moments to encourage and pump up a frustrated player.
  10. Horrible, horrible call. One of the worst I've seen.
  11. Don't worry. We'll win today and some of these negative posters will disappear until the next few days. Success is too hard on them.
  12. Bull. McDermott has received WAY more criticism than Allen, as if McDermott is out there throwing the game sealing INT's. I don't want to fire either of them. I hope they are both the Bills combo for the next decade plus.
  13. Here's my issue: when we win, it is because Josh Allen is amazing, and Ken Dorsey called good plays, and the defense has some good talent and players, and Frazier is a good DC. When we lose it is because of McDermott (plus the few whipping boys we have as players). McDermott is never given credit for wins (by the fans who hate him) and is ALWAYS blamed for every loss or misfortune.
  14. Really only one thing: Not a single turnover
  15. Now do one with win percentage. Coaches do not usually go on the hot seat for winning a lot of games in the regular season and winning games in the post season. Bills fans are NOT patient. They are just powerless to make any changes. Otherwise, McDermott would have been gone before the end of his first year. And Josh Allen would not have even taken a snap for the Bills because fans would have traded him for Josh Rosen.
  16. Fans always believe they are entitled to information from the coach and the team. Fact is, they aren't. The coach doesn't have to tell you anything. McDermott, and basically every single other coach, fulfills the minimum requirement of his media availability and then focuses the rest of his attention on the team and football. It is very soft and entitled to be complaining that the coach is not giving you information, especially if you understand that coaches have a goal of providing as little information as possible to the media at all times. If you don't like it, tough.
  17. People will find literally anything to complain about and to criticize the team. Just amazing the level of dedication this fanbase has.
  18. Tre did speak to the media. He made it clear he wasn't ready to return. They have done nothing wrong. If you want your imagination to run wild, go ahead. But don't blame them.
  19. The Bills organization have said basically nothing about Tre White. The only thing we have to go on is the speculation of fans and media who know nothing about the situation. Even if the Bills came out and said he is done for the season, fans would still be attacking him because they don't believe it should take that long for him to recover. The only cure is for fans and the media to see him play again at a high level. Until that happens, fans and media will continue to spout nonsense. He is practicing and working his way back. That's why.
  20. He was horrible last year. I disagree that he is better than Saffold or Quesenberry, especially if he is playing tackle. Saffold has not been as bad as people are claiming. Not nearly. Quesenberry is an ok backup tackle.
  21. What is the normal percentage?
  22. Crazy Matt Ryan has so many. He hasn't even started all the games.
  23. But kicks it off a lot.
  24. It was still a bad decision. He didn't need to try to thread the needle there.
  25. Good for Hughes. I guess the change of scenery and scheme are helping him accumulate some individual stats. As for our defense, sign me up for some more scheme versatility. We have done the same thing for so long I think we are due to mix things up more. Be a little more aggressive and blitz more. Let the pass rushers pin their sars back and not worry about gaps soketimes. Get some weird packages. Do more to confuse the offense. Maybe you will give up some plays, but we are already allowing the occasional back breaking play anyway. With all the injuries, I don't think we can just run the same boring scheme. I'm starting to think we really need three guys to be healthy to run it effectively: Hyde, Poyer, and Milano. We are missing two of those right now.
