  1. Dennison is probably staying especially since he can use TT as the scapegoat. And if McD/Beane are smart they'll wait until the 2018 season starts to can Dennison so they can make him their scapegoat if the offense continues to be the leagues worst.
  2. On social media today lavish praise is being heaped on St Doug and Tom Coughlin for the work they did this year in Jacksonville. It was also pointed out that St. Doug already has his own coaching tree branching out with Mike Pettine who had success in Cleveland of all places before being prematurely fired after his 2nd season. Look for Nate Hackett to be a hot commodity too for the work they've done with Blake Bortles.
  3. I don't see KW back with the Bills unless it's for the vet minimum with no guarantees he makes the final roster. It was great to see him finally get to the playoffs but I think he's finished and the worst mistake any franchise can make is holding on to aging veterans for the sake of appeasing fans.
  4. The 2017 Dolphins should serve as a cautionary tale in terms of high expectations and disappointment after a first year head coach gets a team with a playoff drought back into the tourney. And I still think 2018 has all the makings of a classic 'two steps back' season for the Bills especially with a head coach in McD that has a lot of work to do with his personel evaluation, game decisions and clock management skills.
  5. Defense was great today if you take away the Bortles rushing, and still think not having Studlano play hurt this team more than most realize. But heading into the offseason we definitely need to replace Alexander and Brown and both likely played their last game as Bills today.
  6. Bills mafia deserves better than the garbage they saw today. But whatever, I'm at peace knowing the drought is over. But this regime has a long way to go especially McD and his horrendous coaching decisions.
  7. Not sure why some folks insist on obsessing with the Dolphins but I already admitted I was wrong (as were many other experts) about them being a SB contender this year. But again, the 2017 Bills should use Miami as a cautionary tale heading into next season. Because expectations were sky high in Miami this year after Gase turned around the franchise his first season and got them to the playoffs. And something tells me no matter what this team does in the offseason some fans will be talking SB heading into 2018 for the Bills.
  8. I don't think McD would have had much of a choice given the hit Taylor took, but even if Taylor was cleared you can't go back him if NP won the game today against a superior Jags team on the road. In fact the Biggest mistake McD made was going back to Taylor after the Chargers game or we probably are advancing to 2nd round and wouldn't have needed a miracle play from the Bengals to get into the tourney to begin with.
  9. It's not a fluke when you go into a place like Pittsburgh and hand their ass to them and Big Ben has one of the worst days of his careers. I'm not saying St. Doug and the Jags do it again but the odds are in their favor given the talent they have on defense. Also for all the talk about how bad Bortles is he dominated the Bills defense today and made them look silly with his legs. Andy Dalton throwing a hail mary on 4th and 12 in Baltimore. Glad the drought is over but the Bills proved today they were the worst of all the teams in the playoffs sadly, at least they covered the 9 point spread though which most didn't think would happen.
  10. Not sure how anybody can bash Peterman today given the circumstances. Guy came in off the bench and made a huge 4th down conversion in his first play then another beautiful pass before a garbage intentional grounding call and INT that wasn't legit and not his fault to begin with even if it was. Bottom line, the future is very bright and look forward to seeing him start next year after a good offseason.
  11. Me too but I still can't wait until he's long gone from this team. Sad way for any players career to end regardless.
  12. And more importantly they have the better coach. McD and Beane are extremely lucky they backed into the playoffs and don't have the drought hanging over their shoulders because I still think the 2018 campaign could be similar to Miami's season this year.
  13. I laughed at the St. Doug stuff before but it's true, he's now turned around 3 pathetic sports franchises very quickly. And you can argue McD is merely riding both Marrone and Rex's coattails with foundation laid for him. Jags were particularly inept and woeful the last few season before Marrone took them from worst to first this year winning the AFC South and now on there way to the 2nd round at worse. I won't be rooting for him and the Jags, but don't be surprised if they make a deep run because if anybody is equipped to beat juggernauts like the Pats and Steelers it's this Jags team.
  14. Hope he's ok but I think we would have won the game if Peterman started. Like most teams we've played all season the Jags stacked the box knowing Taylor would do very little in the way of getting the ball downfield and loosing up the defense.
  15. I know some Bills fans will refuse to concede this, but McD proved today he was in over his head against a superior HC and staff in Jacksonville. This game might have been there for the taking in the 1st half too but the same questionable play calling and clock management reared it's ugly head once again. Good coaches have brass balls and aren't afraid to go for it on 4th down, whether it was St. Doug and the 4th and goal that scored the Jags game winning TD or his mentor Sean Payton going for it on 4th and 2 from the 50 yard line at the end of the game today to try and ice it. Just sucks that after 17 years of not making the playoffs it's St Doug who has the last laugh and stuck it to this team with a brilliant gameplan utilizing Bortles mobility (who had a career game rushing by the way). Bills fans deserve better than 3 points in a playoff game period.
  16. I was planning on going but I have high level business meetings first thing tomorrow morning. And in hindsight I"m sure glad i didn't waste my hard earned money to watch this garbage today.
  17. Peterman is the future and he gave this team a chance to win today. Not his fault the ball was deflected (and the ball hit the ground anyway).
  18. While true, a lot of fans also claimed the same thing in regards to opposing QB's when we faced the Jets, Bengals and Panthers (with a hobbled Newton). In fact I think this game is going to be very similar to Carolina in terms of our offense being able to do very little against the Jags defense. This means we have to hope that Bortles plays like Newton did in week 2 against us and turns the ball over to win. Either way Jags went 6-2 at home this year just like the Bills and their only losses were against the Titans and Rams early in the season (both also playoff teams). They pretty much dominated all their other opponents at home including the Seahawks and Russell Wilson.
  19. It's possible but $18 million is simply not realistic to pay a guy who posts the type of stat lines Taylor does on a regular basis. Especially if Beane believes they can get that from NP next year who costs virtually nothing. In the end though it might come down to what TT and his agent truly believe he's worth and not wanting to be on a year to year situation in Buffalo which is obviously going to be the case next year again if he should come back with NP and/or another rookie QB waiting in the wings. I'd also take Alex Smith over TT if that was an option. But still believe NP can have a good offseason and bet the guy next year even if he's ultimately a placeholder for somebody else we draft this spring.
  20. This Gruden deal seems somewhat ridiculous but the Raiders aren't known for making the best decisions in recent years. Will be interesting to see what happens if though if the Raiders miss the playoffs again next season with Gruden.
  21. Even if it's a formality that we are moving on from TT in the offseason, he can do himself a big favor on Sunday with a good performance win or lose. Would also help the Bills in getting max value for him in a trade scenario. Either way it's hard to imagine him being back in Buffalo unless we make a deep playoff run which would have to be because of TT anyway since this defense simply isn't going to be good enough to beat teams like the Pats and Steelers.
  22. This whole story is the epitome of fake news and ESPN is pretty much the CNN of the sports world.
  23. Offensively I would tend to lean towards a guy like Zay Jones knowing we'll have to pass the ball more than usual if McCoy isn't close to 100%. Defensively though I think a guy like Yarborough or Washington is key up front in terms of pressure and forcing Bortles into bad decisions.
  24. Hyde is truly a 'players player' and is one of the better FA's additions this team has made in many years. Will also go a long way into recruiting similar FA's to come to Buffalo in the offseason.
  25. I believe Taylor has an incentive in his contract depending on if the Bills can advance in the playoffs. Either way the playoffs is when a QB truly proves his worth. And pretty sure both McD and Taylor know the style of play that has got them into the playoffs offensively isn't going to cut it if they want to win in Jacksonville and beyond. This is where Taylor needs to prove he truly has guts and can take multiple chances in a game where the loser goes home for good until next season.
