Chiefs to Start Mahomes in Week 17
SaviorPeterman replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chiefs are locked into the #4 seed so this makes sense. And even if Mahones plays great I seriously doubt Andy Reid would pull a Rob Johnson/Doug Flutie move unless of course the Chiefs owner pulls a Ralph Wilson first. -
With better QB play were certainly win the Bengals and Panthers games. And two me those were the two most important games we blew this season, especially the Bengals. I won't blame TT for the TNF jets game but certainly it was a combination of factors and a game we should have also won. But as for the Chargers it's still stupid to assume we would have won that game or had a chance with TT considering how hot they were during the time we played them and how poor the defense was in that game regardless of NP's turnovers.

Hope we don’t make playoff
SaviorPeterman replied to Joaquin1119's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As down as I am on this team and think the future is much bleaker than it is bright under this regime, I'd still take a playoff birth any day if anything to exorcise some demons. But either way this team is very good and would essentially be backing into the playoffs because other mediorce teams choked. -
This still doesn't change my overall opinion of Dareus. He's obviously a very good player on the field when he wants to be but in no way was worth the ridiculous money Whaley gave him. But at the end of the day we essentially traded a much stouter defensive unit and better shot at the playoffs for a 5th round pick that could amount to nothing. And I still think Dareus opened things up for the pass rush as well which has markedly declined as the season went on and also exposed KW as being finished and mostly a liability this season especially against the Run.

Bills 2018 opponents confirmed
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Next years schedule is another reason I forsee a 6-10 type of campaign, even with an improved roster/team. Going to be a lot of heat on Beane and McD by midseason for sure. -
We can no longer ignore the metrics that say this was a much better defense with Marcel Dareus in the lineup. And no matter how Beane and McD spin it, there was no real reason to unload Dareus when they did and simply could have waited until the offseason. And in hindsight this very well may be the move that kept this team out of playoffs: http://www.espn.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/30614/bills-dreadful-run-defense-could-lead-to-offseason-makeover

What type of Bills fan are you?
SaviorPeterman replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Pessimistic but would obviously love to become optimistic about this team but until the playoff drought is over and we solve the franchise QB puzzle can't expect anything to realistically change. -
Super Bowl LII Predictions
SaviorPeterman replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a very tough year to pick, at least in the NFC given how loaded but I'm going Patriots/Saints in the SB with the Pats winning it all yet again. If there was a true dark horse the pick is St Doug and his Jags to beat the Pats and win it all. Vikings would be the NFC team that surprises everybody and wins it all. -
Are the Bills fun to watch?
SaviorPeterman replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This Bills team is all about 'winning ugly' so no they are not necessarily fun to watch in that sense. -
This game WILL force ppl to see the truth
SaviorPeterman replied to westerndecline's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably not, but if TT only has something like 60 yards passing and a turnover at halftime it would have to be awfully tempting if I'm McD, if anything because the Pats haven't prepared for NP to play against them. -
This would be the biggest win since...?
SaviorPeterman replied to Andrew Son's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's the thing, this would be a massive win in every sense of the word. But keep in mind the Bills would still need to go to Miami and win and can you imagine them losing that game after winning in New England and not making the playoffs? Would be the most epic failure in Bills history, maybe NFL history. The most ironic part about this game and assuming a split in the final two, the Bills have the better chance of making the playoffs if they beat Miami and lose against the Pats instead of vice versa. -
This is obviously another concern among the scouting ranks. Which is why I think it's a moot point talking about Allen as a 1st round pick at this point but what scares me is the Bills being desperate and reaching for another mid round prospect in the 1st round like they did with Losman and Manuel.

SaviorPeterman replied to westerndecline's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think there' s a very good chance a QB switch is made at halftime and we see NP if the game is close and TT plays his usual type of game. It would also be justification for McD to make the permanent switch to NP and start him next week in Miami (and the playoffs if we somehow make it). -
Josh Allen is the biggest Boom/Bust QB prospect in this draft and based on the Bills history with similar players (Losman/Manuel) I would tend to stay far away unless he's available in round 3 or later and the risk is minimized. Regardless there is no question this kid has serious talent and he's drawn a lot of interesting comparisons in the scouting world. In fact I was talking about the this year's QB with a source of mine in the Pac12 the other day and he said Allen has the potential (emphasis on potential) to be the next Big Ben but with a better arm. Same source also said he could be the next Jake Locker too.

ESPN predicts Alex Smith as starting Bills QB in 2018.
SaviorPeterman replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There will certainly be teams interested in TT but as a backup or placeholder for a top 10 draft pick at QB (i.e. Cleveland). But anybody that truly believes teams will be lining up for TT to be their starter are in for a surprise. -
Sportscaster Dick Enberg has died
SaviorPeterman replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Indeed, in fact I think he called a few of the Bills SB's. And a lot of Bills playoffs games back in the 80's and 90's. -
Playing devil's advocate here, would any Bills fan want Brady traded if he was here and had the same success in terms of SB's and championships? We are talking about the greatest player of all time, not just the greatest QB of all time. I get that you need to plan for the future but it's still a bit premature to assume Jimmy G is going to have anywhere close to the career Brady has had, or even Bledsoe for that matter in terms of Pat's history. In fact looking back and Jim Kelly's career and despite not winning and championships here would any Bills fan have been happy seeing him wear another team's uniform post Buffalo? Especially if god forbid he won a championship with another team.

SaviorPeterman replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't assume we won't see NP again this season, as soon as the 2nd half of the Pats game. I still think nobody can fairly judge NP based on the circumstances of the two games he's started this year. Either way we'll find out exactly what McD and Beane think of NP by next April because still believe there is less than a 1% chance TT is on the roster even if this team somehow makes the playoffs. Doesn't mean NP is guaranteed to be the guy if TT is released/traded, but what they do to replace TT will say a lot especially if they sign another journeyman QB and/or draft a QB in the mid late rounds instead of 1st round. -
You are probably right but Hoodie and Kraft are very confident and probably believe they can find another QB since they've been very good at drafting QB's in recent years. In fact it's pretty telling that both QB's that were on the roster behind Brady when the season started were traded and now starting on other teams in Brissett and Jimmy G.

SaviorPeterman replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't think this team is going to be very good next year regardless because of the pending veteran roster purge and influx of draft picks. And I still don't see this team wasting all their draft picks to try and move up to draft a QB anyway especially if they believe NP is a viable option.
