What is your #1 QB performance metric?
BuffaloBillyG replied to TheFunPolice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wins. After extensive research I have deducted that QBs that win more tend to have more successful careers. -
1 Monday night game. On the road. Against the Dolphins. Jets will be the Thursday night game.

Yup. And the chocolate that's always left on the Reese's peanut butter cups wrapper. I'm fat. Don't judge. -
The Lamar Jackson Sandbag

When looking for the next QB remember that Kim Pegula herself stated (and I'll paraphrase) it was a big deal to get to know that guy as he's the face of the franchise. How do you think his visit to Buffalo went? Therein lays your answer. Disagree. If you have a QB that uses his legs and has had success there it would make more sense to bring in a pocket passer to bring him along in that area. Just my opinion though. -
Sources tell me we have 8 home and 8 away games next season. The majority of the games to be played at or near 1pm on Sundays. More to come.

PAuline: agreement in principle with giants

My source has also just let me know this draft nugget. Each of the players we draft...will be male and be coming from college. More to come... -
To me the term "blue collar" means something completely different than it did years ago. Today while a good amount of people have better paying jobs I believe we still have a 'blue collar mentality". The hard work, the mental toughness it takes to live in an area that you don't see the sun for 8 months a year. Loyalty and dependability. Doesn't matter what your actual job is. It's an attitude. It's seeing a guy you don't know at a tailgate and inviting him to have a beer, grab a plate and relax. It's doing things like donating THOUSANDS of dollars to the charity of a guys charity because he helped our team in some way. It's values. Integrity.

PAuline: agreement in principle with giants

My elite sources have confirmed: Buffalo will draft at 12 & 22 next Thursday. Or they will move those picks and pick somewhere else. They may pick as high as 2 and as low as 32 in round 1. Also the guy they are locked into and WILL select will be both loved and hated on these boards. -
If the Bills TRADE UP for Josh Allen...
BuffaloBillyG replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My initial reaction will feel like a gut punch. Not going to lie. It's not even that I don't like Allen, it's that my opinion is we aren't set up to help him reach his full potential. The extra draft picks involved would not help matters. At least with EJ there was a trade back and gaining capital with that pick. By the end of the weekend though I will have fully and completely talked myself into Allen as a great pick as the Bills finally getting the guy they want over the guy that's left. -
Who is your favorite current Bill?

Obviously the answer is Kyle and for me Hyde. Honorary shout-out to Hauschka -
Peterman Works w/ Tom House, Adds Velocity

The kid took some steps to try and improve. And that's good on him. Coming in last year he was way over hyped by a lot of fans and certain media because they wanted ANYONE other than Tyrod. Well, they got that against the Chargers. He was far from ready. He didn't go until the 5th round last year for a reason. That being he needed a lot of work. I'm not saying this kid will be an All-Pro, a Franchise QB, or even a starter in this league. But with some work I don't see any reason why he can't improve and be a really decent back up. Have himself a Matt Moore type career. -
And why do we care about a QB that plays in Arizona?

Thanks for the info. Fwiw, Rudolph tends to look really good in segments like this. But I'm fairly certain shows like this are pretty heavily set up to show the public what the agent wants us to see.

I mean, it's obvious Dez is here and signing. Or, may not (likely not) have a thing to do with football. -
Bills Release DE Cap Capi

This makes me very sad sadi -
This is a very valid point. And your breakdown of him was nice. The best comparison I have seen for Josh Allen was earlier today. In essence; Josh Allen is like a nice piece of furniture from IKEA. He comes in and is really nice and all the parts are in the box, you just need to put it all together. Now, I don't know if Allen will end up more like Big Ben or more like Ryan Mallett. No one does. But Allen needs work (and yes, all the guys coming out do). I don't know if this team is set up for him to put it all together at this time. We saw the drop off when he had less talent. That's exactly what he's walking into here. We also don't have a very experienced QB coach, a defensive minded HC. We don't even have an experienced vet QB that can help him out (Like a McCown). In the right setting I could see him do well. The Giants for him would be perfect imo. But here? My hunch is we don't have the tools in place to help him take it to the next level. And add to get him we would need to likely add extra high draft picks to the mix and move to get him. Just sounds like a bad move. Again, in the right setting I could see him flourish. I just don't see here as the right fit.

Josh Allen visiting the Bills today

They aren't fast. And they are way too far down his head. Eye hieght of a guy that's only 6'2" is what I believe I've read on here. -
Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)
BuffaloBillyG replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not in the least. With access to these talking heads via Twitter, they have been asked about this rumor since last week. It's like the old "telephone game" one person say one thing and by the time it comes back the whole narrative is different. Common sense will tell you that's really all this is. I understand being hopeful and just itching to believe in SOMETHING going down. If you read back through that kids whole story there are at least 5 times that it's easy to see that this is a made up story. Read his whole timeline...he's never successfully leaked any of this supposed information his GM has had. Not even the Incognito issue...which he claimed to know ahead of time. -
Trade Rumors? (only Rumors)

I'd say it's more likely that some random kid having a boss that is bff with Russ Brandon...and Russ knows this huge plan...and is blabbering about it. But that's maybe just me.
