Daboll and Frazier....have they run their course here?!?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Sweats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hm. Perhaps a thread about how Building a dome would have ended up in a squib kick and playing better defense over the final 13 seconds? -
Daboll and Frazier....have they run their course here?!?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Sweats's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not sure about Daboll or Frazier. However, it feels like a lot of thread topics have run their course on these forums this week. -
My wayyyyyyyy too early prediction is 12-5. This will change based off what we do and what our opponents do. However as always, I'm a big believer that what matters most is WHEN you play a team.

Actually, I believe generalizing is lazy thinking. It always is a shock when a player retires on the younger side. But it does seem to happen every so often. Certain players have a different set of ideals and values. It was great seeing him stay healthy this season, though.

Haack Likely 1 and Done in Buffalo

Booming LEFT FOOTED punter...he's on Beane's board for sure. -
Brandon Beane Season Ending Presser Weds 1/27

Being "big spenders" in FA is fun for the fans. However, spending WISELY in FA is smarter. Finding players that fit your scheme and culture > Overpaying someone for production they had on another team, in another scheme and years prior just because they have a name fans recognize. -
Should not come as breaking news, however Beane has pretty much confirmed (IMO) that punter Matt Haack will not be back. First off, I want to thank Haack for the excellent job he did holding Bass's balls. Not always easy in the weather he faced. He had some rough punts and some pretty good ones. By and large though the inconsistency will be enough to lead to change.

Why wasn't there a spy on Mahomes?
BuffaloBillyG replied to Joe Ferguson's topic in The Stadium Wall
3 spies would have been best. -
Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season

Saying every FA will be snapped up by Belichick....it's officially our offseason. -
Beane anticipates Cole Beasley being back next season
BuffaloBillyG replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
One key thing he said that isn't part of those quotes... Mentioned he hasn't sat down and discussed where Cole is at yet. I believe they anticipate that talk to go well, however one of any number of topics they discuss could make that change in a hurry. -
Urban Meyer - "Worst experience in my professional life“

So, hire Urban? So, hire Urban? -
I would give Daboll and big raise and try to keep him
BuffaloBillyG replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree. I'm also curious what he could do for Daniel Jones. I mean, no he's not going to turn him into Josh Allen 2.0. However I feel like with some stability, a solid offensive staff and an OLine he could be above average. -

Giants are a great spot for him to have success. They have some really good skill positions players. They need some OLine help and of course a QB. Their defense is already middle of the pack. A good DC and they could trend up. Would possibly mean Jake Fromm stay with NYG as well. -
Jags Finalizing deal with Byron Leftwich [Edit: Or Not]
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is typically where Schefter send a Tweet like this that is more times than not being used by 1 side for leverage. Reading this, makes me wonder more if it's coming from the Jags to pressure Leftwich to sign quickly. Also wonder if Eberflus and Schefter share an agency. -
Jags Finalizing deal with Byron Leftwich [Edit: Or Not]
BuffaloBillyG replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Arians said yesterday that he would call plays. I would imagine they promote from within and keep the same system. A lot of what they had in place was reportedly implemented at Brady's suggestion. I don't think it factors in that much. -
Does this apply to promotions from within? Example, Andy Reid retires and Chiefs promote EB to HC. Do they get picks or has to be external hire?

Brandon Beane Season Ending Presser Weds 1/27
BuffaloBillyG replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall
Just imagine if Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, Groot, Boogie, Milano, Hyde or Poyer made one or two big-time plays during the KC game. Imagine if one of our CBs would have knocked ONE of Mahomes passes away. -
Yes, fans as well as a couple of the "in the know" types. Nothing concrete...which is why I used the world "speculating". Makes no sense? He's 29, has had a history of concussions and just welcomed a new baby. Yea, wouldn't be a huge shock if he pulled a Patrick Willis and walked away while he can and enjoys his family and life after football.

Hello all! I see there are some new users on the board and a ton more as guests...Would be good to see a thread around where new blood can stop by and introduce themselves. Well, the only difference in that train of thought is this. With football being a game rooted in human performance you give yourself many more chances at forcing human error. A ball thrown a tad too far. A guy slips. Someone bats a ball. Luck has a lot to do with the outcome of games like this as well. Every play has the potential of human error playing a role. Maybe if you made those darts double sided where one side was sharp and would stick and the other was flat and would bounce off the board...but you wouldn't know if you had the correct side until after it's thrown would be a stronger anaolgy for me. And that 1 dart 20 foot throw would be more likely a 1 dart 200 foot throw. But I think we see the same issue. Both incredible long shots.
