  1. I'm sure they don't. Still good to get out and play well in what was effectively a scrimmage. Each team in the group gets harder for them. They got an ideal schedule through the group stage. Today is the problem most team have with the US. They can sometimes hang for a half but the US is so fit that they continue to bring strong legs all game long. Chile will try to keep the ball from the US, and Sweden could actually be a good game--they are the only other decent team in the group.
  2. I like that the Bills May have a 4th down warhorse. In Allen, they should get 90% of 4th and inches but I like the strong back when you need 1.5 yards. McCoy was not that guy.
  3. So the big news is just about to break? That’s a relief.
  4. Today’s game should be a breeze. Still good to see them work into form for Chile and Sweden. Ellis should be able to rest anyone in need of some time off. Lots of youth on this team that will love their first World Cup.
  5. My 17-year old daughter has never been to a mall. I don’t believe her friends have either. She barely goes shopping in a store for anything. Not clothes. Occasionally shoes I guess.
  6. Please share your thoughts with your daughters and daughters of your friends. I don't mean summarize it, let them see what you said and what others are saying about the best soccer players in the world, because they are women. It's good that they know people like you exist, not just in theory, but in their lives. -- On to the soccer, the USWNT team is the best but the world continues to close the gap. In the last few cups, there was maybe one team each year (or 2 max) that could take them out in any given match. Now that number is 4-5. They should cruise through the Group stage except for maybe a little competition from Sweden. These first 3 games are a warm-up for them. Sinclair could break Wambach's record in this World Cup. That would be fun--she will definitely break the record, but better to do it on this stage than some other match that won't get as much attention.
  7. Last year Josh got the least snaps in camp, no line all season, zero running game, WRs that changed multiple times during the year...and was still decent. My expectations for the offense this year are high. Not Tom Brady high but I expect to see some consistent passing.
  8. I have used it for anything live for a couple of years. Never a problem.
  9. I met him once. Nice guy to me and the people I saw him interacting with over an evening. And seeing as how he’s not here to defend himself from your anonymous and unprovable accusations, I can only judge you.
  10. It would be instantly exposed. Too many people would know the kid and family. It would be on Twitter in 30 seconds. “That’s Jim. Here he is playing basketball a week ago.” It’s legit.
  11. Disney has a fast pass system. They have changed it twice but they have it. It doesn’t work the same way as the Universal one, which I think works better.
  12. Never had that issue and I live in an area with lots of neighbors all on Comcast. I understand it but never saw it. It’s not a huge savings for some, but it’s also shown me that I really don’t even need Hulu. Probably axe that soon. Live TV is yesterday’s yesterday at this point. If not for the occasional sporting event, I can’t think of a thing to justify it.
  13. That's where I was (to GG's point). I was at $182 for cable (with no HBO) with Internet plus $15/month TiVO=$197. Now I have: Internet (High-speed): $90 Hulu: $45 HBO: $15 (<--did not have this before I cut cable) Total: $150 I had Netflix before and after I cut the cable so that nets $0. Your mileage may vary.
  14. You'd need to add a lot of premium channels to make that true. If you're just adding HBO and Showtime, you're still saving a lot. When we cut the cord two years ago, we had no premium channels. We went to Hulu's commercial-free plan and added HBO, and still saved $45/month. I know there is always some deal that is better for 6 months but I'm just talking about regular rates. The only reason I can see wanting regular cable/DirecTV is if there's one really strange channel that's not available on the Hulu and Hulu-competitors. I watch live TV via Hulu (very rarely but maybe the occasional sporting event catches my interest) and get the NFL package through the Sunday Ticket App on my AppleTV. Whether Hulu, YoutubeTV, or the others is best, I have no idea. I looked at the channel lineup on Hulu and decided it was the one that made sense for our family. Since cutting the cord, I've never had a single moment where I missed anything about cable. Not one. Exactly. Roku is another good choice. All the services are just flavors of ice cream. They all work well. Pick the one that works best for you.
  15. Internet: 90 Hulu: 40 Netflix: 15 prime: 7? All accessed through an AppleTV ($120 one time cost). Sports are the only thing I watch live. I might tune in to breaking news on the bi-annual occasion that there is actual “breaking” news. At my in-laws vacation house, we have a Roku stick, which is a cheap way to get all the streaming stuff above (without live Hulu channels) and not pay for 2x subscriptions.
  16. The no huddle I’d like to see is the third and fourth and short situations. Brady and the Pats own that moment and I’ve never understood why other teams don’t do it. You just almost got a first down but are a little short. Line up quickly and see if your QB can fall forward for an easy first down. If it’s not there, audible out or call a TO. Pats force the the other team to call a time out or convert on that play 90% of the time. I see no other team do it. Makes me nuts.
  17. I hope so. Retiring a number, celebrating a person with an honor like the Wall, are optional. It’s up to the team to honor the person. The Bills should skip that honor for Simpson.
  18. Big Moose Lake in the ADKs. Been going there for several decades. Near 4th lake and not too far from Old Forge. Great trails. Great swimming lakes.
  19. You wanted her to do more than save the world? No one was the prime mover. That was part of what made it so great. Arya went away. Learned all the things she learned. Never forgot she was a Stark. Avenged the family. Saved the world. Took her vengeance almost too far and lost herself, but didn’t...but she wasn’t going to be a “lady” in the 6/7 kingdoms so she went off to find out what else is out there.
  20. Highest single night viewing in HBO history. Pretty incredible number of 19 million for a premium network with ~44M expected to view it this week. Cheers, Mash etc were in an era when you had to watch live or miss it, and there was not much competition. Kudos to good art.
  21. Come on. I read it too. He beat himself up but he also gave in and loved her. That’s what made it so good. He wasn’t only undercover. He fell in love. Not just with her but with them. He loved those people. It made for for a great tension.
