There was no "time served", that was Watson playing hardball with the Texans and he got paid a big check to do nada. I think Watson gets a full season, at least. NFL reputation for letting players get lite suspensions is over starting with the Ray Rice debacle.

There is very little comparison to what Kraft did versus Watson. Kraft did it with a willing participant, Watson by all accounts by and large did his activity with unwilling parties. Unwilling sexual partners is the line you dont cross.............rape.

i wrote 10-20 and I agree if he gets out 5 in years he might still have a shot at the NFL, I think post Ray Rice backlash the NFL has changed in that regard. Good test case will be Deshaun Watson, I wouldnt be shocked if he never plays on the NFL again.

Deshaun Watson was in fact a true superstar. evidence number 1 as a Bills fan was the Texans playoff comeback, it was almost all D Watson, he took the team on his back and had a few borderline miraculous plays like the one where two bills were on him and could bring him down for a sack and turned it into a big gainer. Looks at his numbers two years ago, the man was a real superstar.

That would be my initial gut reaction BUT if you can trust/coach up Watson to stick to his talking points, (never disrespected any woman blah blah blah) which he mostly did, I think it was a good strategy.
