  1. The problem with the play is that it morphs into other aspects of football. The NFL is gradually going to look more and more like rugby with people pushing runners forward. You see it all all levels now. There used to be a penalty for "assisting the runner", they was removed a few years ago. Now if a runner is stood up people try to push them forward which extends the play which, by definition, will increase the odds of injuries, prima facie.
  2. Yes but yesterdays result really skewed it, they are undoubtedly a great defense, especially considering their offense is so weak. I don't think there is more of an "uncomplimentary" team in the NFL, such a offense versus defense.
  3. Nah, I aint going through 7 pages , if you have a dumb arse quote you own it, Weird, I know.
  4. That is a Saleh trade mark, he encourages it, imo, takes some perverse pleasure in his team doing it which often results in dumb penalties.
  5. What is the point of this ? Yes, we understand but putting pressure on the QB quicker forces rushed and often bad QB throws, be him sacked or not.
  6. Just wait and see the number of pages this thread will create, wait to read all the people that are "outraged" over this. Watching the collateral damage and over-reactions is more entraining than the original "story" which is really a non-event.
  7. Only 27% chance if we win versus the Jets? Mathematically maybe but hat sounds incredibly low considering how bunched up the AFC is. Assume Miami, Baltimore, Jax and Chiefs win their conference, that leaves 3 spots for Buffalo, Cinci, Pitts, Browns and the last three beat up on each other. Maybe throw in the Raiders and Texans
  8. Well we disagree. Again quoting you, "fingerprint on the offense to some degree". Totally unrealistic. So if Dorsey wants to go for it on 4th and long in Q1, according to your logic, McD is not supposed to stop it.
  9. If this is the "scientific" explanation, I cant wait to hear the "unscientific" explanation.
  10. WTH did you expect? Do you expect the HC would not have his fingerprint on the offense "to some degree"? So he "admitted" it did he? If he had said, I dont do ANYTHING on the offensive side of the ball, people would be screaming to have him fired. Exactly, if not then they are not doing their job.
  11. Sad you didnt enjoy it. North Texas is pretty vague, parts I am sure aren't anywhere I would want to live in, other parts are probably pretty nice. If you were unhappy, dont know why your stuck it out 20 years. But to the point of these thread, the widow with a potential franchise QB ON A ROOKIE CONTRACT with a lot of draft capital and a good young HC, all the arrows are pointed upwards for the Texans. Like GoBills404 stated, great feeling for the Texans like 2020 for the Bill fans when Josh had his breakout year.
  12. A lot of Western New Yorkers have these prejudicial images of Texans driving pickup truck with a shotgun and chewing tobacco. Most with those prejudicial thoughts have rarely been to Texas much lest out of the Nprth East.
  13. 6-3 Browns was the Worst pro game every played. The winning QB, Derek Anderson, was 2-17 for 27 yards and an int. That was when Fitz and the Bills were on a hot streak, during which we decided to extend Fitz (Buddy Nix) to and expensive extention.
  14. I like Fitzie as well as most Bill fans abut we have ZERO idea if he has any desire, ability or inclination to do it. He is a natural on TV and well liked even beyond Buffalo, why would he abandon that.
  15. Also, who instructs the returners on kickoffs to return the ball when they have defenders on top of them, any of them know the rule for a fair catch to start at the 25?
  16. i know, time to clean house but i am pleased with Brady.
  17. Shula with the Bills would be bad karma, imo.
  18. I am more than familiar with what happened. I am a Houstonian member, was there this morning. So it happened many times? How many massages do you think these guys get a year, 5? Are the Texans supposed to know he was sexually assaulting women in his room? As for the timing, it started when Bill O Brien decided to "give away" Watson's favorite receiver, De Andre Hopkins for an old washed up RB and a 2nd, one of the worst trades in modern NFL history and he was pissed going forward. If there is one person to blame for it all (besides Watson), it was the room temperature IQ Owner Cal McNair for letting , as he would later say, (I think) "let the prisoners run the jail" meaning O Brien ruin the team. Some speculate O Brien wanted to get fired and paid off, might be true. He was finally fired after going 0-4 and it was too late (IMO) at that point, damage was done. Watson played the rest of the year and AFTER the season is when he started to voice his understandable displeasure. Back to the Houstonian, it has always been a popular place for rich athletes to hang out. It would be a very logical place for D Watson to hang out during Covid. As would River Oaks would be the logical place for 2 uber rich Houstonians to life. But if that is your "evidence", you ,must be a real sucker for conspiracy theories. Where there is smoke there is fire, wow, got me on that solid evidence.
  19. He ran hard yesterday but he also had a lot of massive whole I never recalled he had here. I think Cook is better and has more break away speed Singletary never had.
  20. Sorry but you are wrong, i am not going to go through the entire Watson debate again. Yes the Texans paid for a room at the Houstonian during covid and didnt report it under the salary cap CBA, good then nail them on that $26,000 they didn't report (which is exactly what they did) but to to take some phantom leap the Texans "enabled him" to be a sexual predator is a joke. And lets get this straight, since Buzzbee and McNair leave in the some $ neighborhood of River Oaks what are you implying? Buzzbee was the protagonist going AGAINST Watson, he rounded up the masseurs' and SUED Watson who was under contract with THE TEXANS! You have zero logic embedded in your comment. The Texans lost a pick and were fined for not reporting the $26,000 hotel bill, it had NOTHING to do with what Watson did in the room. That is like if my company sends me on a business trip and i invite hookers to my room, I guess my company "enabled" me to do it. Same similar illogic.
  21. thanks you, now this thread makes a bit more sense and that idea is horrid.
  22. The game that, THUS FAR, has blown up everything was the Patriots loss. How we let Mac Jones have the game of his lifetime versus us was incomprehensible and I put that on coaching. Just like during the "hurricane game" with the wind a few years ago Belichek beat us by coaching. and Belichek did to Dorian Williams exactly what he did to Tremaine Edmonds when he was a rookie, targeting him repeatedly till even McDermott even saw it and had to sit him.
  23. Phins keep it. Head on we are still in the race if we win, they will need to get beat by the Jets
