I was born in Cheektowaga, moved to southeast Texas when I was twelve, graduated from HS there, moved back to West Seneca after military and college, moved back to Dallas 6 years later, and am now living in WA state. I have heard many, many accents, slang terms, southern drawls, Pacific NW lingo, etc. I happen to find Leodis' speech enjoyably amusing as I would Boomhauer, Foghorn Leghorn, or anyone else who sounds 'different' than how I speak. Part of my amusement is deciphering his speech as it is a mix of southern accent, stutter, repetition, and fast speak. I enjoy hearing him talk BECAUSE he sounds different. His speech is the exact opposite of Ben Stein's character in the Ferris Bueller movie, which is painfully droll. If anybody is still bothered about this topic being posted to begin with, might I suggest you get over yourself, or is that offensive to you (you as in everybody, not necessarily purple haze) as well?

Inappropriate, how? It's Leodis being interviewed; his words. I've not posted anything inappropriate. If there is a comment that you don't like, then point that out but there is nothing wrong with the video.

Abso-freaking-lutely! I served in the US Navy and I'm not offended by the kneeling. It's a form of peaceful protest, which is one of the freedoms we have in this country, last time I checked. To some, the players can only protest in certain ways at certain times. Well, I say to them, "This is America, protest away."

Monday Nighter vs NE. My wife and I will be there from WA state.

I was at this game and will never forget how hard TT ran in that game. We win the game, we win the East. If Miami wins, they win the East. What a game. I remember the fans rushing onto the field in celebration, tearing down the goal posts on the tunnel end, and seeing one of the uprights make its way over the top of the visitor's side upper deck.

My personal favorite: letting a not fully healed Jim Kelly start in the AFC Championship game at Miami over Frank Reich back in Jan of 1993. Yes, we won the game and went on to our 3rd Super Bowl but Kelly threw a couple of INTs and looked rusty. Frank was on a roll after the Oilers comeback and winning on the road at Pittsburgh. Not only would Frank have beaten Miami, I think he would've done good against Dallas.

I'm coming to Buffalo for the Monday night game vs New England and I'm looking for the best fish fry available on a Saturday as I don't arrive until that morning. The only place I found so far is Hayes Seafood House in Clarence. Any other suggestions or feedback on this place? And no, I can't get to Buffalo on Friday. Head coach Kirk Ferentz was an offensive line coach in the NFL and has brought a pro-style approach to Iowa City, where the Hawkeyes have coached and developed some of the best linemen in the NFL. Most recently, the Hawkeyes put center James Daniels into the league, the 39th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft to the Chicago Bears. Daniels, only 20, grew into one of the best centers in college football in no time. This piece is not meant to highlight Daniels but a former teammate of his at Iowa, Ike Boettger. Who is Ike Boettger? I’m glad you asked. Boettger was slated to be the Hawkeyes’ starting right tackle in 2017 before an Achilles injury shortened his season to less than two full games. Able to play both right and left tackle, Boettger will be able to come in and compete right away for a Bills offensive line that no longer includes Cordy Glenn. Boettger is built with NFL size for the tackle position, checking in at Iowa’s pro day at 6-foot-6, 313 pounds. If Boettger can stay healthy, I think he has a chance to contribute as the Bills’ swing tackle right away and could compete to be their starting right tackle as soon as 2019. If he had been able to play a full season in 2017, I have no doubt he would have elevated his draft stock, potentially as high as a late day-two selection, or perhaps early day three. With the Bills’ youth offensively, the timing may be everything for Boettger. He’s got a chance to be a really good NFL player and I think he will prove that rather quickly in Buffalo.
