A few on here are responding VERY negatively to a surprisingly candid, albeit unwise, admission from a young professional athlete. What's the deal with THEM?

That Brady example is tricky, of course. He wasn't TB12 for many years in the NFL. He had to work for years to improve as a passer, not unlike Rodgers in GB (who did most of his work as a backup). The DRAMATIC improvement that certain QBs have made over the years (w/r/t decision-making and mechanics), while other prospects have concurrently flamed out, is difficult to analyze and apply.

It seems unlikely the Rams intend to trade Donald. There is NO indication that's on the horizon. Signing Suh is a complimentary, not supplementary, move. Less Snead has compiled a win-now roster, and trading Donald works counter to that momentum, AND jettisons the MOST disruptive interior DL talent in the NFL. Doesn't add up.

I'm not sure that's how we should be evaluating news outlets. If it's highly entertaining to a very specific demographic, and laughable/scary to the rest of the populace, that isn't really a marker of high credibility.

Now bear with me, but, is it possible you're oversimplifying this just a bit?

This Andre Reed point is interesting as a Ht/Wt/Pos thing, but anyone who has been around either of them will agree that they are VERY different dudes. Different enough that one can easily see it in on-field performance and demeanor, as well as out to dinner. McCloud feels like a lock to me. Special teams ability. And, to my distant eye, a more seasoned NFL attitude (via mentoring from Nelson Agholor). Cool story on WGR, I think? Anyways, I think Ray-Ray makes the team. And Jones?

You are probably right. But you're also wrong: we don't have proven NFL caliber WRs. Like I said, you're probably right. But you might be wrong. And you definitely don't actually know yet.

Great performance in the first episode of Atlanta this past season. Possibly the highpoint of the season. Seriously. How is that performance completely lost on most Bills fans?

I'm mad at myself for entering the fray on this one, but: 1. Large muscles do not correlate with QB success (or pitching success, for that matter--tall, thin, and long-limbed is okay). 2. He had THE WORST body at the NFL combine when he left college. 3. Contemporary NFL fans tend to be REALLY wrong about sports physiology. Certain (possibly most) NFL positions require obscenely hyper-developed musculature to survive and thrive in such a violent sport. Some simply do not. And an argument could be made that, in the past, lesser-muscled physiques were less prone to certain injuries (soft-tissue stuff, mainly...I'm woefully under-informed here). Most professional athletes these days are thinner and more truly fit than in the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Football remains an outlier as an extreme collision sport, but nonetheless, muscle mass is not as important as we tend to think. So stop with the eye test crap.

"Looked like Steve Young there for a second." That's actually reasonable color commentary on that play. Lefty with moxy and mobility and a quick delivery. Throws an absolute dart with no set base and heat bearing down on him from at least three rushers (two of which he'd eluded once to buy time).

Evidence and reason mean you no harm, I promise. I have three questions, if you'll indulge me: How did they "tr[y] to bring down his character"? How do you know their "ego's (sic) became bruised"? How are the high-level meetings in your "corporate America"?

I think Lawson is competing for a roster spot, and probably has the inside track on the 3rd or 4th DE slot. Will he make it? Probably. But we don't know. My money, if I had any, is on yes.

This is an incredibly brave confession. I, too, believe this malice lurks in the hearts of many Bills fans, though they are loath to admit it.

Has anyone read the charges and plea and conviction and all that? It's really a legal conviction of sexual assualt... There it is. I was a member since 2004. A few posters made the forum worth visiting. But also: shame on you.

I can't recall your handle (was never an avid contributor), but I recognize repulsive, commendable humor when I see it.

Graham never says "felony" in his tweet; and if you read the plea conviction language, it sure sounds like rape, or at least an injurious form of it. So, relax. Graham's tweet sure seems unnecessarily blunt, but then again, the details of Bennett's incident/assault are really gross, and maybe suggest people who celebrate him should think twice.

I had not previously heard of this charge, and consequent nickname, as I left the area the year before and did not return until 2012. So I just read about the charges and ruling and whatnot; yikes. Put the Biscuit up there with Jim Kelly as sports heroes in Blo who were scumbags off the field. ALLEGEDLY...
