  1. And then let him start two games, then ride the pine, then release him. Seems like good use of a 3rd round pick. And we used said 3rd round pick to trade up and get Edmunds. More Beane sorcery.
  2. I literally just said this to a co-worker... 2 picks for a guy that was going to get cut, or at best be lowest on the depth chart? I'll take it. Reminds me of the time he got a pick for Newhouse. I don't know how the hell Beane pulls this crap off.
  3. This is one reason I think McDermott is great. This is essentially what he did and still got the absolute most out of his players
  4. And then going to change to a team whose tickets are even MORE expensive.
  5. Definitely going to agree with the first two, Virgil. I can’t stand when people say, “the owner of that company is so greedy, he should pay the workers as much as himself!” Why? If he invested tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars of his own money, or in this case millions of billions, he’s entitled to keep as much as he wants. Everybody has a value, but the owners is the highest because he invested the money to begin with. And yes, colts fans should be entitled to a refund because the product they paid for isn’t going to be what they get
  6. I get this way every year before the first game, but it's more the anxiety of still not knowing 100% what our team is going to be. I think last year, some people were excited, thinking we were decent, maybe not great, but competitive. And then we came out week one at Baltimore and got embarrassed. It's basically that after eight months of roster moves, debating on TBD, etc., you still don't know what you have until the live bullets fly.
  7. I have SiriusXM All Access package for my wife's car, which gives you the "listen online" feature.. so i can just listen on the SiriusXM app. But last year, I started using the reddit streams to watch instead of listen and that's even better for me.
  8. Heck no. I moved 12 hours away to where I can't go to a game without flying. And I haven't been to a home game in basically nine years now. Hasn't changed one damn thing for me.
  9. but you can't trade him until he signs it. Which is the boat the Texans are in now.
  10. That's kind of the vibe I get too. What benefit do they have in "removing" him from the protocol if he can still practice fully anyway? Gives them an excuse to not let him see the field. A little 4-D chess maybe?
  11. You can't trade him past the trade deadline (week 6), and if he's on a tag, then that means he's not under contract after the league year, so we can't trade him. We have no rights to him at that point. We would however, get a compensatory pick if we didn't re-sign him, which would probably be a 3rd rounder.
  12. I don’t think a single person has said Zay Jones is viable compensation. They have said Shady, Zay, and a pick. Zay is part of the package, yes.
  13. I love Barkley, but for a 1? Yes, I know this would NEVER happen. But for a 1, bye bye Mr. Barkley.
  14. Oh absolutely. This is what happens when you invest huge in a QB, but not a line to protect him. Which is why I’m so happy that Beane made a point to upgrade our line this offseason.
  15. Just got the ESPN notification. Schefty reporting. WOW. sets that team back several years

  17. Honestly, the official is pulling his flag out when they're both in the air. But I'm on board if there was OPI earlier in the route. But did you see the second play in that clip I posted? They overturned something that clearly wasn't pass interference, and wasn't called as such, and turned it INTO pass interference. It's absolutely absurd. This nonsense is going to be more maddening than the initial blown calls. When they go to replay, and make an even more outrageous decision than what we saw in real time.
  18. Agreed. If they keep 7, Foster makes it. But at 6, I don’t think he should. I think he has performed the 7th best.
  19. As much as we hear from the coaching staff that nobody is ever GIVEN a spot, every spot is earned and every spot is a competition, no matter who you are, I’d like to know how they’d sell keeping Foster over McKenzie or Duke
  20. No, Jordan Mills doesn’t play here anymore
  21. I agree with you, to a point. I don’t think they’d “give up” on him either, but can you say he’s legitimately out-performed any of the six I listed since the start of camp? If they keep 7, I’d say keep him. But if we’re going on the premise that they’re keeping 6, I don’t see him as a top 6 performer thus far through camp. How would you justify cutting the guys who have been performing for a guy who hasn’t?
  22. Brown, Beasley, Zay, Roberts, Duke, and McKenzie. I think its been all but settled at this point, especially after another great performance from Duke this week.
  23. Agreed. Great move by Beane, as with our depth, Harold wasn't going to make the squad anyway. So to get something for a player that you were going to cut anyway? not too shabby. Reminds me of when he somehow was able to snake a draft pick away from an NFL GM for Marshall freaking Newhouse. Absolutely robbed him blind.
  24. It was bad, but it wasn't Beth Mowins bad..... Then again, Mowins isn't unprepared, she just has a horrible voice..
  25. No, you’re definitely not
