I don't know if NBC is artificially upping the crowd noise or not.. but it doesn't sound like only 17k fans. -

Man that's gotta be brutal for Chiefs fans. Finally win a SB and barely anybody can be there to unveil the banner. -

IF the Bills don't win the AFC East - -what's next?
CLTbills replied to LB48's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Impossible to say, in a vacuum. What is the reason that we don't win the AFCE? Especially with this COVID-19 stuff, who knows if we'll even have a full season. What if they call the season after 10 games and we lose the division for some reason? In 2008, the Patriots went 11-5 and missed the playoffs. Stuff can happen. The arbitrary "must win AFCE or else" stuff has little merit. -

I normally cook them on the egg, then throw them in the air fryer for 5-10 minutes once they're done just to make them a little crispy on the outside... but they still get the BGE flavor. Already up! 👍

We should cover this spread fairly easily. The Bills only got better. The Jets are the Jets. Coached by Adam Gase. With an all-new O-line that didn't get to play preseason games to gel. Without their two best defensive players from last year. I only hope that McD doesn't let up when we get up by 10 points like he loves to do. Keep the foot on the throttle. Beat them by 30.

Got 5 pounds of wings to go on the Big Green Egg. Got a couple of neighbors that will be cooking stuff as well. Going to have one big get together. One of my neighbors is a Bills fan, and another, I’ve converted both of his kids into Bills fans 😂😂 the wife will probably be making some Buffalo Chicken dip to go with!

Predict the division winner: NFC South
CLTbills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went with the saints. Bucs are loaded with talent, but talent doesn’t always lead to success on the field. (See: Cleveland, 2019). I think the situation in TB is very different from cleveland (TB has a good coach) but still - with no preseason to even see how the new-look bucs will perform, hard to pick against NO. -
Which Bills did you draft in fantasy?

This exactly why I skipped on singletary. Great player, but just don’t know how many touches he’ll get with Moss in the mix. -

Josh and Diggs. Got both for great value, too. It’s crazy how many people pass on Josh Allen just because he’s Josh Allen. With his running abilities, he’s a great fantasy QB -
I know that it's unlikely due to the number of variables of an NFL season... But I'm with you, OP. For literally the first time in my life, I look at our schedule and there's not a team that I'm "scared of" or that I don't think we can hang with. Are we a better team than KC or SF? No - but I think we can, at the very least, hang with them and give them a hell of a game. In the past, there's always 3-4 games (or more) that you chalk up as automatic losses. Games we have absolutely zero chance of winning. There isn't one game this year that I think we have no chance of winning. Now, that doesn't mean we go 16-0, because it's the NFL. But I think 11-5 or 12-4 is absolutely a reasonable expectation for this team.

Jets Falling Apart Health-Wise Prior To Week 1
CLTbills replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. I just hope McDermott and company have grown past the "shut it down because we have a 10 point lead" nonsense. I truly think we'll see much less of that this year, but that'd be my only concern. I think we're more than capable of beating the Jets by 3 scores. Whether McD will keep his foot on the throttle that long remains to be seen. -
If You Could Take One Bill to Lunch...
CLTbills replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be Tasker. We were, I guess you could say, "family friends" of the Taskers when I was really little - to the point that I really don't remember it at all... So it'd be cool now as an adult, I guess. He and my mom grew up together in Leoti, KS, so he's the reason we became Bills fans in the first place. But like I said, I don't remember the days of meeting the Taskers because I was just so little. -
Thank you for all you do SDS!

The best thing I could recommend if it’s that concerning would be a structural engineer - NOT a general contractor. I hired one when I was having horrible problems with a house we built. After one year we had so many problems with the sub floor that I didn’t trust the builder, and hired a structural engineer on my own dime just for peace of mind (I ended up making them reimburse me because of the issues he found!). I was really impressed. He was able to just walk around and look at things visually and tell me so much about the way the house was settling, etc. Things that were absolutely there, but that I would NEVER have noticed had he not pointed them out. Usually, their evaluations are not invasive. You’re not talking about ripping out drywall. There are other visual cues that they look for that can tell them what’s going on. I would strongly recommend it. I think I paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $650, but it was worth every penny.
