  1. Ugh....... Hope it's no more than 10 mil per. Not impressed with this guy, is he bringing Short and Kuchley with him?
  2. I knew it would be a pipe dream to acquire him. 13.3 mil a year for a guard, 30 guaranteed! No way!
  3. Don't understand all the love for Star, he really isn't all that impressive. Pros: Occupies blockers/ Familiarity with McD and Beane and the system/ Dependable, has only missed 4 games in his career. Cons: No pass rush at all/ No TFLs/ Needs top flight LBs and elite line mate Short) to hide short comings (we don't have those) Rather have Poe who is a better all around player. I'd rather pay him than Star who is an inferior player in comparison. That being said, Star is ok if the price is team friendly.
  4. From what I've seen I always felt Rodgers had better chemistry with Nelson than Cobb.
  5. It really is a double edged sword type of dilemma. In one hand you want a "bridge" stop gap type QB who can mentor the young possible franchise QB you draft while he develops. On the other hand you just made the playoffs and like the taste of it. You don't want to trot out someone who will embarrass your team costing you wins and a possible post season berth at the expense of not rushing the prized jewel.
  6. I'd prefer the Class of 2004. Big Ben: 2 rings Eli: 2 rings Rivers: pro bowls and playoff appearances JP: fond memories
  7. Next you'll tell me to trust some type of "process" or something along those lines.
  8. Who would offer more than a 1 year deal with an option? Cmon, you know he’s staying in NO.
  9. Valid point but Vontae can play the slot effectively if Leonard Johnson isn’t retained and can fill in on the outside when EJ is hurting.
  10. Doubt it but it would be quite the move. Tre, Vontae, EJ, Poyer and Hyde is very impressive.
  11. In this scenario you may have a point. It wouldn't take much for Miami to move up one spot and sweeten it with a future first. Also allows Oak to have a better position at 11 compared to 21. I've been under the impression for so long now that we have to give up 21 and 22 to get our QB. I'll rephrase my original post. If we need to get in the Top 3, Miami doesn't have the ammo to match us?
  12. Agreed, plus they have nowhere near the ammo Buffalo has. They'd have to sell their soul to the devil. No way they can match the Bills and maintain quality picks for the future.
  13. Did you read it? Bills give up their 2019 first rounder and 21 this year to move up to 10. You don’t think that’s enough?
  14. Agree, but you’re giving up 21, 22 and more. I have no idea who Beane and McDermott covet. I like Rosen also but if I can keep 22 and scoop up Mayfield, woohoo! Make no mistake a FA vet will be here. We are not going Mayfield/ Peterson or Rosen/Peterson into the season, are we?
  15. For who? Star? No thanks. To me he’s the Preston Brown of DTs. Durable, serviceable but not so impressive. No pass rush, no penetration, no TFLs. Basically occupys blocks in the hopes someone else cleans up. He doesn’t have Short, Davis or Kuechley here. Poe? Too expensive but would be a much better choice. Having Phillips with KW as a mentor would be ideal.
  16. The down side is waiting and taking the chance of missing out entirely on the QB you want. Looking at this makes one think that the Bills are intent on keeping 21 and 22 until they see Mayfield in play late and make a move not having to mortgage #22.
  17. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/two-round-2018-nfl-mock-draft-browns-still-take-qb-no-1-after-tyrod-taylor-trade/ In short, trade up to #10 with Oakland and grab Baker Mayfield and keep #22. Grab LB Rashaan Evans at #22 Grab DT Harrison Phillips at #53 Grab C Frank Ragnow at #56 ( don't know much about him but I disagree, especially with WR Christian Kirk still on the board) Who wouldn't be happy with this?
  18. I wouldn’t feel too bad about the Browns right now. They have some really good talent in place and primo draft picks up the wazoo. If they draft Barkley and if their OC “Taylor’s” a scheme for Tyrod that maximizes his strengths they will be competitive and possibly be a 6-8 win team in their first year together. Remember, we tried to make Tyrod something he isn’t ( a pocket timing throwing QB). Cleveland if smart won’t do the whole square peg in round hole routine.
  19. My thoughts exactly! You’re not getting Tyrod for a naked turkey sandwich. The days of taking advantage of the Bills organization is over. That being said I’m not opposed to the idea. Only I would not spend a 1st on Rudolph, he should be there at 53. BPA combo of DT, LB or WR at 21 and 22 and Rudolph at 53 would be ideal ( if that’s the plan). Personally I’d rather give a 2nd and 4th for Foles than just buy Bradford.
  20. No way we give up a 1st for Foles in any equation. A 2nd and 3rd this year or a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year should do it. If you're spending more than that spend it on a younger franchise QB like Rosen, Darnold or Mayfield.
