My question about CTE is why all the focus seems to be on football? Ice Hockey on average (Mens and Womens) has an incident rate of .66 per 1000 exposures, which is higher than football. Soccer has an average (Mens and Womens) just below that of American football. Lacrosse and wrestling are close in terms of numbers as well. So my question is why are the reports, and lawsuits around the CTE issue in football predominant? Could it be the popularity and money associated with the game? I hope the guy gets the help he needs. But to put the blame on CTE seems a little reckless in my opinion.

Mike Scopp Hacking it Up on National Radio

I would suggest downloading the Stitcher App. I downloaded it to listen to The Tomahawk Podcast, but if you search Buffalo Bills a ton of Podcasts comes up. Some are less than professional, but like I said, I prefer just about anything to Schoop. At the very least the guys on those Podcasts care enough to watch preseason games. -

Not sure why people listen anymore. Just too much NFL content to choose from to bother with them. Aside from Sal and Howard Simon there is no reason to listen to wgr anymore. On the Schoop issue, and it's been beaten to death, plain and simple he is an elitist. There are a few reasons he liked Lamar Jackson, and none of them had to do with his actual play. I was done with this guy a long time ago, but I refuse to listen after his race fueled Tyrod/Kaepernick rant last year. If you think its part of his "on air personality" youd be wrong. The guy thinks he is above the average fan, and Jeremy White is quickly becoming his clone. -
Mahomes vs Allen deep ball
thenorthremembers replied to Kingston Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's weird when you look this up because every site has a different number for Mahomes. Ourlads has him at 55 to both the left and right, Allen at 62 left and right. Other sites have Mahomes at 59mph, and yet another at 62. -
When did Jags fans become so anti-Bills?
thenorthremembers replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My bad, I started to think about Calais Campbell and the Arizona connection made me think of Peterson, total Brain Slip. Sill, wouldnt mind to have a guy like Yannick Ngakoue or A.J. Bouye. But guy like Bortles, Ramsey, Marrone, Darues, and to a lesser extent Fournette make it easy to dislike them. I also think they slip a bit this year, but we will see i guess. -

100% yes. It starts with their quitter head coach. I know a lot of Bills fans have forgiven and moved on, but there isn't a person in the NFL I detest more than St. Doug. I think the way he left the team was cowardly, and furthermore I feel like the way he handled the questions about the situation last year during the lead up to the playoff game was gutless. There are a few members of the Jaguars organization who I really admire. Coughlin most notably, but I also think guys like Calais Campbell and Patrick Peterson are both players you'd love to have on your team, and not just for their play on the field. -
Brady is the GOAT, and I really don't think its close anymore. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I've always felt like anyone who said differently was blinded by bias. Kelly was a good quarterback but probably is only in the conversation for the top 15 of all time at most.

Felt the same way going into the 17' draft. Regardless of who his Uncle is, Kelly had a lot of good things going for him. Always felt he was a better prospect than guys like Peterman, Dobbs, Beathard, Kaaya etc. I even liked him more than Mahomes who I thought was an absolute tire fire mechanics wise. What hurt Kelly was the injuries on top of shady character history. Those two things together, plus the fact he was admittedly overweight heading into the draft may have shown a lack of discipline. With all that said, he seems to have turned a corner maturity wise. He was a speaker at Kelly's Camp this year and did an incredible job at being humble and admitting he was a good example of how not to be as a person and player. Wish him the best of luck as a player, but more than anything as a person because his story will inspire a lot of young guys.

Need another QB with AJ hurt, but Who?
thenorthremembers replied to Davejr511's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Anderson and Moore played in Daboll's offense in Cleveland and Miami respectively. On the short notice is be surprised if it wasn't one of them, depends on how much they like retirement so far, both are up in age. -
Been having a hard time understanding why they would cut O'Leary. Feel like his lack of reps has more to do with him being locked into a spot, and coaches wanting to see more of Croom, Thomas and Lee to determine who they want to keep as #3 and #4 if the roster calls for it. Sidenote: O'Leary is doing an autograph signing on September 11th, may be a little uncomfortable if he is cut.

He was Travis Henry years old. Kidding, he was 21. No lie.

What I mean is when I watch Darnold I see a guy who dinks and dunks down the field. Rosen, and I didn't watch tonight, looked like the guy I saw in college, slow in the pocket, game manager. Neither seems to have the tools Allen does. Allen looks special. Now, it's two games into the preseason so who knows. Just happier than I thought I'd be with Allen. -

Heads up Baker really likes throwing it number 10 in the middle of the field. -

Sucks to see him hurt but you make more money from an injury settlement than you do being cut. Just saying. -

Baker is a good football player. Hope the next coach likes him enough after Tyrod does just enough to get Hue fired. -

I was on record as not wanting Allen. After watching the rookie Qbs so far no clue how he was still there at #7. I am glad he was. Hopefully I can say that 10 years from now. For what it's worth the TD throw made me laugh out loud. Just incredible. -

Linebackers are a big issue two games now. Better fix it before week 1.
