  1. My faith in the front office, Brady and the offense as a whole is at an all-time low after that presser. I fear that history's debate between which two teams with elite QBs massively wasted their careers will be between River's Chargers and Allen's Bills. It's just criminal at this point.
  2. My main point was that this regular season game against the Cheafs matters far more than previous seasons because a win on Sunday would put us 2.5 games clear of them. Now, in that scenario, it would be improbable (which is what I said earlier) for us to play the Cheafs in the playoffs because (a) they finally have two genuine threats in the AFCW + some other tough opponents and (b) they would be 5-4 after a loss to Buffalo. So on the balance of probabilities, they would be unlikely to be the number one seed and therefore would be a wild card at best. All of our previous playoff meetings with them have been played as a contest between two division winners, so that will probably not be the case this year. So not impossible, but improbable. Especially if we also start as a 5-7 seed - which is NOT improbable given all of our issues + the Pats cupcake schedule.
  3. At this point I would sign up without any hesitation to win the AFCE and get the 3 or 4 seed. Unfortunately, I think we will be a 5-7 seed and suffer a WC exit. The Oliver injury and lack of a deep threat at WR + the Pats getting a franchise QB on a cost controlled contract is just too much to overcome.
  4. The difference this year is that the Chiefs are 5-3 and if we were to beat them on Sunday we would be two games clear of them plus the tie breaker. If that happens we probably wouldn't see them in the playoffs anyway.
  5. I'd be lying if I said that "BT to the Bills would be a real nipple tweaker" was my first thought upon hearing this news. Agree 100% that Beane should start warming up those index fingers and thumbs.
  6. This is arguably the most depressing thread on TBD since the Creed Humphrey and DK Metcalf threads.
  7. The team's confidence is shot and the injuries are piling up. Yes, we are getting two guys back but they will likely be rusty. And one of the worst run defenses in the NFL has to curb arguably the best one-two punch RB department in the NFL. It's going to get worse before it gets better. I anticipate changes are coming in WNY after this one. Panthers.....28 Bills.............24 .
  8. Maybe a coaching indoor pot plant that hasn't been watered for a week.
  9. Yes, I just realised that now. Heck, that - sadly - might be a good thing.
  10. I'm predicting he'll be traded for pennies in the dollar before we have a chance to exercise his fifth year option. Seriously....if Beane fell into a box of nipples, he'd probably come up sucking his thumb. .
  11. Well let's break it down: - they are strong at RB where we are weak defending the run - they have a positive record and are rapidly gaining in confidence whilst our confidence is in the toilet Yeah, all in all I'm about as confident as the Bills. The streak continues. If it results in Pegula thumping the table I'm ok with some short term pain.
  12. How could they be any worse than the dross defence we have produced lately? I'd bring them in by default alone, just to send a clear message that mediocrity will not be tolerated.
  13. They will win the AFCE in a canter. Book it.
  14. 10-7 and a wild card exit. My belief and enthusiasm levels have waned dramatically. Our defensive guru of a HC cannot coach a defence to stop a runny nose. Our OC has gone off the reservation with whacky trick plays and a penchant for keeping our second best player on the bench for too many plays. And our GM couldn't find an offensive weapon in a gun store. It's not happening this year and it won't until Terry Pegula finally wakes up and smells the coffee. .
  15. I was never anti-Davis, but I was against offering him any more than around 3yrs / 24 million. He would be the perfect WR4 / WR5 with what we have now. All this is assuming that Palmer might be missing a few games and that he can prove his match fitness. He might be limited in route running but he would be our only genuine deep threat. Add in his pass blocking and it's a no-brainer for me to get him onto the active roster. In any event, this should not preclude us from grabbing an Olave type WR before the trade deadline.
  16. Without a doubt the greatest politician in the history of global politics. And why is that? Simple - because he's not a politician. A remarkable achievement from a remarkable man. God bless DJT!!
