Random talking head says something about the Bills
SydneyBillsFan replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's okay Pekcer you're not alone - neither are the Bills it would seem. I was going to start a topic about the root cause of the problem - a nice owner who won't fire McBeane until 17 is on crutches and/or retires. What an epic waste of a generational QB. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

With the greatest of respect, this is borderline delusional. We have never looked this bad in the last two years. Herm is saying what most of us are seeing - we looked pedestrian even in our wins. Put us up against an above average team and it exposes our many weaknesses. Yes, we will get players back from injury and suspension. But that will only be a band aid over the gaping wound of roster mismanagement and crimes against a reigning MVP. Beane has failed this QB and it's fanbase. -

Herman is somebody whose views on football I have respected for quite some time. On ESPN Sportscenter he gave the following precis of the Bills post game when asked who he thought they were: "They are capable of beating the teams they should beat and have beaten. But the teams they've lost to are a little bit better than the Buffalo Bills. And you don't want to say that - it's hard for me to say that because I'm a Josh Allen fan. But now I've been watching them, and I'm going 'who scares you when they break the huddle'? It's like ooooh, I don't know. I mean, apart from Josh and Cook, the other guys are good players - but they don't scare you" When asked if he thought they were middle of the pack: "Yeah - because of that guy - Josh Allen! Usually Josh Allen fixes everything for them. It seems like all the time he fixes everything. And they generally play it close when he has the last possession where they can maybe win the game. But now all of a sudden it seems like the run is starting to wear him down" My personal view is that this is a damning indictment on the roster building philosophy of Brandon Beane. Sobering stuff. -

A Few Thoughts about the Pats Game - Post yours as well

Chris Simms take on the game and the Bills weaknesses + the way the Patriots match up is pretty brutal and matter of fact: -
I cannot believe that some people are saying he didn't have a great game. What game were you watching? He had zero turnovers to Josh's two. He made several completions when he was dead to rites. Josh had none of note. Sure, he had Diggs to bail him out but Josh had Kincaid almost as often. That's almost a wash. The AFC East challenge flag has now been thrown. I'm not swapping Josh for anyone but the reality is - this guy is legit, he is here to stay and he will become elite in due course. And you can add a tariff to that whenever he comes up against our soft defense. After two decades of TB12, yesterday was a Bills fans worst nightmare.

Week 5, Cheats v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!
SydneyBillsFan replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
We are clearly not firing on all cylinders. We are yet to produce a consistent four-quarter performance. But as it is a divisional game i do expect a bit of an increase in focus and fundamentals. And hopefully one or both of Milano and Oliver to return. The Pats are not to be trifled with and will probably give us a fright, but will ultimately come up a bit short. Bills...............30 Pats..............27 -

Week 4, Ain'ts v. Bills, PREDICT THE SCORE!

I expect a bounce back from the Saints after last week's embarrassment. They will be competitive. Bills........33 Saints.....20 -
I don't like this. We are yet to win a game this season in blue over white. Damn you New Orleans. Damn you trap games in jinxed uniforms!
-
To be fair they signed on potential and what he might provide in future years - similar to the Ed Oliver 4/68 extension. Oliver has been worth the new contract. Time will tell if Rousseau will do the same. But it hasn't been a great start. I mean heck, if he had say two passes batted and 3 TFLs after three games we would all be reasonably happy. But he hasn't even reached those modest stats. Hopefully the ten day break and subsequent reset will give him the spark he needs.

A funny one from Finheaven: "Just a longer handjob to get to the same moment when Tua stops, gets up, and walks away, leaving us with blue balls and an 0-3 record." -
Ordinarily I would not hesitate to describe Kimmel as an arsehole of epic proportions. However, upon reconsideration, I see no justification in denigrating a part of the human anatomy which, through no fault of its own, is tasked with having to deal with copious amounts of crap whilst having zero say in the matter. His show being cut is a small piece of good news in a bad week.

Expecting 17 to be a little angry and unleash a can of whoop-ass. Also expecting a revved up Miami playing their best game this year But it won't matter. Bills...........30 Dolphins...20 -
Remembering Charlie Kirk
SydneyBillsFan replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Just to clarify: This is about five miles from my home and to be honest it was, first and foremost, an anti-immigration, Australian patriot, pro-conservative protest. I went to the one three weeks ago but couldn't make it to this one. These were held Australia wide. But you can bet your bottom dollar that the majority of these people are Christians and most would have been deeply saddened about what happened in Utah. There was also a candlelit vigil specifically for Charlie in Sydney last night with about 1000 people there - if I can a pic I'll post it here. -
