  1. I suspect that, due to cap limitations, he will wait until he spots a FA bargain - possibly after the draft. Would not surprise me at all to see a big name free agent signed if the price is right. I think he has done the right thing in getting key free agents early in the two most deficient positions on the roster - OG and WR. Whether or not they will make a valuable contribution is another matter.
  2. Yeah, let's get him in so that he and Shaq can finish what they started...
  3. Beane got a 3rd for Tyrod and a 5th for Ford. He'd be even money to get a pick for Isaiah IMO.
  4. He looked powerful enough to me when he got the game winning first down v Miami, carried 4 guys on his back for 10 yards if I recall correctly. The guy is all heart and team first. If you can get him back for 3 yrs 9 mil I would do it no hesitation. Running back is not the issue, it's the soft as butter O-line with all the push of a box jellyfish. Beef up the line and watch Cook / Motor / Hines go to work.
  5. Twelve months ago I'd have endorsed this take, but I am in a holding pattern on Beane's drafting this time around. And I was a big fan of his from day one. He needs to assist his QB by dramatically improving the OL (McGovern is NOT enough) and then arming him with proper skill position threats. Above all else - he needs to get value out of his draft picks next month, which he has failed to do the last two drafts. If he can do this, I will be back to driving the Beane bandwagon.
  6. If they weren't horrible they weren't far from it. We had at least 2 if not 3 turnstiles for good chunks of games. I don't give a flying rats clacker about WR or LB - get me a blue chip IOL and a RT.
  7. I hope a medical assessment was part of the decision to make him an offer. Otherwise, it's good to have the band back for one last tour!
  8. Dammit, I just paid a fortune for those 150,00 milk cartons.
  9. Going by the shirt, his alma mater must have been Cheech & Chong University
  10. The other thing I've noticed with Renfro is that he has very good hands...I recall him reeling in some badly off-target throws from the overrated Carr, caught some balls literally inches off the ground or behind him. If you could get him on the cheap then that would be a great asset for Josh.
  11. Yeah, no *hit Dianna. As opposed to "we will pick up the phone and use it to vacuum the sofa"
  12. I think they worked out he makes $587.50 per ball revolution* * Source: www.imadeitup.com
  13. I am relieved. Get another MLB for 10mil per and put the difference into an OG, WR or S.
  14. Not scared of a guy who Josh reserves his best for. Man....what an epic blunder it was calling Josh trash, he's going to pay a sufferance tax until he retires.
  15. ....and then puked in the Colts end zone!
  16. Golladay and Anderson if they come cheap would be interesting.
  17. Great news - do we get a comp pick?
  18. He must get the benefit of a second year. It's only fair to assume that there will be natural improvement in his second year. Which leads to the main point of this thread - fix the bloody O-line and the offense will improve by default!
  19. Isn't that him next to Morse in the widescreen shot?
  20. I suspect almost nobody here got the ESPN coverage of the Superbowl. It is something that I believe they do exclusively for their Australian & NZ audience. So...immediately after the game, Louis Riddick's first monologue was as follows: This victory started after the SB loss to Tampa. Chief's GM Brett Veach, as soon as that game was over, on the bus ride out of the stadium, thought to himself and then turned to Andy Reid and said "I will fix this O-Line. That will not happen to us again. We will not have our QB under duress like that ever again, if I can help it" And then immediately he went to work. He went out and signed Joe Thuney, he drafted Creed Humphrey, they got Orlando Brown, got Trey Smith. And the result?- to lose Tyreek hill, lose CEH on on IR, and draft a RB in the 7th - get out of here! Your move Beane.
  21. 17mil per is still WAY too much for what he brings. All-Pro Milano is on 11mil per. Is Tre a 54% better or more valuable player than Milano? No sale Gooner!
  22. I just pray that she makes a full recovery - or close as possible to it
