  1. All do respect and the respect he gets around the league does not = production. but thats just me
  2. This is so wrong on top of wrong, I don't even know where to start. I think HBF said it the best.
  3. again your off topic. we are just discussing drafts. why is this so hard for you?
  4. so many holes? Most of the holes you are referring to are not holes, just upgrades needed. As a whole, this team is in a better place with this GM. but the holes you are referring to is not the topic at hand. The topic at hand is how good he has drafted the last 4 years. lets not loose sight of that.
  5. Darn. Must of felt good for those bones to sit on that bench.
  6. really? many times scouting teams stay with the next GM.. Do you have a clue at all with how things work? your right I cherry picked a couple things.. FOR GOOD REASON!!!! JGMcD2 put it best in the quote below but to be honest I am not sure you have a high understanding of how the process worked and the situation McD was put in. Whaley was never favored out until after the draft. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/04/nfl-bills-fire-doug-whaley-terry-pegula-draft-sean-mcdermott quoted in this article OK, so who handled the draft? Another tough one to answer. Team owner Terry Pegula says it was Whaley, but several outlets are reporting that head coach Sean McDermott was pulling the strings. sorry I trust Terry before I trust any other outlet. Terry had 0 reason to lie these are facts folks. https://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/04/nfl-bills-fire-doug-whaley-terry-pegula-draft-sean-mcdermott says it all
  7. K so I am going to show you the drop off of why I want a top 2 Rb and no later. I am not saying his is horrible.. Keep this in mind.. he has good upside. But. Just look at the drop off and because of this crazy year we will go Average per game in yards and Average per play. And again. to be fair. We are going to go back to there best healthy year for a solid look at each player. Etienne 2019 15 games. Rushing 107.6 yards a game at 7.8 avg with a total of 1614 yards. Receiving 434 yards averaged 11.7 a play http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/combine/_/id/220471/travis-etienne Harris 2020 13 games Rushing 112.7 yards a game at 5.8 total avg with a total of 1466 yards. Receiving 425 yards 9.9 a play http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/combine/_/id/203572/najee-harris Hill 2019 13 games Rushing 103.8 yards a game at 5.6 avg with a total of 1350 yards. Receiving 180 yards 10.0 a play. What your missing about Hill that your not understanding is Hill does not have great break away speed. sound familiar. http://www.espn.com/college-sports/football/recruiting/player/combine/_/id/210461/kylin-hill Harris Speed without Harris Power running. There are oh so slight differences that tell a big story. https://draftlordsports.com/nfl-draft/2021-nfl-draft-positional-rankings/2021-nfl-draft-prospects-running-backs/#Najee-Harris they have him at #6. 5-6 is fair. Bottom line we all have opinions and you don't have to "feel bad" that mine differs.....
  8. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2706882-bills-reportedly-fire-entire-scouting-staff-in-addition-to-doug-whaley So the entire scouting team gets kicked to the curb with Whaley. Now while they did a decent job in 2017 -Zay Jones and Peterman... (how dare I bring up that name) This Link SLAMS Whaley for bad decision making https://us.blastingnews.com/sports/2016/12/doug-whaley-a-look-at-every-pick-from-the-buffalo-bills-gm-001360789.html while I do not 100% agree with the last link, most of the content is spot on. And again... There was a reason why the GM and his entire scout staff is gone... at the same time
  9. I will start looking YoloinOhio then link in OP that would be great. Thank you sir. Funny, This just came out today. Does this help? Link on OP for now. And thanks for understanding. https://www.turfshowtimes.com/2021/3/5/22316340/2021-nfl-cuts-tracker
  10. I know this time of year is slow but we really need an around the NFL section for the boards
  11. we are not talking about potential. please don't switch what OP is talking about.. Its what they are doing now. Our picks are better. I skipped out on players that are in and out players that only have so many snaps a game. I feel my post was spot on I will stand by it. Josh has the potential to be better then Mahomes if you want to talk potential...
  12. then Eye this out. Tyreek Hill- 5th round draft pick. No one expected Hill to be what he is today Travis Kelce was 2013. Eric Fisher T drafted 2013 Chris Jones Drafted DT 2016 great pick Frank Clark DE Drafted 2015 Tyrann Mathieu 2013 And you have Mahomes.. We wont get into that conversation again. But these are there core stars? right? There PB selections? are any of these the last 4 years? So lets take a closer look at your "eye test". I am going to post the picks and where they are at from the last 4 years? Cause that's what OP said. 2017 They have Mahomes Tanoh Kpassagnon had one sack last year with 28 combined tackles. Kareem Hunt is in Clev. a product of an amazing running team. the rest are producing very little or not even in KC 2018 Speaks has shown 0 Nnadi turning out to be solid DT After this other then there ST returner Smith there is nothing goonzd 2019 Hardman has been a solid WR. Thornhil represents a solid S The rest backups or zero's 2020 Helair IS a decent at best RB and a product of an amazing passing offense The rest are back up, rotational or zero players. Other then Mahomes... please for the love of god tell me how KC has done better then us drafting the last 4 years? Key words FOUR YEARS BIG PICTURE we have done better
  13. YoloinOhio IS it possible to add a list on your main post of where we at so we don't have to go through 18 pages plus to figure out everything?
  14. Simms got a lot of visits and replies on this topic Simms likes getting attention
  15. First of all.. We can or should all agree, no matter how many stats, graphics, videos and analytics are shoved towards a recruiting team then the gm, the draft is still rolling the dice. Drop crystal Ball stuff out of your heads, get the "I could of done better ism" out of your heads and just pay attention to one thing. We got solid draft picks that have worked out at a better rate then many teams. Yep you were right about one player that year but got others wrong. none of that matters. All that matters is that our draft picks as a whole. In general... are working out better then other teams. As a whole. OP did a good job here making us look at the big picture. GG and you might of said it better then what I just posted.
  16. Soooo I don't know if anyone follows @nflrums or not but he has lots of close contact some how with a lot of these teams and Is usually spot on
  17. This is to much silliness for more. both phrases basically mean the same thing and the thread is being hijacked over this stupid stuff. who gives a crap if i said McCoy has never one to be afraid or back down on anything or McCoy has never one to be afraid to back down on anything Hes never been afraid to back down. Just being afraid has nothing to do with what I am saying. I am done with this stupid paraphrasing breakdown. McCoy has never been afraid to back down on anything. I stand by that.. Moving on.. people can reply for them selves on there own stuff without others making something out of nothing I like to call it unneeded drama.
  18. so you saying he is not a top 5 QB is your opinion of him. He was putting up MVP numbers before his injury and it was not close. Prescot in first 5 games before injury here we go. Prescot----Comp. 68% Yards 1856 9 TD Mahomes--Comp. 64% Yards 1705 10 TD Rodgers ---Comp. 76.9% Yards 1199 15 TD Prescot was in the conversation near or at top before injury for MVP. Naming top 5 QB in this league is hard its best done in tiers. All this info I am giving is subjective and crystal ball stuff right now.. but what Prescot did those first 5 games? crazy
  19. High Wonderlic does not mean a lot. many low scorers are great QB's yes I forgot he said that, great point.
