  1. I don't get how this keeps coming up..... Beane said he inquired about his availability just like any good GM would do if a great player became available. From what came out after, there wasn't even a deal in place. As for the actual poll. I love the culture, I think the roster is getting better. It just seemed like last year at times, they weren't letting Josh Allen be Josh Allen. I think this off-season and season is going to be a huge tell of McDermott and Co.
  2. You have the most odd takes on players and desires of a football team I've ever witnessed.
  3. Oh, I'm aware, it was more of a joke with the NewEra... he said he was always hurt a few times in his post. Edit: the "he was always hurt" comments were about Joseph, not Dugger
  4. I know, I wasn't saying that to castrate Poyer by any stretch. I just think that we can get better with depth here. If we can spell, maybe Poyer is more healthy and doesn't get dragged? Who knows. I don't think any one should be judged on that game.
  5. So what does "carry a team" mean, like you mentioned in your other post? Isn't that like saying they could take a team to a championship? Henry did it because he's a monster and their o-line was playing lights out, as was their defense. RB's (especially pass-catching RB's) can NOT carry a team. It's literally..... never happened. I don't want to give up any amount of 1/2nd round picks for someone that couldn't "carry" us. There are very few players. Mack--- who they traded 2 1st for got them to the playoffs his first year........ last year... they didn't make the play offs now they have no first or second round picks... it's just a VERY slippery slope.
  6. I'm also.... just not sold on this guy or YGM .... I feel like they're highly rated because of how weak the draft class is at this position. I don't want us to draft the best of a bad bunch, if that makes sense.
  7. Nah, I didn't miss that. The point of this thread is also not about offense.. maybe you also missed that. It's clear the strength of this team is the defense. Why not keep it that way while the offense is developing? Making tackles in critical situations was definitely a weakness of the unit (on more than one occasion).... maybe.... you missed that my guy.
  8. This especially with his size and tenacity.. He could play 1st and second down..... I think he'd be a HUGE upgrade over Marlowe/ Neal/ Johnson..... Must have missed Poyer being dragged 15 yards and Milano / Neal missing tackles on Watson.
  9. I don’t disagree. I think they’re going to fall in love with his versatility. he can play big in the box and can play man high(albeit not as good as Poyer). I’d love to see what Karl Joseph’s market value is.
  10. I was just browsing through free agents coming up here and I was surprised to see his name. I would love it if he Bills looked hard at Karl Joseph, especially with Poyer contract situation and how he seemingly wants to get paid. Joseph was a first round pick a few years ago by an older regime, he's 5'10, 200 pounds and can play that hybrid in the box safety McD loves. Our tackling last year was not spectacular and I think Joseph can help upgrade here. I don't think he was put in the best situation in Oak and these are the type of guys McBeane feast on. Beyond Poyer and Hyde, we really only have Johnson and Marlowe so we can definitely upgrade there. According to Spotrac, his AAV is 6 mill per. I think our depth in the secondary will be a focal point in FA's / trades (I'd love if we finagled Josh Jackson from GB for a mid- late round pick).
  11. so you compared the ineffectiveness of a historic RB season by comparing it to another historically great RB that won nothing?
  12. Not a receiving back. Derrick Henry is literally the polar opposite of CMC. I live in Charlotte and love CMC but isn't he proof that RB's don't win you games? He had a historic year and they won 5 games.
  13. LOL ... I don't know where you get that sentiment. .I think the Josh love/hate is pretty even.
  14. Their out of division / conference record was better than division record (if I remember what I saw correctly) Controversial/ unpopular opinion: If the Bills had Marino instead of Kelly, we win at least two superbowls.
  15. AGG did not look smooth at all in the routes either, to be fair. Jefferson as well. I don't get why people have stopped talking about him. I still think Jefferson is 1st round pick. Mims' 40 yesterday was extremely impressive too. I didn't realize he can move like that.
  16. Yeah Belicheck is a scam too man.. He was a HORRIBLE football player.
  17. LOL Lee Smith on the field.
  18. JuJu Smith- Schuster... He's 21 I believe still.
  19. Larry Centers was probably the best fullback we've ever had and he was only here for a year.
  20. I'd rather trade for Josh Jackson in GB. He played a ton and was good as a rookie and his role diminished last year as Pettine implemented more man coverage. I think Jackson can be a stud in Buffalo.
  21. Josh Jackson would be a low risk, high reward type of trade. He was a second round pick and was mocked here quite a bit. I could see him fitting in more with McD's defense over a Pettine type. This is exactly the type of player that this regime seemingly targets and does well with: players drafted high, may be in a wrong situation, and find a way to utilize their talent.
  22. I get he's not your favorite. Your reasons why he isn't your favorite, should kind of make you like him more for the Bills, specifically. -Run after catch ability. -Best player on his team-- coach wants the ball in his hand -Plays multiple positions-- Bills love players like this. -Deep threat that can make contested catches-- something we missed. He's not my favorite either.. I really like Jefferson's game, however, if we landed him.... it'd be a good get.
  23. Yeah, there are mysteriously men in black suits and ref hats that can run onto the field and tell the refs which rules they can bend to keep it a game.
