Yeah i've never understood the fascination with our teams and trying to move good tackles to guard. People wanted to do it with Glenn too. It makes no sense. Spain and Feliciano are really jelling with Morse, yet people want Ford to play G? It is REALLY baffling to me.

Rational Thoughts After Playoff Clinching Win
warrior9 replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes this... sometimes it's to get an LB out of the box.. Or it's to get another LB on the field for the defense to take a CB off the field. -
Nobody in the NFL was catching that ball. Peters literally had perfect coverage and his hand was on the ball before it got to the receiver. It was a great defensive play. Duke Williams is NOT making that catch.

Revisiting my Allen scouting report

I mean, "hardly changing speeds" -- one speed thrower, pretty synonymous since as you pointed out, no one throws the same speed for every throw. Didn't know you would take that super literal. So do you want him to throw 30 mph floaters? If throwing bullets isn't a bad thing, I'm trying to figure out your vantage point on his speed in all honesty. I just don't see his speed as an issue.... really at all. -
Revisiting my Allen scouting report

Right, your OP just points out he's a one speed thrower. I'm not suggesting you haven't mentioned he's improved. I don't think those are as out of the norm as you think. If you watch him throw to Bease, or McKenzie, or Brown on crossing routes, he's throwing VERY catchable balls. Even the ball that Knox dropped in his hand, wasn't a bullet. The screen to Singletary was not either. I don't think it's an issue. Last year, I saw it as 100% the issue. I think as Josh gets more playing time and the game "slows down" he's going to keep improving in this aspect. He's really only 3-4 years removed from JUCO -

I tend to disagree that Josh only throws at one speed... this year. He's improved a ton on that but uses his arm strength when need be. Example being the drop between cover two against Miami when he threw a ball to JB for a TD and my jaw dropped at the velocity he put on that thing. Example of the contrary is his crossing route to Duke (i can't remember which game) when he floated it over the defender and placed in perfectly... He's NOT making that throw last year. Many of his throws to Beas(in the short game) seem to be fixated on a strength to get him the ball, not bullets. Even if you look at last week.. the ball that Knox brought in with 1 hand and the ball to Beas down the sideline on the run (that was an INCREDIBLE throw, btw), those throws had arch, spin, and dropped perfectly and were not ropes. Accuracy not withstanding, I believe he has progressed tremendously on varying his throwing power. -
And Baltimore never won in Buffalo before last weekend.

Joe B All-22 vs Baltimore from The Athletic
warrior9 replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No receiver is making that catch. That was absolutely picture perfect coverage. Was truly a great play by Peters. If I had to guess, that was a pre-determined throw from Daboll to get Brown one-on-one on the inside post. Josh looked no where else. We went to Brown at the end of the Cleveland game too. I would like Knox to get to the point where we have him flanked out on a slant on 3/4th down and 6+ to rely on. He is so athletic and such a physical freak. We just need him to become more sure handed. -
Fans and Players: We need to protect QB's more NFL: Low hits on the QB in the pocket are a penalty NFL: High hits on the QB are a penalty (I think these are called and enforced very well tbh) Now players: When the QB is out of the pocket, they shouldn't hit his legs. wait, what? where do we tackle them?

I would love to get Joe Brady on our staff as a passing game coordinator or someone to assist Daboll. He's the LSU passing game coordinator and worked with Sean Peyton for years as well. -
I can't find a link of the pass but it was the EXACT same play the Bills ran against the Cowboys. Inside hand off on a sweep initially, pitch to WR, guard and QB Blocking, throw to a RB on the wheel. The last few years, it would have been crazy to think that someone is stealing OUR offensive plays.

Yepp. Yesterday, he was the player we expected him to be when we drafted him in the first round. Side line to side line, filling hard, better in coverage. He was great.

I love the combo on Kirk Herbstreit and Chris Fowler.... I wish they would do NFL to be honest. -
Yeah, I guess fire him if all you hired him for was to beat OSU. I'd definitely fire a 73% winning coach... for sure.
-
He's 47-17 in his time there.......... I dont think they previous 2 coaches had that many wins combined. Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if the Panthers went young with Kevin Stefanski from Minne or Saleh from 49ers

For 5 seconds? That's an eternity. lol

Isn't this true for 99.99% of QBs? lol

I can't help but feel a little bad for Kyle Williams.

Sorry for being ridiculous in hoping that we won more like this when Kyle was here =( -
