Week 14: Steelers at Bills on SNF
Stank_Nasty replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Foxworth takes jackson. Which is no surprise because he’s absolutely idiotic about Allen. Clark takes Jackson but says Allen is right there and makes it a very hard choice. Desmond Howard takes Allen based on things that actually make sense like size, upside and actual 2020 production. Ya. They don’t rip Allen when they get to speak. They were just getting a kick out of how fired up he was. -

Pure gold. I saw this yesterday morning. It’s great. Kiper on FULL send....actually probably not even full send because it looks like he’s about to blow a gasket if it weren’t for being on TV. I remember a clip with him and 3 others, including Todd Mcshay, on NFL live in the spring before the 2019 season. The cast was asked who could be the most successful out of that 2018 class after their rookie years and Kiper fought for Allen. They all literally laughed right at him on television. He can be sort of a douche but he has pounded the table for Allen since day one. -

Right. I’ve had a comfortable cool mornings tailgating and then walked out of that stadium with wind burn on my whole face. -
“Chris Simms: Unbuttoned” a MUST watch IMO

You’re probably right. But the fact that they had a ranking of the #5 yardage d and #10 points allowed, points to them being consistently good most of the year. I’d also prefer not to look at just one game. So those rankings say a lot more than the rams game IMO. -

I agree. I was more referencing quality of opponent there. But ya. It was ugly. -

Nah. It was the jets twice, and then the chargers and niners.... and for all the knob slobbing the niners got all of last week I would argue we could consider that a quality win as well. it’s funny to me all the love that team got and the minute the bills went in there and molly whopped them the niners are no longer any good. “The bills don’t stand a chance against Shanahan and Salah! There’s no way they can hold up against that LEGENDARY run scheme and mostert! How will they ever tackle Deebo!” .... bills win. Moments later.... “Welp the niners suck” -

Well he was slightly off there. It’s 5 of our 9 wins are against teams at .500 or better. But find me a team with 5 wins of better quality. Also we don’t have a “bad” loss on our record. -

This is it right here. I’ve said this 10 times already in the last 2 days since Johnson started this crusade on his morning radio show. Find me a team with 5 wins better than Rams, Seahawks, Fins, Raiders, and Pats. This would be a HUGE win. But to act like the Bills havnt already proven they can beat good teams consistently is laughable. -

What this isn’t showing is how pathetically Keyshawn went about explaining away every single quality win they had. He goes down the list. Beat the rams but it was early. Beat Seattle but they don’t travel well. Beat the raiders but they’re streaky. And then he didn’t even mention the 8-4 fins. it was so ridiculous I was honestly laughing out loud in my office as I had it on in the background -

Man, he just does a great job of helping the average fan understand ball. I really enjoy his stuff. -
So I’ve grown to love this dudes breakdowns and this is such an interesting one that I thought it deserved its own thread. Simms hasn’t been shy for 2 years now about being high on Allen, McDermott and the Bills. But what I find refreshing is that he pulls no punches with them or anyone else. Perfect evidence of that is him ripping our defense on a weekly basis in the middle of the season. Anyways... I thought this was just an awesome breakdown of the game and our coaches. I just really love the guys work. I know a couple others like @Hapless Bills Fan enjoy him as well. -first 15 min he breaks down Allen’s play and a couple of specific plays highlighting Dabolls creativity. -16:00 mark he starts in about the defense and how much more healthy and aggressive they have looked. Calls McDermott a “Code cracker” when it comes to planning for specific weekly challenges. -Ends by talking about how he was disappointed with the team by mid season and considered them a one and done but with the emergence of the defense he thinks they are legit Super Bowl threats. ENJOY! I think there are some fun discussion points in this.

My thing is, Keyshawn has now, on 2 different shows, in the last 2 days doubled down on them not playing anyone. I challenge anyone to find 5 wins on any team that stack up with Fins, Rams, raiders, Seahawks, and pats. I doubt you find any. -

Here’s Warner today. Or maybe yesterday. Funniest thing I saw today was on NFL live Keyshawn Johnson said the bills havnt had a signature win yet this year WHILE he’s staring at their schedule commenting on their wins over contenders. He acknowledges that the bills: -Beat the rams but it was too early in the year to care -beat the Seahawks but they don’t travel well -raiders are streaky - and he conveniently left out the 8-4 fins so Orlovsky fires back about how they‘ve beaten 6 playoff caliber teams. How could they possibly not have a statement win? Keyshawn just doubled down screaming about how it was too early in the year too care about half those games and hat they were a lucky strip away from losing to the pats. Mind you this was after a segment where Keyshawn spent 2 minutes explaining how all cam Newton does is win and that his dreadful stats don’t matter.... YIKES -
PFF ranks Josh as 6th best QB in week 13.
Stank_Nasty replied to custcarcen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They have him ranked as their 6th or 7th qb through the year. They’ve actually been pretty fair to him all season. There were some huge qb performances this weekend. There’s been plenty of times to be annoyed with PFF. This really isn’t one of them. -

This is a good cut up of Nation media cut ups and what their saying about the bills heading into sunday night. Nick wright with a gem to start it off. LOLOL..... and then i love the fact, that at the end of the whole thing, they show Chris Canty on "get up" as the ONE person i've seen over the last month reference the strength of our wins and the quality teams we've lost to as his lead up to us having a gripe as AFC squad #2. He's the anti-keyshawn johnson. What the National Media is saying about Josh Allen | Buffalo Bills | NFL - YouTube -

Josh Allen Surpasses Russell Wilson in MVP Odds
Stank_Nasty replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i agree with all this. and i dont even think a stinker would take mahomes out of it. it would basically take stinker and an untimely loss and Allen going completely white hot and undefeated the rest of the season. and he would have to do it with flash and pad it with some rushing stats.... thats really not his game this year, but i'm ok with that. -
Chris and Mike, nice long take on Bills & Win
Stank_Nasty replied to foreboding's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hahahaha! i didnt see monsons response to this until just now. i was literally about to type that HE NEEDS TO SIGN THE FORM! Monson has really come around. He still is the first to point out that allen can make some head scratchers but he's been on board since the end of sept. -

i agree with this. BUT... if he just so happens to torch another top 5 d while beating an 11-1 team, i think maybe you'd here verrrryyyy faint whispers. especially in primetime and if it came with one of his classic rushing performances on top of a solid passing day. -

I know theres some people that love the DVOA stat around here. So here's a nice tid bit from Fairburn on "the athletic". The fact that the defense has crept up to an average ranking after such a horrendous start says a ton about how they've played over the last 6 or 7 games. Fun to see. 7. The Bills are now ninth in total DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. They finished the 2019 season ranked 12th in DVOA. They have the sixth-highest Super Bowl odds in the league, according to Football Outsiders, winning the Super Bowl in 10.5 percent of simulations. According to DVOA, the Bills have the No. 7 offense, No. 16 defense and No. 5 special teams units in the NFL. Even the analytics are coming around on these Bills.
