  1. i disagree. at his worst 4? i love Allen but thats a bit homer-ish.... i think he's in the 4-7 range but i have no problems with somebody saying he's probably 7-8 and need to see more. I personally need to see some good playoff football before i can definitively say he's elite. And IMO thats completely fair. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
  2. Jones spent a couple of minutes talking about how bad his pocket presence is. Thats absolutely insane. i've been blown away at how he evades pressure with small movements this year and manages a pocket. And blaming race on Taylor vs Allen is just a lazy take. Tyrod was a veteran in regression. There was nothing left there. Comparing a year 2 Allen to a year 6 or 7 taylor is stupid.... honestly the dude needs to take a hard look in the mirror when it comes to his race issues. Or, at the very least, only bring it up when it actually makes sense. We all know its still an issue. But claiming it around every corner just diminishes his message. Whats odd is after all of his Allen "hate" yesterday and through the season.... he admits he's been a top 10 qb this year and even as high as 7 or 8.... So im inclined to believe he quite literally only blasts him to get mentions and attention.
  3. hmmm.... you'll have to excuse me if i get a bit irritated when a progressive network decides it ok to employ multiple individuals saying white Bills fans only like Allen because they're racist. Earlier in the year, just after Allen got named player of the month, he literally said the only reason Allen is getting hyped is because us white fans dont like the what "color" is making up the top of the qb lists nowadays...... HE EARNED PLAYER OF THE FRIGGIN MONTH. I'd rather not have to satisfy any itch. I'd rather the itch not be there at all. there's no room for that sort of trash.
  4. I agree. They very well could lose any given week(its the NFL), but i highly doubt its from lack of prep and not taking a team seriously. It just feels like a team of cold blooded killers at this point.... I think it might be easy for players to buy into that when you see it in your top dog(Allen) week to week and play to play.
  5. its funny because just today, as i was lurking over on that board, i was listening to nfl radio where solomon wilcotts talked about allen for 10 minutes and how he's elite now. and then listened to a podcast from "the athletic" about Allens ability when he leaves the structure of a designed play..... but ya... system qb
  6. I see you over there at the orange mane going to battle with that fool.... He very conveniently has left out the 3 games this year where allen was on full send vs top 5 d's like the fins, rams and niners. good luck, bro.
  7. i agree with him but its not as if the stillers didnt get their breaks. knox gift wrapped a fumble and then 2 plays later poyer punches it out and they recover it. goes both ways IMO.
  8. We’ve paid our dues. I don’t feel for any other fan base.... especially one that’s won 3 Super Bowls in the last 25 years Right. That’s what I said up stream. We see analysts on a weekly basis breaking down a handful of plays from Allen that only a handful of qb’s can pull off. Does the “system” include hitching the team to your back for the first half of the season as they struggled to run the ball and stop anyone on defense?
  9. its pretty crazy. there are some STRONG feelings on him in there. some of them look like a toddler throwing a tantrum stomping, closing their eyes, and plugging there ears and just screaming at the notion that he is what we all KNOW he is, and they missed on the guy.
  10. I get it. we can lose. but i'm not gonna pump up an awful offense because of one good game vs a below average D. With what our Defense has done against actual good offenses, i fully expect them to handle business this week.
  11. the broncos went into that game ranked 32 in offensive DVOA. its a very bad offense.
  12. I dont think so. He didnt just chalk up any fans good talk about Allen to white supremacy ..... so he deserves some credit for that i suppose
  13. they have a whole Josh Allen thread over at the orange mane. And here’s a gem from a dude that clearly has the feel of a complete know-it-all. https://www.orangemane.com/forum/orange-mane-discussion/orange-mane-central-discussion/2720603-josh-allen/page10 “Lol - after watching the whole game.Josh Allen is a product of great team football. Keep in mind Bills had a pick 6 so that offense scored 20.Here is his stat line24/43 - 55.8%238 Yards5.5 YPA2 TD1 Int77.4 QBRDiggs accounted for 55% of his yards.Allen has greatly improved in his short throw accuracy. The way the Bills OC is able to attack the defense with 1 player (Diggs) all over the field reminds me of how the Patriots scheme (Brandon Marshall, Brandon Lloyd for example)...and what do you know Daboll has experience in NE.Let me be clear - Allen is not a QB that is even close to elite. He is playing GREAT within the system, and Bills overall team is playing well.I wish Broncos were healthy so Fangio could expose Allen for his true colors - as he did last year when Allen only completed 15 passes vs Den.Josh Allen is playing well but he's 100% overhyped.Anyone who thinks Allen is elite or even close to (right now) - doesn't know what they're watching.Bills scored 20 points on offense - if Steelers offense produced no one would be talking about how good Allen is.” .... YIKES. Allen makes plays and throws weekly that only a handful of players can make, that have nothin to do with a “system”. Does the thin air in Denver have an affect on brain cells? And then he uses the Broncos game last year to bolster his argument? Josh completely broke their backs with his scrambles outside of “the system” last year while passing for over 200 yds and 2td and then McDermott completely gearing down the offense with 10 full min left in that game. Did Allen even throw a pass after he torched Harris for that bomb at the 11 or 12 min mark? Also as I’m making this post I’m listening to Solomon Wilcotts on NFL radio talk about how Allen is an elite Qb. So that’s sort of funny.
  14. SOS is over .500 even with the jets contributing 0-26 to it. its been a hell of a run so far.
  15. I have no beef with calling the Steelers a good squad. Were they 11-0 good? again, look at the list of qb's. Real good team aided by an even easier schedule.
  16. Been playing some heavy hitters and showing up. Here's a bit from Mike sando's weekly roundup on "The Athletic" The Bills have a really good record against highly ranked defenses. With the Bills facing the Steelers, I went through their games during Allen’s nearly three seasons as the starter to see how they’ve fared against top defenses in general. Each defense from 2018, 2019 and 2020 was ranked No. 1 through No. 32 in EPA per game, with games against Buffalo excluded from the calculations to avoid biasing the rankings. The Allen-led Bills are 7-3 against top-five defenses over the past three seasons, including 4-0 this season after beating the Los Angeles Rams (No. 1), Steelers (No. 2), Miami Dolphins (No. 4) and San Francisco 49ers (No. 5). Allen had 14 touchdown passes with two interceptions and four total turnovers in those games. He averaged 8.9 yards per pass attempt, 0.39 EPA per attempt and 335 yards per game against those teams, with a 121.8 passer rating. After neither offense accomplished much in the first half Sunday, Allen completed 14 of 20 passes for 162 yards and two touchdowns to close out the Steelers, twice converting on longer than third-and-10. ..... Stank
  17. right and they were one and done. also i'd have to back and look but i doubt our slate of qb's was anything as bad as the luxury schedule PITT has had. They have face a startling amount of backups.
  18. pretending certain strengths or weaknesses, such as facing a full slate of backup qb's, doesnt play a larger role than other factors is silly. they arent all weighted the same. i get it though. i live around a ton of "stiller" fans and they've been doing the mental gymnastics after every lackluster game vs a backup qb to convince themselves they were as good as their record. so this convo is nothing i'm not used to.
  19. Look at that list of qb's i put up and act like it hasnt been a huge factor in your teams win/loss totals? seriously man. The steelers have been a good team. they have also had the sorriest slate of teams to play that i can remember. That list of qb's is horrid. They are literally drawing backup qb's almost on a weekly basis. You can pretend thats not a huge factor, but you would be wrong.
  20. jones-garbage driscal-backup wentz-backup gilbert-backup lutton-backup burrow-rookie griffin/mcsorely-backup smith-backup LOOK AT THAT LIST. they've played 4 solid qb's, watson, mayfield, tanny, jackson. darnold newton mullens herbert-rookie, but a top ten offense. i'll let you have him though. now lets look at the others we've played Fitz-win goff-win carr-win tanny mahomes murray wilson-win Ben-win you can go ahead and sit down, please. your team has played the sorriest list of qb's in recent memory.
  21. His "progress" coming coming off a 2019 in which his trajectory was evident is expected. Maybe not quite to this degree, but it wasnt a stretch for plenty of people around here that he'd be a top ten qb you didnt see it. thats on you.
  22. solid points.... you dont have to worry too much though. you get to go back to playing yet another backup qb this week. so that'll be business as usual there.
