  1. Cooper is better than Hopkins, two years younger and cost us next to nothing on the cap. Sounds like Tennessee is eating half of Hopkins prorated cap, which leaves about 2.6M the Chiefs have to take on, compared to 800K for Cooper. Better player, younger player, 2M cheaper this year = a 3rd vs the 5th KC gave up. It's also likely an audition for Cooper to get a 1-2 year extension with us, whereas Hopkins would be a straight rental. Not to say he won't re-sign with KC this off-season, but Hopkins is at the mercenary portion of his career. Cooper could still have a multi-year deal left in him if the money/fit is right.
  2. We didn't pay hardly anything for Amari Cooper aside from a draft pick... Beane is a very good GM, but players like Hines and Samuel... niche players that our revolving door of OC's want, yet we don't seem to know how to use is a valid criticism of the FO.
  3. The Curtis Samuel signing truly looks horrific and it's only magnified by the Ravens signing of Henry for the same money. I'm willing to let it play out, because A) Henry could fade as the season goes on and B) Samuel could get healthy and do some damage as WR4/5 But, ugh... as of right now, Baltimore signing Henry and Buffalo signing Samuel looks to be the difference between the two teams. He has transformed their Offense and is opening up their passing game by just his presence out there.. nevermind the fact he has been really good early in the season.
  4. They need a QB & that may require draft capital. They already have young/prime players to pay on the DL in Thibodeaux, Burns and Lawrence. Are they planning on paying Ojulari too?
  5. Used to be a staple of my mornings having on in the background at the office. I've since switched to Get Up. GMFB has basically morphed into an ESPN type show where they focus on only certain teams and they do it with half of them in LA and the other half in NY. Just meh. If I'm going to watch ESPN type content, I'll just watch it on ESPN where everyone is around the table together. As it stands, NFL Live is the only sports show worth watching on tv.
  6. Apples and Oranges. Far be it for me to defend McDermott in the postseason, but they've been hit pretty hard with a cluster of injuries at the WR position. Two of them being potentially season ending. They happened before the trade deadline. When we lost Tre White last year, we made a trade for Rasul Douglas. There are only so many moves to make when you start losing major pieces and/or multiple players at one position group entering/in the playoffs. If this happened to Kansas City and they had to play in the playoffs without the ability to trade for a Hopkins, then we can discuss if the "woe is me" attitude from their fans is warranted... because it would be. Just like it was for us last year.
  7. Doesn’t matter that it’s a lie. Majority of democrats will fall for it just like they do everything else.
  8. Didn’t yall love when Obama talked about Trump’s D on stage at the DNC?
  9. Coming back down to earth
  10. Rams reportedly looking to trade Kupp. Will take on salary for a 2nd Round Pick.
  11. Portland is exactly how Portlandia portrays it and you can't change my mind on that. (I've also never been to Portland).
  12. Honestly, this is a good point. Tampa Bay did it with a relentless pass rush, but the Chiefs were also down a bunch of OL in that game, right? Cinci did it, not with dominant DL guys, but with a post-halftime Defensive gameplan hail mary that worked. SF is the one I look at, where yea.. Bosa is on the level of Garrett and might as well not be out there against KC in the Playoffs. And some of it is due to playoff officiating, which allows far more physical play and KC has been able to take advantage of that with their offensive line and defensive backs while everyone else just whines about it.
  13. Doesn't have the same talent at corner and you can't defend us the same way with Amari Cooper and a healthy Shakir. But I agree.. would like to see if he tries the same strategy and what we look like countering that now.
  14. Dems solid in EV for PA, although it’s starting to tighten. Firewall they say they’re hoping for is 400k/500k depending on who you talk to. Some question if that’s enough, but we shall see. Major unknown will still be if Republicans can turn out their new registrations and low propensity voters.
  15. I'm with you. I don't trust Houston. Stroud has looked lost without Nico Collins, even though he still has Diggs and Dell. We played horrific in that game, but were still a blown coverage from a rookie starting his first game away from winning that dumpster fire mess. Baltimore is a team I'd really rather play at home. I think, if fully healthy, we're better positioned to beat them, but that's asking a lot from this team and we're going to need our DT's to seriously man up as we don't have that traditional run stuffer in the middle. I'd love to trade for that, but I don't necessarily see where that guy is available. Kansas City is likely only losing 2 or 3 games max. It is what it is. We'll have to almost run the table to think about a 1 seed.
  16. I think getting Milano back, potentially adding Hyde down the stretch and the development of Carter are all things that will help us against Baltimore. We were down some big time defensive players in that game a few weeks ago who have since returned to the lineup as well. So, I think, as it stands.. our defense would fare much better against them now, than they did Week 4. But you’re correct, a big, talented DT is probably the move to make.. but teams aren’t typically very eager to trade guys like that.. and their contracts aren’t typically ones that can be easily absorbed.
  17. I think, as long as we stay relatively healthy, we match up well with everyone except the Ravens. I know we were missing some guys that game on Defense and had a hobbled Shakir, no Cooper .. but I might think about a trade deadline target that has a potential playoff matchup with them in mind. Especially with them having the head to head, if that matchup ends up being back in Baltimore.
  18. Long season still ahead and Lamar has folded in the playoffs, but seems pretty clear that they are the best team in the AFC right now.
  19. Keon has already proved to me that he can be a Tee Higgins level WR2 as he develops… WR1 ability will depend on his route running and nuance. And in regards to that, he’s still incredibly raw/young as a WR.
  20. They showed the replay and he got stepped on, then rolled his ankle.
  21. If Rousseau and Epenesa could play with any semblance of consistency, this wouldn’t be a concern. Give me those two playing like they did yesterday, plus Von & Smoot and pass rush isn’t a concern. Once we get to the Playoffs and have to play Mahomes, Burrow, Stroud, Jackson.. can we count on the pass rush to get there? Because I know Chris Jones is going to make plays for KC and they have him whereas the rest of us don’t have that guy. If that guy somehow becomes available, I think you’ve got to try to move heaven and earth to get him, especially being in his prime. Now if the poster above indicating he’s severely injured and will be battling through that all season.. ok, well that dampens my intrigue.
  22. Kinda cringed at the Rousseau quote of “they eventually have to start running their normal stuff”… Ok, but we can’t keep spotting teams 10-14 points before our Defense gets its act together. We saw what that does to the Offensive game script against Houston & Baltimore.
