2024 Election Polls - President - Senate - House

No, it’s not. Clark County is reporting in Nevada, and Jon Ralston is as good at this as it gets. NC/GA are updated every night. The above 3 look bad for Harris. PA is the mixed bag. Dems up by about 360k raw ballot returns in EV so far (not great for D’s, but not awful either - given EV in other battleground states, I’d think Dems will at least be relieved to see these numbers here)… but that growth is slowing and R’s are over performing in early vote compared to previous years + a huge increase in voter registration. -
It is, but it’s also 5-10 minutes from Midtown. And nowhere near any of the rougher parts of urban Atlanta. It’s like saying Staten Island is NYC. It is.. its also nothing like the other boroughs. I can go for run on the Path Greenway and see Trump signs in front of houses in the residential areas. When Kemp ran, Kemp signs were all over Buckhead.
-
Im in Buckhead. As it stands, I’d stay here. They literally threatened to secede from Atlanta due to crime spilling up from Midtown and Kemp/Dem ATL Mayor gave us our own police force to prevent that from happening. Fwiw… as it stands, I’d probably be ok staying on Long Island (where I moved from). It’s almost all red, outside a blue city. Would I live in NYC? Nah. Long Island, maybe. Atlanta (Midtown)? Probably not. Buckhead, yea. That said.. I also have a place in South Carolina, and if Georgia ever became progressive blue, I’d probably spend more time there.
-
I don’t think it will… seems redder this go around and the reason it went blue for Biden and gave us two Dem Senators is because of the man you mention above. Eventually, one way or another, he’ll be out of the picture. That said.. if it does, Georgia “blue” isn’t the same as NY “blue”. Dems compete in Georgia mainly through black folks, a growing Indian population and then trying to win Hispanics and the battleground Atlanta suburbs. They’ve made gains in the Atlanta suburbs due to Trump, but those Atlanta suburbs overwhelmingly support Republicans like Brian Kemp. Also.. black/hispanic voters in Georgia aren’t exactly progressive. They are heavy church going types and aren’t obsessed with abortion and lgbtq issues. Even the Democrat Mayor of Atlanta ran on stopping crime and came out against certain elements of the Biden/Harris border strategy. Weve had a few flare ups since the riots of 2020 and they’ve been heavy handedly shut down.

2024 Election Polls - President - Senate - House
SCBills replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Looking at raw EV Data… there’s only one question beginning to emerge.. Does the strong EV showing thus far for Republicans detract from their election week/day of voting or is this evidence of the new R+1 national map and increased R efforts to turn out low propensity voters? PA remains a mixed bag. EV returned ballot numbers that can give hope to both sides. -
So… does anyone think that was a successful outing for Kamala Harris, because what the **** was that?
-
This dude sucks so bad. Surprised he didn’t say something like “hey fellas, let’s huddle up…”

I’m voting for the the Republican candidate as a vote for more masculine views. I could gaf about Trump and his fupa. If im “propagandized” on the topic, might want to ask why the vast majority of men agree with me. In regards to the border.. “but the bipartisan border bill!!” Enough. They opened the borders for years and then tried to sell us a border bill that would allow for 3x the amount per day that Obama’s DHS said would be an emergency. My brother was forced to get vaxxed for his job and immediately developed a heart condition. I would crawl over glass to vote for anyone who knocks these people out of power. Adding RFK to the potential administration solidified that. Your version of masculinity is ::checks notes:: obeying Draconian Covid rules. You’re mistaking testosterone for estrogen.

In this age, everyone will get caught from time to time with a fake story. I typically wait for a story to develop before sharing it and only really share stories with factual reporting of data and/or stories that have been reported by multiple (somewhat) reliable outlets … I say somewhat because every news outlets posts fake news at an alarming rate. Tell me where I’m propagandized… I’m pro-life & while I believe political middle ground can be had, I can’t support a party that demands taxpayer funding of abortion, no limits and the forcing of religious institutions to perform them. Trump is the most pro-choice R candidate of my lifetime, but at least he’s vowed to leave it to the states. I believe in free speech and a hard pushback on censorship/suppression. One party believes there should be malleable exceptions to free speech and that we shouldn’t be able to decide what stories we consume.. the other side is built on a pillar of supporting free speech. Not all on that side are so in good faith, but more often than not, it’s a right they fight for. I believe in protecting our border and culture. Call me xenophobic or nationalist. I don’t care. Legal immigration is a foundation of this country. However, Intentional pseudo-open borders is a choice… and it’s not a choice I support. I want a President who attempts to end wars. Not escalate them. And I will support a President who will stand up for masculinity in the traditional sense and not equivocate on someone like Daniel Penny who risks rotting away in a prison, because your side of the aisle wants retribution for a man protecting others. Trump’s economic policies will benefit me as a small business owner more, but it’s not even about that … I don’t think Kamala Harris’s economic policies will be destructive to my bottom line, because honestly my line of business is recession/inflation proof. This is about whether we are a country that has a culture and the ability to express ourselves freely without swirling government expansion in all areas of our digital life. And furthermore … I will never support the party of vaccine passports and vaccine mandates. Yall showed your true colors in an emergency and will do it again. You are the party of the perceived collective good at the detriment of the individual. And you continue that charade even when the collective good fallacy has been exposed.

It honestly says a lot about you that you shared an Art Candee post where she clips Mark Halperin before he gets to the part where he says he has seen the story but doesn't believe it to be true. You’re the actual mark for social media grifters to distort remarks made by others in an effort to propagandize.
-
I’m not “siding with Trump” Im siding with my reality of not being easily propagandized by anonymously sourced stories and folks who say things that can’t be corroborated. Kelly has people who don’t even like Trump coming out and defending him on this. I also think he should pick a new journalist to speak with, because Goldberg has a history of this.. and a history of promising corroboration that never comes. As a result, this particular Atlantic story has zero sway on my opinion. And it shouldn’t sway anyone else’s either .. alas, confirmation bias is a hell of a thing. In regards to this alleged bombshell. The fact people are saying there’s video makes it a complete miss for me. If there was video, a NYT/WaPo/CNN etc would be in a bidding war for the story. As we stand, no one will touch it. And it’s now being shopped to folks like Mark Halperin.. who’s plugged in, sure.. but not exactly the A-list of outlets.
-
So John Kelly was just Trump’s go to in a crowd for bonkers statements that could always be used against him? And Kelly didn’t think to tell us of these claims back when he hit us with the uncorroborated “suckers and losers” … he decided to wait four years, until right before the election, for a “but wait.. there’s more!”
-
Zero people have ever corroborated a John Kelly claim. Plenty of people in the room have gone on record saying they were there and never heard it. Even people like Mark Esper have said they were there and never heard any of these things said. The literal family of the dead soldier supports Trump and refutes what was said. But, sure, it’s possible everyone else can’t hear and John Kelly somehow is the only one that hears Trump say wildly inflammatory things. And I guess it’s possible he only remembers they were said right before elections.

So why was Amari Cooper traded twice in his prime?
SCBills replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was a cap casualty in Dallas and Jerry Jones wasn’t fond of Cooper’s Covid vaccine stance. Browns are in tear down mode and wouldn’t have traded him if Watson was A) healthy and B) any good. The fact they “might” trade the pillar of that team (Myles Garrett) in his prime, is an indication of the depths that franchise has sunken to at the moment. -
There are plenty of people who loathe Trump. John Kelly just so happens to hear things nobody else has heard… in environments where other people (some who also despise Trump) would have heard. The author of the piece is the same guy behind “suckers and losers”. He promised on CNN, more corroboration, which never came. And now they’re back with another bombshell that only John Kelly heard and only this man was willing to publish in a publication owned by a Harris friend & donor. And Harris immediately holds a 3 minute press conference on it. And Harris immediately makes it her entire closing pitch at the National Mall. FOH… you know it’s all bs.
-
The Goldberg/Kelly story is a plant. Im sorry, but it is. Just like suckers and losers, last elections iteration. Where only Kelly heard it, no one else. In which Goldberg promised more corroboration, then never gave any. It’s the same playbook. Hitler/Latinos. Hitler for the base. Anti-Latino comment because they’re bleeding Hispanics. What a perfect story for the Harris campaign to seize on!! Anddd immediately she calls a press conference to do just that lol. It’s obvious. Please don’t be so gullible.
-
I don’t necessarily believe the polls, but trendlines are a useful thing to monitor. Up until some, out of nowhere, polling that dropped today’s, Harris has been in free fall both nationally and in swing states. Those who aren’t beholden to the campaign, but can see internals, have warned it looks bad for Harris. EV, everywhere but PA, has looked great for Republicans and this week so far has put a damper on the hope Dems had last week for their PA EV firewall. Still.. we’re a divided country, and surely this race is razor close. Right? Ok, now I’m convinced it’s not. The strategy of the Harris campaign and tonal shift of our already pro-Dem media this week is almost even enough to make me shocked… and a bit unnerved. I don’t know what these next two weeks hold, but I know it’s probably going to be an onslaught like we’ve never seen before.. because they know she’s losing. There’s no other explanation. John Kelly and his unsubstantiated story about Hitler (drink everytime a Dem calls Trump Hitler) and a dead soldier who’s entire family is supporting Trump and all involved push back (including Esper) on a man who last election pushed “suckers and losers” which to this day, still has zero corroboration. In a publication owned by a Harris friend/donor. Biden calling to lock him up. Harris calling a press conference to double down on the clearly planted, poorly sourced, Kelly story. Now this… Folks, if there was a video, those who have been shopped the story wouldn’t say they think the story is false and would jump at being the one to break it. If I felt they were holding back until the last minute to release it, I’d say that makes sense as a stategy, but a story is being shopped and numerous people have gone on record to say they were offered it but don’t believe it has any merit. So clearly it’s not a slam dunk bombshell that’s being strategically held onto. This rhetoric is going to get Trump killed and the Democrats/Media are rapidly approaching a point of no return for this country.

At some point, there can't be an excuse every year. That's kind of the world we're living in since 13 seconds.. Team ran out of gas post-Hamlin & Allen had a pretty major injury in '23 / Team was decimated by injury in '24 Ok, valid, but at some point you can't just keep making excuses and blaming injuries. THAT SAID... The Chiefs biggest threat last year was us. They played a Bills team with a ton of injuries to major parts of the team along with one position group completely wiped out on Defense. Chiefs biggest threat the year before was the winner of Buf/Cin. They got Cin, who played them missing 4/5ths of their OL. It showed. Chiefs haven't dealt with anything close to that in the postseason aside from the TB Super Bowl, in which they looked like a JV team.

Record Early Turnout In Georgia
SCBills replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Doesn’t matter other than in the context of how ruby red Florida has become. Absolutely wild EV numbers for Republicans in the former battleground state. -
Chiefs have been the healthiest team during their run. Doesn't mean they haven't had injuries, but they aren't losing guys like other teams are. The one year they did, the made it to the Super Bowl and those injuries caused them to get demolished by Tampa Bay. Two years ago they played a CIN team missing almost their entire OL. Last year they played us missing our entire LB room, as well as our WR2 and guys playing with major injuries that shouldn't have even been out there. The Chiefs have had to deal with injuries like that once, and its the above mentioned TB Super Bowl game.
