Its not just “the next year” with the Rams. Maybe they can be mediocre next year .. maybe. They may be looking at 2-3 years of bad football in exchange for the SB. A team like the Saints took the poison pill for one year because it was just yolked up contracts they kicked down the line. The Rams have done the same AND traded away a ton of picks.

People will say “Well, they got their Super Bowl”.. Eh, I want one, but not like this. Not when you trade away your entire future and are horrible after. It likely doesn’t get much better. Stafford is deteriorating, Donald has half his foot out the door, they have no young talent and not much ability to infuse the team with it moving forward. Id honestly trade Donald to rebuild with picks if I’m them.

Not sure about the mask thing .. maybe he has multiple masks? But the person definitely did it. It’s alllll over Twitter.

KC fans were worried that “Twitter-famous”, Chiefsaholic hadn’t posted in a few days. After some sleuthing, they figured out .. He’s been in jail for robbing a bank in the famous mask he wears to games. Anyone on Bills Twitter has probably seen this guy posting since the rise of the Bills/Chiefs rivalry.

Looking ahead to the Bengals- another Cinci DE gets injured

Its a coping mechanism for some here. They did it when Josh got hurt. Did it again when Von got hurt. Maybe it helps with worst case scenarios like Von? Its also extremely annoying. -

Haven’t their receivers been injured on and off all season? -
Interesting Diggs Split Stat from The Athletic

I feel like Gabe and Knox are starting to show signs... There's sign of life from them in the passing game. It's not popping just yet.. Gabe still isn't putting up numbers a WR2 should in this Offense and Knox still has the drops here and there. But Davis is starting to show he can do more than just go routes, and Knox showed why he's so dangerous when we can get him vertical in the passing game. Get those two going heading into the playoffs, and this Offense will take off. Things should open up more for us when the Bills take the restraints off Allen and he just starts gashing teams on the ground whenever they give him a lane. -
NFL Week #15 - Fish at Buffalo - Post Game Thread
SCBills replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed on the run game stuff. Made zero sense why they abandoned it... we were on skates all night trying to defend it. I'm more impressed at how well prepared they were for the cold. The way he prepped them set it up for an embarrassing evening, and they looked completely comfortable in the cold.. best Tua's ever played in the cold, that's for sure. He had them ready to go. They looked a little rattled when the snow rolled in, but the energy is the stadium looked insane on tv once we tied it up. They felt it for sure. -
The Bills corners actually made plays on the ball for much of the game. It’s an improvement. I had gotten far too used to seeing yards of separation or the backs of our CB’s jerseys as the WR makes a catch over them.

Jets desperately need Quinnen back if that want a chance to beat Jax on Thursday. Sneaky good game with the storylines and playoff implications.

NFL Week #15 - Fish at Buffalo - Post Game Thread

I like their coach .. I think he’s legit. They are loaded though. Probably the most talented team in the AFC outside QB. They probably are hovering around 3-4 losses if Tua doesn’t miss games early in the season. @Chargers, @Niners, @Bills is just an insane stretch of games… and it highlighted how important an elite QB truly is. 0-2 against teams with elite QB’s and while Miami is a Top 3 non-QB talent team.. SF is #1, and it showed. -
I just ran the playoff simulator with my best guesses and got Chargers at Jacksonville. I'd give Jacksonville a shot there. Also got Ravens at Chiefs and Dolphins at Bengals. Yea.. avoiding WC Weekend in the AFC is a big deal. Those are some potentially fantastic games.

If Frazier can coach our guys to just play disciplined, this should look a lot like how they defend Lamar Jackson. Rousseau and Shaq are great edge setters and perfectly suited to contain rush if they stay disciplined.

Interesting Diggs Split Stat from The Athletic
SCBills replied to inthebuff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not shocking.. I'd have to imagine the Chiefs splits are similar with Kelce on/off the field. Both teams now have one elite playmaker and some guys. Comparing the Bills/Chiefs skill guys to the Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers is pretty eye-opening. -
I thought Brady might still have some big game magic in him, but yesterday is the first time that I've ever thought he's finally washed. People have written him off over and over, and it's always been premature, but that second half Bucs performance against the Bengals was the most pathetic display of football that I've ever witnessed. They literally just kept giving the Bengals the ball deep in their own territory... I've never seen anything like it.
-
I'd agree that chances are likely KC is still going to be a game we have to win regardless of seeding... but if we can get the 1, I'm not sold that KC beats Chargers/Dolphins in the WC and then the Bengals. Do I think they will, yes... but not if they keep playing like they've been playing. They are a lot like us right now, but with a worse defense. Mahomes/Kelce and some decent guys. Sounds similar to Allen/Diggs and some decent guys. Neither team has multiple gamebreakers like the Bengals, Dolphins, Chargers do.
-
I know the league doesn't seem to flip games like that, but who cares about Broncos/Rams.. It effects nothing. Both teams are out of the playoff picture. Seeing the SNF guys try to do a hype intro for Bucs/Cardinals after last night's game was sad... you could see Tirico and Collinsworth had zero excitement for that nonsense.
-
If the Bills can't get in on Friday, have to assume the best that could be done is fly in day of, but the game would likely have to be moved to later in the day/night if that's the case. If the current forecast is correct, this doesn't look like it gets played as scheduled.. at least, in Chicago.
-
Far be it for me to tell our coaches how to run the secondary.. If there's anything they should earn out trust on, it's being able to coach up the secondary.. but for the love of Christmas, just let Tre and Elam finish out the season and see if they can gel going into the Playoffs. No reason we can't have a poor man's version of what the Jets have in Sauce & Reed. I say "poor mans" because it remains to be seen if Tre can get close to 100% by the Playoffs and Elam just doesn't have the reps yet.
-
The Waddle TD looked like more of a scheme breakdown. If I remember correctly, Edmunds saw what was going on, motioned to Poyer (who had crept up) to watch out for Waddle in the slot.. Poyer either misunderstood or didn't catch it, and Waddle ran right through the defense untouched.
-
Watched Jackson get torched week in, week out.. Only saw Elam get beat on one play against an elite WR room where Tyreek Hill made a great catch as Elam made a play on the ball... a play on the ball ::gasp:: did not know our outside corners were allowed to do that. Only guy I saw get beat was Tre when he was playing press man, minus any actual pressing. Although, outside that play, Tre was pretty good.
-
Agreed. There are no cupcakes likely in this years AFC Playoffs. If a non-1 seed makes it to the Super Bowl, they will have gone through a gauntlet. Titans, Jets and Pats are likely the 3 "easy" games, IF any of them make it... not looking likely at this point. Even Tennessee looks like they may get overtaken by the Jags.. because this is what the AFC needs.. another potentially elite QB.
-
They are overrated .. they aren’t as good as last year, but we may not be either. We may just have to see if the Bills can flip a switch in the playoffs like last year. We are developing a postseason pedigree, so we very well might .. especially when you factor in the willingness to unleash Allen’s legs in postseason games. As for the Chiefs - They still have Mahomes and Reid, as you point out. They still have a playoff pedigree. They’re still the team to beat, even if they don’t get the 1 seed. Until another AFC team wins a Super Bowl, they are the team to beat.
