I noticed that too. Must be nice to know it’s a lock. And I remained constantly baffled as to why the Bills don’t use more roll out action with Josh in similar situations. He’s a clear threat to run it in, putting the defense in a real bind. In short….enough already with the ridiculous 50:50 fade routes to the deep pylon. Sheeessh!

If I’m following along, the basic point of this thread is to discuss whether the Bills should jump ahead and extend Brown’s contract BEFORE it’s up next season? Do they have any legitimate money available to do that? Seems to me this same discussion could apply to any number of players who’re in their pre-contract season….no? Anybody have the list of the other players who’re in a similar situation? That’s ultimately the measuring stick.

I have to agree. Just look at how many teams lost their starting quarterback this past season. If that happens to the Bills next year, we’re obviously toast.

It all comes back to Von. They’d just watched the Rams go all in and get a trophy for it. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for the Bills. Now, the test will be what they do about it. The Rams seem to have fixed it pretty darn quickly.

If he has, he needs to do it again with a different guru! Because to date it hasn’t stuck. And….If he hasn’t he definitely needs to.

These webcams are generally provided by the Construction Team…in this case Turner, one of the largest companies in the world. They use them to promote their work and progress. Unfortunately on a project as large as an NFL stadium it’s hard to pick an angle whose sight line won’t get blocked by the actual building at some point. When that happens we typically ask them to move it every few months.

As you know, many businesses never reach the top and never will the Buffalo Bills if they keep thinking this ‘process’ nonsense is going to give them the answers. At this point in McDs reign it is nothing more than a cliche. Taking the final step is NOT about The Process. It’s about staying in the moment, at the moment of ultimate testing. I’m beginning to think the team needs something akin to a zen retreat, and then that guru needs to walk the sideline during playoff crunch time as a clear visual reminder of what they have hopefully trained their minds to do. Sounds a bit dum for sure but it’s what’s lacking from the entire roster and staff.

And you’ve clearly articulated why it isn’t working. They’re working on improving the wrong stuff.

I’d really love to hear what McD (or you) thinks he needs to ‘improve’ on. You seem to think he knows. I definitely do not.

So let’s shelve this discussion until next year. They cannot overhaul the entire roster in one offseason.

And that’s where it comes down to your definition of getting ‘better’…and where I believe you and I disagree. Many on here opine about if we can only load up on some mythical amount of talent, we’re bound to win. Nope. We can beat every other team including KC, with the talent we have. But, if at the moment of key decision and playmaking our talent has a brain cramp, it doesn’t mean squat….and it definitely hasn’t for the last three years. Rinse and repeat over and over again. The exhausting part for us fans is we have to wait entire year for the situation to present itself again only to witness the same head scratching failure.

Shaw….the problem isn’t one of personnel or the team being ‘good’, ‘bad’, or ‘not good enough’. You get ONE chance at the very end of the year, in the final quarter of the final game, and this version of the Bills has choked every year. Until this team (including the coaching staff) can learn to slow their heads and their heart rates down when everything’s on the line, we’ll see the exact same results. Unfortunately we and they have to wait eleven months to see if they’ve learned how. While I like the Colts analogy I cannot recall whether they were similarly afflicted during the Manning years.
