  1. Looks like I’m going to have to finally get a color television so I can see what all the fuss is about.
  2. Ya make $18 Million as a professional athlete and you need a ‘workout’ bonus? Does a carpenter need to remember to bring a hammer to the construction site?
  3. My point still stands and nowhere in my comments did I defend the police officer. If you don’t understand the basic ‘trade’ we made as a society I’m not sure what to tell you. It’s a really simple concept, and I don’t know if there’s a single organized society on the planet that hasn’t made this exact same trade.
  4. Dan Marino isn’t playing on Thursday. Come on man! 😉
  5. Just because someone is on TV, it doesn't make them worth listening to. I'm pretty sure that once the officers run his plates, then look at his license, they 100% KNOW who Tyreek Hill is. They don't have to look at his face, or build. The thing I've wondered about (and maybe somebody on here knows) is when they call up your license in the system does it show a history of other violations/crimes, or does it just show auto violations, and as a smaller subset, just outstanding violations? Honest question.
  6. And that’s why we’re playing them at night! It’s too darn hot to keep your windows down. 😉
  7. Nobody is arguing with you that police aren’t perfect. I’d be shocked if they were. Nobody is arguing that they shouldn’t de-escalate. They should. But…if they don’t….thats all that more reason/occasion for YOU to read the room and comply. Again, the same is true in almost every social situation in life. And when you learn that early on, you’ll be much the better for it.
  8. Being 'embarrassed' is the price you pay for being well known. It's all the more reason for you NOT to put yourself in those sort of situations.
  9. Thanks. And so I think you'd especially agree that during a traffic stop is NOT the time to do much 'questioning'. Once again, as a society, we have a built-in system that provides you with more than ample time and occasion to 'question' or dispute the arrest.
  10. The concept of authority is clearly a challenge for you.
  11. Sorry to hear that Virgil. Many fans wanted (and the Bills surely needed) a new stadium, but it definitely comes at a significant cost. As regards your Pegula statement I guess we’re all going to see. The new stadium is a chance for the organization to do a reset on pricing. You can just imagine the firestorm that would’ve ensued if they decided to double your ticket price for the same seat in the same stadium. So…I’m guessing they already know that others are going to swoop in and take your legacy seats. What’s something worth? What ever someone is willing to pay for it.
  12. Somewhat true, but it’s not his primary role in this offense….and while it was a longer pass, I’m not sure I’d characterize it is a deep ball. It was a sideline jump ball….which is his strength and his role. Again, very nice play by the rookie.
  13. As a tall WR he essentially has one job. Catch and hold onto the ball. He did that Week One. I was impressed. He is not expected to be a speed guy, or a deep threat.
  14. I appreciate that it’s hard to have complex debates on a message board but you seem to be under the impression that you’re on equal footing with the police. You are not. As a society we long ago decided that THEY are the authority and YOU are to comply with their reasonable requests, instructions, and in some cases demands…period. The same is true for a teacher, coach, boss, commanding officer, etc. That’s what being in authority means!
  15. Huh? I don’t see anyone saying that you’re supposed to assist in an ‘investigation’. But go ahead….keep up the fight.
  16. You are to comply with the police officer unless they’re demanding that you do something illegal. Always remember that your interaction with the officer is NOT your day in court.
  17. Miami 31 Buffao 17 The Bills aren’t going to get away with the slow start and sloppy secondary play against a Dolphins team who’ll obviously be treating this game as a critical step to winning the AFCE.
  18. What’s really bad is when NFL Network replays/delays the broadcast of preseason games and still run their score ticker at the bottom of the screen, meaning that you have to avoid looking at the scores if you don’t want to see what happened in the game you’re actually watching! I used to literally tape a piece of cardboard to the bottom of the television. Sheeesh
  19. People don’t seem to understand that we have a societal compact. As citizens, we’ve agreed to cede over confrontational authority to the police in a trade for taking the law into our own hands. For our part in this trade we’re expected to treat the police with some level of respect and compliance. Period!
  20. Nine? I read somewhere that they were a dime for a dozen. We got screwed!
  21. There’s a game today? Are the starters going to play?
  22. I’m not sure what people are looking for. You protect your franchise QB. You lock in your offensive linemen and develop continuity. You simply can’t have moving parts all over the offensive side of the ball. Beane appears to be of the mindset that RB and WR are the positions where you can have flexibility from year to year. We’ll all find out if he’s right.
  23. I have to agree with the OP. The blocking on his first touchdown was unbelievable! I could’ve scored on that play…and I’m old.
  24. Are you watching in some official capacity? 😉
  25. It’s literally impossible for Collingsworth to get his head any further up Lamar’s butt. Geez
