If it works it works.
I just dont know if its gonna work in the playoffs.
Teams in the playoffs can be good enough to gameplan for that style of QB.
Unless he can throw at a level where he can run comfortably, it wont be easy for him to put a string of consecutive playoff wins
Yeah, i dont have the tools to know what really happened in the 1st half, so we dont know how much blame goes where.
But the adjustments were clear in the 2nd half and JA and Daboll both improved. Its seems pretty clear that they both are tied at the hip when it comes to the offensive success.
I thought Josh was very rushed in that first half.
He was rattled early. He tried to stay composed thats for sure, but you could see the eagerness to get rid of the ball.
2nd half, totally different story. He got into his groove and played his elite game.
I agree hes going to get paid regardless what happens.
But he needs to show us he can win against pressure, outdoors in the elements.
This team will be seeing a lot of outdoor games in January for the next 10 years.
Allen has to show he can be just as comfortable as he is indoors
Rainy or snowy and windy night. A Steeler D that leads the league in sacks. Gets alot of pressures.
Im one to believe this is the type of game that QBs just dont look good in.
If Allen can beat the elements, a wet ball and that Steeler pressure and have another "player of the week" performance....then I believe he will be worth top 3 money and we would pay it in an instant.
Lee was the very last read on that play.
Was that DB Sherman? So youre saying if Sherman didnt rush in and saw Lee break he would then start covering Lee?
Yeah....there is a reason JA did not look right.
I think he is the most important piece of the offense outside of JA.
He and JA are on the same page, hes the safety net, hes the one that creates space in the middle of the field, hell work against most mismatches. He knows how to get open.
I would agree with you if we could get a GREAT rb at less than 5 million a year.
Otherwise i see no point for a team that needs to improve on the offensive line first.
Better line....good cheaper backs will produce equally if not better as a GREAT expensive back with a line that struggles to run block.
If you told me Singletary would never fumble a football again id lock him up for the rest of his career.
Hes very agile and makes a lot of people miss at the point of contact...add that he has this strength that would not believe he has.
I really like the way he runs off tackle. Its just watching him hold a football scares the crap out of me.
Having money dont make you smart chief. Floyd Mayweather cant read a Dr. Seuss book but hes loaded.
But if Lee Smith had 1/100th the talent Floyd had...he would have sat and got us 6.
It def isnt talent related. Thats for sure.
Ok we can keep him on as a mentor. The only time i want to see him on the field is when hes giving Josh some water during a timeout.
